Maaaaybe. Bones is holding a Melee tourney that weekend and he has my controller, so I dunno. I have spares though. I guess it depends how open Omni is to letting us show off P:M, since the Melee guys love it.
I can't decide if I like Duane and Brando's Final Fantasy or Mega Man 2 better. They're both epic as ****.

That was pretty fun. Nice to see that DK is coming along well. Charizard's nair is lol, and Squirtle actually looks interesting, if it weren't for his new terrible fair.

Blame Shell for the bad fair. I have no clue what he was aiming for after changing the previous version I made. XD He did give it a new landing animation though, so that's a +.

Any particular reason why neutral b is getting the axe? I get Mario's Fludd being axed because of the tried-and-true "it's not Melee", but now we're going to remove the only remenant of that particular unique mechanic? Most likely only because it bears a resemblence to Mario's ever-hated Fludd??
I really hate the logic behind this project sometimes -_-. This new neutral b had better be ****ing baller.

Nothing happened, it was just scary as ****. Dudes just sitting on their stoops in the middle of the night in run down neighborhoods staring at me as I drive through.

I thought they were getting rid of FLUDD because
A. Mario has the Cape already
B. Tornado can help with his recovery.
And I figure squirtle's water gun is getting murdered because it's overpowered in an environment with Melee recoveries.

A. Apples to oranges. Both attacks, while you can use them to make recovering more difficult for the opponent, both moves have much more stubleties between them that comparing the two is a moot point. That would be similar to saying you should take out the Marinado because he has dair (body-spinning multi-hit attacks. Both are used very differently though).
B. If you've watched any match from a competent Mario player in Brawl/+, you know that Fludd help's Mario's recovery as well. Granted you can't use it on the fly like Marinado, but Fludd gets you a silly amount of distance in the air. Greater the risk to set up, greater the reward.
If the problem is that Squirtle's neutral b is too good against Melee recoveries, perhaps it would be more prudent to revert it back to vBrawl status and work from there. Granted, vBrawl water gun was pretty ****ty (hence why it was buffed as it was), but who knows, it might be just good enough to work on those awful Melee recoveries without being OP.

So, next weekend we have another Graphix Melee tourney hosted by Bones, and a very large (75+) Brawl tourney hosted by Omni in Baltimore (which is probably closer to all of us). I'm 90% sure I'm going to the Brawl tourney. P:M will get a lot more exposure from a lot more people there, and there are people going who I don't get to see often which will be cool. Omni already said it was ok to get P:M going in a corner somewhere.
Who else is in? I believe TH is still up in the air, depending on when he can take his class to avoid being a felon or whatever
so we'll see. Should be fun though.

Do any of you have DQ9 for the DS? I only ask because I know it has some multiplayer aspects (not really sure what they are though).
I think I'm gonna go buy it, and it will be my first actual game purchase in a looooong time.

I'll just leave it at that. It has GOT to go. Nerf or not, it's still a waterbox. I know I'm seeming kinda uh, aggressive maybe? But that's not it. I'm just heavily concerned.
