He'll probably just make a new channel and upload stuff there like Pktazn did. Nothing much can be done.

What the f--- did it even get shut down for? And don't go all "copyright" crap because since when is posting video game footage infringing on copyrights? Unless you mean to say that Nicovideo filed the complaints as I hear the only way you're supposed to be able to see the footage is by paying for it. If not, then this is as dumb as CanadaCup, LevelUpLive, and that other stream site (I want to say MAYBE IPlayWinner) getting strikes on people's accounts and getting them shut down for posting stuff from a FREE WEB STREAM THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY TO WATCH is. Of course, all that being said, it probably IS Nicovideo that filed the complaints... :urg:

Jourdal and them should just start using Dailymotion, lol.

Imagine someone high up in ArcSys was not happy about those 200 yen song previews on his account.

Or maybe some combo video's music.

Still sucks though. :/

It's usually the music that infringes on copyright actually.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the music used in a bunch of combo videos. Hm...well in that case he could just make a separate channel somewhere for combos videos or replace the audio, I dunno. And I didn't even remember him being the one who put those song things up. That being said, making people pay for a PREVIEW and not the full song is total BS.

I want to hear your opinions on BB vs GG. I am pretty sure I am getting one of them in a few weeks. For ps3 of course.

They're just different games, honestly. Comparing them is weird, since BB is considered the spiritual successor to GG, they're made by the same devs, and they have a lot of similar mechanics.

I think GG is a better game, but I have more fun playing BB.

'Tis your call bro. All I know is if you get BB you get to play with us... and the GG vets will have 5+ years on you in a fighter with a reputation for being technical if you try to swim in that pond :p

I enjoy BB and all, but GG has Chipp Zanuff.

No other game has Chipp Zanuff.

Izayoi's teleports do look promising though.

Personally, I prefer GG. Both games share similar mechanics. If you liked TvC's speed and you like games that emphasize combos, you'll probably like BB more. GG is more free form, and stresses the knockdown and neutral game more. GG is known for being technical, but personally, it's not too hard to learn if you're competent at fighters. You don't need to get godlike just to have fun either.

If you're looking at online, go for BB. GG's is bad unless you play with people that have really solid connections while BB is doable for the most part (the netcode might improve in the +R patch). Also if you still reside in Europe, I'm not sure if GG is available on the EU PSN yet. So you might have to wait a bit.
I gotsa disagree. I actually prefer BB a little bit more for my own reasons. I like GG, don't get me wrong, I just prefer BB.
Care to elaborate? I don't mind people liking BB more than GG. I'm just curious on your reasons.
I know a lot of people say they like BB more just because that's when they got into the competitive side in fighters, so they never really played GG for a decent amount of time.

That is part of it, and I guess I kinda owe Smooth Criminal a bit of an explanation anyway. In honesty, I played Blazblue before I even really touched Guilty Gear, so it was kind of like playing Mark of the Wolves if you got into stuff with KOF 2002 as an example, or Children of the Atom after Marvel 2 (I guess). You still appreciate the other one for being a good game, but you tend to look at the later one as a sort of evolution that stemmed from it and tend to view it as adding things to try and improve on the previous game even if they're not directly related. And Calamity Trigger broke me back into 2D fighters from Brawl, so regardless of how good GG is, Blazblue's always going to have that sort of preference to it and be looked at with fond memories. Well, there's also the fact that when playing BB I don't feel ridiculously behind everybody else and the tech like I do with GG. It's sorta like picking up SFIV Vanilla when it came out and then trying to go and pick up 3rd Strike, I'd imagine.

Okay thank you guys. I guess I'll just keep playing GG with a friend and not bother playing it too seriously. We have fun with it and that's fine though we both suck at it. Last time I played BB I had always hated fighting games and considered them total crap. I even hated TvC back then. I still liked BB a lot and wanted to get it but I didn't have a ps3 back then. So I guess I should get BB, but is this Chrono Phantasma coming out soon so I shouldn't get Continuum Shift? And can you tell me what are the most notable differences between BB and usual Crapcom fighters?

Oh, yeah don't bother getting cs right now. Cp is the next iteration and people won't play cs as much.

You know what's going on and are not blinded by lights and explosions. :awesome:

The first, main, obvious difference is that you won't really be doing Supers (Distortions and Rapids on this case) often. Usually one or two times per round. And the burst system.
It is not very footsie-based like SF4, and depends a lot on how people act when defending, thus pokes, lows, overheads and grabs, and more BB exclusive, Light defending, Defense breaking and usage of the Barrier.
PS. I don't lurk a lot for BB (for that matter, I haven't played a lot either), so I don't know the technical names for these actions, if you do and can provide a better explanation, feel free to do so.

Woo N-O came out of nowhere with rachel after playing mostly bullet for like a month and sky rocketed to 15th dan in a couple days.

Kinda excited to see some videos with him. Hopefully he pops up in an acho soon.

While it wouldn't surprised me if he got there from just solid play for being N-O, I hope he found some new tricks.

So it's a bad time to get BB if CP is coming out kinda soon. When exactly? If it's like half a year then I think it would be worth it to get CS so I can learn it a bit before then.

Not really much you can learn, imo. CP is going to be different enough on its own (which is part of the reason why I'm personally giving the franchise another chance), thanks to some of the more nuanced changes to the engine (hitstop adjustment and combo proration come to mind). Not to mention the changes to the Burst mechanic, the barrier blocking, and the new Overdrive mechanic---it's different enough as it is. The characters themselves are getting a good amount of tweaks and changes as well, so they may not exactly be the same when put through the rigors of this installment.

IIRC, CP should be hitting consoles this spring.

Aah so it's not just another "update" instead it's like a new game? Well then I guess I should consider getting GG for now, I can easily get both. Or maybe I'll just have to keep playing TvC for the moment.
Btw does anyone of you stil play TvC or is there a scene for it anywhere? The game died when Marvel came out...

KEYBOARD / PAD MASTER RACE CHECKING IN.

I wish I learned stick ;-;.
Just gonna jump in on this.

Fairly new to Arcade Style fighters, and I'm a pad user too. It can be quite annoying when certain moves don't come out because of the awkward thumb placement (especially the 236, and 236236 inputs). So much to work on, coming from a Melee/SC background when getting into games like these is like not knowing anything at all. There's a lot of differences.

I suppose I'll invest in a pad sometime in the near future, I just gotta get a new PS3 first (old one broke).

So yeah talking about pads, what's so great about them? They look incredibly clumsy and awkward imo. Why are they considered better than a pad? The ps3 controller is perfectly fine imo and you don't have to move your hands as much.

I assumed pad meant PS3 remote as in "game pad..." Am I mistaken? In which case, yeah, the PS3 remote is what I use, and it can be annoying at times when inputting certain commands. (Once again 236236)

Stick is always considered as the main controller since it's generally better for precision directional inputs. The PS3 pad or X360 stick aren't as precise (don't even talk about the PS3 stick).

For games like BB or P4A, pad is relatively fine. GG apparently has some stick exclusive inputs (otherwise insanely hard to do on pad I heard, but it's character specific).
