mocha, if it is crashing when you try to load the codes, then i think you have to delete custom stages from the wii and the sd card. just move them all to the sd card, back them up on the computer and then your good to go. i might be wrong though.

You probably just typed it wrong, but the Stages have to be on a separate SD card than what the codes are on.

Edit: I just tested it and its freezing for me as well. As soon as I press start to choose my stage it freezes. I'll see if I can figure what's up.

Louisiana General Brawl Ruleset

-3 Stocks; 8 Minutes (Ties by percent/stock)
-Team Attack ON
-1v1; All items off and set to None; Best 2/3; All Finals 3/5 (Time permitting)
-Bring Your Own Controller
-Advanced Slob Picks
-Stage Striking for first pick
-Stage Bans: Each player may ban one stage after stage striking occurs
-Modified Dave's Stupid Rule: A player/ team may not pick a stage that he won on previously in a set
-Suicide Rule: For Ganon and Bowser, it will always count as a win. For everyone else, a definite win or loss means a win or loss. Sudden Death means the person who initiated the suicide move gets the win.
-Team Color Rule: If a team has Lucario or Sonic on it, they get to be blue.
-Team ports will be 1221. Play R-P-S or flip a coin to decide if there is a disagreement.
-R-P-S for port priority.
-No infinites past 300%
-Ledge grab limit is 40

STAGE STRIKING:

We will use STAGE STRIKING to start the set. NOT RANDOM. Basically, Player A chooses one stage from the Starter list that he doesn't want to play. Player B picks a stage he doesn't want from the remaining list. Players A & B alternate until only one stage is left. This is the stage for the first match.

The Procedure

Game 1 is played on one of the starter stages. At this time, both players stage strike, meaning that each one of you eliminates one stage until one is left, then you play on that stage.

Game 2 starts the counterpick system in a sense if you so choose. It goes like this: Loser of Game 1 chooses the next stage for Game 2, then the winner of Game 1 picks his/her character, then the loser of Game 1 picks his/her character. Game 2 then begins. The process for Game 3 is the same if the match gets to it.

When Game 2 starts, both players each get one stage ban, meaning whatever stage a person decides to ban, that stage cannot be picked for the duration of the match.


Extra rules

- Wobbling IS allowed, but it must not go beyond 200% to prevent excessive stalling.
- Dave's Stupid Rule is applied - A player may not pick a stage that he/she has already won on.
- Ties are broken by stocks, then percentage.

I think its kind of obvious that the main reason this thread died was the creation of the backrooms. All the serious smash talk is there. I think backrooms are needed in a large community (over 100 maybe) but I think in a smaller community it only works to completely alienate all the new smashers online, as well as those looking to make the transition to and from Melee/Brawl. Of course that's crazy because all they'd have to do is ask to play, but when all they have to see is spam from bored members it's kinda lame. Plus a lot of prominent smash players dont even check this thread anymore, so its not at all a representation of our smash community, like it once was. :o

But oh well, good thing Im in the br. XD
