You know, I'm actually glad we didn't get any reveals today. There's a much better environment to show something off at nintendo's direct, including showing games coming to the switch, etc.

Yes, and let's not forget that Square Enix teased some "surprising news" scheduled for the 10th of this month.

The Banjo hype is sudden and a bit out of nowhere. He may come in, but it will be a suprise anyway.
The Erdrick momentum is still there since last november and the legendary hero is backed by many reliable leakers and DQ has at least 2 games scheduled on Switch before the end of the year (Builders 2 and Draque 11).

Let's keep our calm, a reveal in the Nintendo Direct still make totaly sense.

What level do you guys recommend that I train up to before I face the final battle.

Imma be leaving Smashboards soon, and I don't wan the grind to be too long, or else I won't be able to share my impressions.

That'll be the most important to remember if someone like banjo would end up being revealed first. I can easily see erdrick being 3rd dlc. it'd be hard to think it for 4th tho. (unless they really shifted things around)

Yup. No one has claimed Erdrick will be at E3, and the third character is still in development.

iirc I beat the final boss with my party around 35-40. Used protag, kids, and sabretooth. I think the best place to grind is closer to the end of the final dungeon, where you can find king metal slimes.

I’ll stay on the safer side and expect 1 as there’s no middle ground between 1 and 2. (Unless said 1 comes with an echo fighter!)

I think the middle ground would be that they reveal one character and say that another character announcement wont be long, or something like that. ;p

They've both got bird buddies, that's a start.

I'm not too hopeful about a DQ Smash reveal happening much later than E3. Leaving it until after Builders 2 comes out would mean missing the chance to promote that game.

I dont think it matters too much for the timing of games, especially because we dont know when the DQ collection would release (assuming there really is one coming like the leaks)
Some people also mentioned DQ11S, tho that would be a bit late. It could work tho, because then 4th and 5th dlc could be november or december, and last in early 2019.

I would still realy hope for earlier tho.

My party was mid 30s. I used the Son,Daughter,and a Golem. Make sure your son uses insulate after every disruption wave move that Nimzo uses. Have the daughter cast oomph on the son/MC. As for your 3rd party member, spam sages stone. its OP as hell.

That last tip you said is how I was able to get my in-game wife to participate in the final battle and live.

I've been thinking for a while that Erdrick would be the third DLC character (in fact, I believe I even wrote that in this thread at some point). I'm thinking that all we're going to see at E3 is Banjo, and we'll all be left waiting for quite a while longer.

I hope you're all ready for who knows how many more months of constant DQ bashing/speculation/debating. Woo-hoo...! ...Yeah.

In any case, even if they hate Erdrick for whatever reason, I'll be sure to congratulate the Banjo supporters when the time comes.

The stone fragment detector is going wild in the room with Maximo in it, but I don't know how to find it. Do I need a certain amount of mini-medals, or do i eventually get it from Maximo as part of the story later down the line?

Asking cuz I'm getting antsy over not knowing but I didn't want to potentially spoil myself with a guide.

Yes, there is a fragment as reward if I remember well.
This fragment is used to unlock a post game location.
Just make sure to come back once you're at 85 mini medals.

I'm pretty sure that Banjo isn't "Brave", as he must be E3 tied from the beginning as he should be tied with a MS announcement of a new BK game. "Brave" was originally planned to be showed at TGA where Joker took it place on the last moment.

You know, I'm not from here. I've never played a DQ game in my life, didn't know who Erdrick was until a few months ago, and no hate to Erdrick but there's other Square reps that I'd prefer to see.

That being said, if the leakers are right and we get Erdrick I hope he at least isn't super generic in terms of moveset, especially because I think a Three Houses rep will be forced on us.

Not an Erdrick fan, but I have to pay my respects to a community of people who have been supporting this movement since Smash Brawl. We're all anxious and excited for E3, I wish us both the best!

Brave has been around for about as long as Joker. They are 100% going to be the next DLC fighter, it would make no sense to delay them further. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Brave is Erdrick, not Banjo, not Sora, not anyone else.

I think it's best to just look forward to whenever our time possibly arrives, and try to be happy for the Banjo supporters in the meantime. I earnestly hope that, after Banjo's revealed, everyone will be satisfied and lay off the Erdrick/DQ bashing a bit.
