just go doc and play gay as hell

jiggs doesn't do well with pills

fireballs are less effective

on smaller stages go mario so you can utilt everything she does

think she's going to bair? shield it, wd in and dsmash

honestly the matchup is simple

I honestly don't get why Mario users don't use this more. Serious! It's a 3 frame Up-B making it one of the fastest oos options in the game, and it can be reversed to cover crossovers. FURTHERMORE Mario's Up-B is an option for followups given its massive range.

Granted you can be punished for whiffing, but seriously, Up-B has legit uses.

it's probably the most risky option too

it doesn't have the same height as samus' up-b so it can't get to some platforms that he can (i.e. yoshi's from the bottom level)

which just means imo, angle it away if you're that scared

You should keep in mind, it's a LOT harder to punish Mario's Up-B when there are platforms nearby. Actually landing on the platform usually isn't the best option, but instead a lot of people will get baited into trying to jump onto the platform, which you can escape by fastfalling through and landing on the ground.

Also, Up-B is one of those options where it basically is sorta like guaranteed to piss off your opponent if they are in the air, in which case it's pretty much always safe to use as a surprise juggle option.

I'd like to revisit peach

I feel like her zoning simply destroys mario

the only thing I can really think of to beat her is our fair/ dair

they both DESTROY her because the only thing she can really do against our dair is Up-B into it or throw a turnip

our fair shoots her to the ground spawning a techchase or giving you a grab, which from there you dthrow -> fullhop dair -> uair to rack some easy dmg

never uthrow against floaties

place your fireballs well

U-tilt is really important against Peach imo.

U-tilting her is generally a strong way of anti-airing her, and it's even better if you U-tilt her out of a float cancel, because then she's above you without float and pretty much free to juggle with whatever.

Spacing Cape is also good against her, because it outdisjoints most of her moves. Just be aware that it's PUNISHABLE ON HIT if she expects it. Usually if you Cape her out of doing a move though it's safe. You should especially consider Caping her to prevent her from shieldgrabbing you at KO percents.

Jab combo -> F-smash might actually combo her at low percents, given she's really floaty. Even if she CCs though it's still a good way of creating space, and generally pushes her out of range to punish.

Fh dair FF auto cancel is our most important move in the matchup, dair and FH fireball wavelands. mix up ur wavelands with FH dair wavelands and bair wavelands. throw in the occasional FH nair waveland.

other than that, steal her jump with a move that sends her horizontal like ftilt. if she tries to upB the edge from below, space a cape then down angle a fsmash

Yeah if Mario could get a free parking combo on Peach like Falcon could...we'd probably be looking at a pretty even matchup at worst.

I think we combo her just fine if the goal is damage...you just have to legitimately outplay her when you need the kill.
