Actually, in my school, there's people who love Smash but never played Melee. When I say Smash Bros, they think of the original. Some don't even know that one came out for the GameCube actually....

It basically says Side B > Jab and low d-airs will shield stab taller characters.

i do low down airs all the time to avoid the shield it'll hit their feet works wonders on samus
