Absolute shoutouts to Dark Peach and Illmatic. I hope D Pch blowing up K Prime was recorded, I'll love to see that set.

I was hoping to see Illmatic vs MikeHAZE, but it seemed like Reflex was playing very well. Ill, can you go through a complete recap of your bracket experience? I really want to know your impressions of X, Reflex and the tourney runner-up Nietono and how they've changed how you view the MU's.

Same to you too actually, D. Pch.
I don't think me and K prime was recorded. But that was my most scariest match that whole day.

Pool 1- I 2-0 everyone in there but zenton. I lost to him 1-2

Pool 2- I had to play M@v first. The first match he beat me with falco with a 2 stock. He got a lil hype. showing off infront of his fanboys. Game 2 I was getting 2 stocked. he got one kill on me then, looked back, pointed at one of his boys and said " for you!" At this point, I looked at him, then at his boy that hyped him up. And said in my head "ok, this ***** gotta die for that" So I just unleashed the emo rage in me and bought the match back and won. Game three I 2 stocked him, then look at him and spit my tounge out at him and pointed my 2 fingers down at him and dipped. Hope he learned his damm lesson to pull that crap on me.

I then fought Nickriddle. I got beat bad game one. I was just figuring out how he played and how to play against him. Game 2 I had him read and it was a close game. But got a lil nervous and he got the last hit.

Next was Ripple. I beat him game one on battlefeild and 2 stocked him on delfino. Im glad I showed this dude how Peach really gets at DK and not think he wins all because he plays one peach alot.

Last was K Prime. I was really scared to play him cause I am not use to playing Pika at all. I had to figure everything out on the go. I was not sure I could do it. But I decided to give it a go and just use my random mindgames as I go along with Peach pressure. First game it was close but lost. Game 2 I got the hand of peach vs Pika but me and him were still going for blood. it was last stock, last hit. I don't remember how but we were both off the stage. I was leveled with the ledge and he was under. I F-B to the stage and he up-B. My attack hit him and he got staged spiked. Game three it was yet another close match. But I had the lead most of the time. It went to last hit as usual. I don't know what happen, but I got the last hit on him.

Bracket- Lost to tyrant. From there I was a lil annoyed. Then I had to play Mike Ray. I basically just rushed him and was getting hit. Then my last stock I SD. From there I really did not feel like playing anymore. So game 2 I was just showing off a lil and what not. And got 2 stocked. Shook his hand and just left.

I was kinda glad I lost. Cause of how this tourny was going. I was tired and really did not feel like playing anymore. Still I should have not been an *** and put up a fight against him For me to score a bracket win. Oh well. Next time his *** is mine, all I can say.

I was not expecting to even make it into bracket. I remember thursday nite at a smashfest I was saying that I was not feeling confident at all and would do horrible. I just was not feeling it. And somehow, someone like ME of all people made it to bracket. I just really could not believe it. Everyone around was proud of me and hugging me after the set with K Prime. heh, I was shaking a lil after the match in disbelieve. And it also seem this was someone of worlds best. Cause the japanese meta that one got the title of best in the world. And he has never won a tournament in japan. His first win was here in the USA. So Alex crowned him that cause apex was a world wide tourny.

So by this, I guess I would be the second best Peach in the world behind Ill since he outplace me by a spot. Oh well. Guess I'll stick with second place for now. Took my *** 3 years to actually do something legit in tourny. Went from hero to scrub to hero again. *shakes head* so much time wasted. Guess Uncle peach is back in buissness?

Just wanted to point out the for you thing is a penn state smash thing. Whenever someone kills with falcos uptilt, it has to be dedicated to that person I pointed to, regardless if its a friendly, tourney, etc.
So I was merely fufilling crew obligations, wasn't trying to showboat.

Twas a fun set, although its a good thing you brought it back game 3. If I had won that set there would of been a 3 way tie between you me and kprime. No idea who would of had the tiebreaker. We would of all beaten eachother(I lose to kprime before you got there), so it would of came down to overall wins/losses

I didn't mean any offense or anything, so please don't take any :).

I know exactly why I lost too. During game 2 you correctly adapted to my playstyle, and I failed to recognize that and didn't re adapt myself, nor could of figured out how, and kept trying to play against you like I did game one, which wasn't going to work.

