If you get there at noon, I'll pick you up. If you get there at 4:30, Thunderhorse will pick you up. Pick one. It's a bit more convenient for us if you come at noon though, since then Thunderhorse wouldn't have to swing by the metro.

Well that's that then.

btw I fixed G&W (nair and dtilt work almost identically to Melee now) so expect me to pull him out a lot more often now that he's not borked.

So, you wanna play?
So... there were 3 altercations that resulted in fights almost breaking out at my double header today.

I was in the middle of all of them protecting my guys.

I don't get it. Are we supposed to be looking at the bad throw to first or the catcher getting knocked on his ***?

That's a ****ty hint.

Did you guys know that about a month ago they released...

POWERTHIRST 3!!!!!!!

ok, not as good as the first 2. But it's still kinda funny, mostly because it's so wtf trippy.

Oh and this is good too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85WNaVTXVaI
Aye... it's the catcher getting blown up.

Adios (alpha) Mother (mike) F-----s (foxtrot)!!

A-Team... gah why did I bother...?

-----

In addition, I did a little research into Kickass and found that it was independently funded because the movie studios that wanted it tried to "tone down the violence" or "make the characters older." And the comic was written at the same time as the film, so I, actually, didn't go watch a comic book movie (so stop trying to tell me I did!).

So another independent movie rocks... trend?

What do you mean not as good as the first two? That was ****ing awesome.

Red Bull may give you wings, but Powerthirst gives you BIRDS! Birds birds all over your body. You're the birdman!

It is official: Falco is officially the manliest character in Smash. I see no other birdmen. Not even Falcon.

How the hell was I supposed to get that out of A M F?

And Kick-*** is most definitely a comic book movie. I have a theory though. Movies and the comics they're based on are inversely proportional in how good they are. Because movies based on well known comics all suck, but the ones based on lesser known comics like Iron Man are ****ing awesome. And Kick-*** is the best comic book movie by far, because it had a super ****ty comic (yes I read it, don't judge me).

TH, yeah it was pretty funny. I just don't like how they turned it into a song. I liked the style of the first two better.

They said it like 3 times in the movie. Alpha Mike Foxtrot. I can explain it fully but I feel like I'm giving too much away to a great movie.

Anyone interested in going to a concert next weekend with a ton of hair metal bands? It's got the Scorpions (Rock You Like A Hurricane), Cinderella (Don't Know What You Got Till It's Gone), Warrant (Cherry Pie), Kix (I've heard they're good), and other lesser known ones.

iunno, just throwing it out there. It's at Merriweather, which is in Columbia. Tickets are $35. It's an all day thing. Any interest? Or would you guys rather just do a smashfest?

yeaaahhh boy I'm down for a concert! We can do a smashfest if there's not enough interest for that though. But even though I love smash and all, it's a metal concert, which is just ******.

In other news, I went to see Kick-*** for the 3rd time with quinnydinny. It's still awesome btw :bee:

I don't have to be at work early for once, but I think I'm still gonna wake up early to catch tomorrow's World Cup games. Partially because the group of death is playing (Portugal vs Ivory Coast, which should be a legitmately good game, and Brazil vs LOL North Korea, which'll be a complete beatdown. Seriously who seeds the best nation in the league in the same round robin as the worst nation?), partially because I've just been following on my iphone so far and really want to see the actual match play out instead of just listening to it, and partially just to spite Bandit, cause we have way too much beisball in here.

Soccer is the worst sport ever to watch. I'd seriously rather watch golf, all day, then soccer.

And I say this after watching 30+ college games.

I'm sorry. As much as I dislike soccer, soccer > golf. Golf barely even qualifies as a sport in my book.

Bandit, what say you about the concert? TH is in, so if you are too, I'd say it's a go.

We could do a smashfest Friday night. And I do mean SMASHfest. TH vs Bandit Rainbow Challenge!

about batman, i would disagree with majority being terrible

first 4 batmans, first one = good. jack nicholson was a good joker.
2nd batman = not as good, but still an entertaining movie for its time
batman forever = i actually liked it, but generally considered to be crap
batman and robin = absolute crap
batman begins = new take, good movie
dark knight = epic awesome

that makes the count 4 good movies or at least passable to 2 horrible movies

There is yet to be a Batman movie where the title character is actually worth watching on his own merit. Dark Knight is the only one I would consider good, and guess what? It would've been better if Batman hadn't been in it! That goes for all his movies. He is the worst superhero ever next to Superman and maybe Spiderman.

On a brighter note, Nintendo apparently had an amazing E3 showing (I didn't actually follow it myself since I had low expectations but from what Ive heard). Best news: A true sequel to Starfox 64! Hype!!! First game I've actually felt an urge to buy since like ... Mario Galaxy. The first one.

And it looks like we're leaning toward a smashfest this weekend. That cool with everyone? We should start recording more matches. Maybe we can do a for-fun P:M tourney.

I watched the live steam of the event and I must say I have been pretty impressed with E3 this year overall.

Wii stuff

-DK Country Returns
-Kirby Epic Yarn
-Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
-Wii Party (this game had almost no applause after the video haha)
-Goldeneye 007 Remake
-Mario sports mix

3DS
-Kid Icarus Uprising
-Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D
-Kingdom Hearts
-some sonic game
-Starfox 64 3D
-Mario Cart 3DS

DS
-Golden Sun Dark Dawn

lots of other crap too

microsoft basically focused on their motion control stuff. Though Halo space combat looked cool and MGS Rising was sick.
