I work at Applebee's. I the people I severed said I did a good job and I kept them happy so when that happens I gets dah money. I hope to be able to keep up such good work.

Oh you serve now too? How do you like it so far?
You'll find that serving can be amazing at times. Those tips are a fantastic thing to have. Getting money everytime you work a shift instead of waiting two weeks for a check can be reeeaally handy

I've been serving for almost 3 years now so I can usually tell if a person is gonna tip well or not. (I usually focus more on the people I like more LOL. It sounds bad, but really, you might as well focus on the nice people that are bound to tip then people that don't tip at all!)

The best thing to keep in mind is to prioritize things correctly, which you will learn soon enough. Small things like running a tables food (So it doesn't get cold) before grabbing another tables drinks, or greeting a new table before settling another tables bill (assuming you're responsible for that), etc.

And yeah serving is can definitely be energy consuming. Long shifts kill my back

If the person serving you is really nice/helpful they deserve a tip.

You can tell when people go out of their way to bring you what you want, even asking if everything is ok with food/drink etc makes a really good impression.