I will say I heard a lot of people were very surprised you 2nd seeded the pool though.

Eh. I still did not like thats kinda arrogant and foul. But it's w/e.

And Yea, I heard ****load of people were surpised. Even myself. Hell, dmbrandon came up to me and gave me a congrats. I think this was one of apex best moments as silly as that sounds. I know my big bro was with me in spirit throughout this tourament giving me the boost I needed to atleast make it into bracket. R.I.P Frankie Lugo.

How could you even tell that from a friendlie when usually my habit is I can play like a monster in a friendly most of the time and then in tourny I play like I just started this game.

Yeah I apologize, I wasn't even thinking about that it might come off as arrogant when I did it, as I was doing something I do with them a bunch. I didn't mean any offense.

Look at the bright side though; it put a fire under your *** to play even harder :)

Well, I watched a bit of you in first round pools without you noticing and you weren't playing scared. It was the exact same way you played me in friendlies, so I could tell you were confident for this tournament.

Dark. Pch is the best/second best Peach I've faced online. I'm not surprised you did well. What I am surprised about is tourny nerves affecting someone so greatly. You'd think after a while you'd get used to it.........

You never really get used to tourney nerves. You'll think you're fine, and then out of nowhere they come to bite you.

I know for me it's generally when I come across a MU I'm particularly unfamiliar with, like... Ness or something. Basically oh ****, first time I'm ever going up against this character is in tourney :/

And having mained Ganon for so long, I know just how much MU unfamiliarity can swing a MU.

I suppose so. I did struggle alot to control myself in tournament to play well. I can not begin to explain how hard that was. I was fighting within myself more then my opponents.

And I just remember, we need to finish that set in game three we had. i need to finish 2 stocking you, hahahahaha!

I had this problem for over three years. Just affects me more in brawl then melee cause brawl is just a cheap game for competition and I play a mid tier. **** is hard.

But thanks for the comment. I think I remember who you are. Name looks familiar.

Clearly it affects you more in Brawl 'cause Melee is an easier game. :D :D

It was something I found really funny 'cause on the weekend before Apex, when I thought I was ****ed in my Melee pool and had a chance in my Brawl pool, I was talking with Z and basically said "Melee is so easy, though." One week later, as if to prove what I said, I make it to second round of pools in Melee and get bodied in my first round of pools in Brawl.

The real reasoning for why I said what I did, though, was 'cause I never found comboing in Melee to be that incredibly hard, while in Brawl the combos don't really happen so much so I have to keep thinking about what to do in a situation where I can't just hit my opponent again for free.

it's really difficult for me to jump from Brawl to Melee. It takes me such a long time to readapt to it. Playing the same character doesn't help much either lol. Dark seemed to manage better than me though.

I cant play both games. I naturally drift towards rushdown playstyles, which doesnt work in Brawl. Or not well.

I can do campy defensive play, but it's too taxing on my mind and my emotions. I can't help but to feel bad when I play super defensive/turtle and win as a result. >_<

Well with peach and sheik, it is not hard to combo in melee. But that game if you wanna be good at it takes good tech skills and quik reaction time. Even characters like Bowser and mewtwo need good tech skills to beast.

I play both games alot. I hardly eneter melee tournies. I could if i want no problem. But reason I keep playing melee is cause that game is fun as hell. Also I use it to make me better in brawl. When I go from melee to brawl, I play better in brawl cause my reaction time is better and brawl is a slower game. And it helps me think ahead of time. like when I do something, I know what I will do three moves later. Then jumping from brawl to melee I can't really explain how that feels or how I do it............I just push buttons.

This is my first time posting in 3 months! Oof.

Hi everyone :)
I have missed you. Where have you been the whole time? I hope your friend's hand has improved in all this time. I hope everything else has been going well the last few months for you too.

@Melee & Brawl: If you keep playing both long enough and keep switching back and forth, it becomes much easier to switch back and forth between the two. But those first couple matches are horrible after switching and even that mindset of what and what does not work.

@Kyon & Hiroi: I do not understand at all. But I get the sense of crazy fun.

You already tried trolling the yoshi boards.

I did see Oats beat Nicole 2-1 in a friendly set, but then I 2-0'd him right after (as Peach of course).
