I'll actually agree with Livewire and say that 6B to 6C was helpful. If they blocked the overhead, you could gatling into 6C which then leads to 2C which is plus on block iirc.

Thanks. However, I likely should've pointed out 6B's startup is pretty slow and if you do it wrong it's easy to see coming and can get punished a crap ton.

Actually oops, unless the wiki is wrong, turns out 6B > 6C only works on hit. :ohwell:
So 6B > 6C > 2C is impossible in a block string.

I guess it is combo filler. I usually did 6B > 6C > 2C > 3C on combos which might've given more damage and heat, I dunno.

You can do it in a blockstring, you just can't do it if the 6B whiffs. And yes, that's what I was saying. ;-; My initial point was that it is safer to do 6B > 6C > 2C > (5C > 3C), but still that Crusayer is correct in saying that it's filler, and not necessary for the combo, because you can combo 6B > 3C. Not saying you should ever do that, but you can.

Anyway, since the gatlings and the properties of both of those moves have changed now in CP, it's kind of a moot point anyway.

Oh lordy...apparently R-1 of all people betrayed us. What? But...how....and for RAGNA? Ugh.

I think a part of the player in me just died a little. :c :urg:
That's... disappointing. And this is coming from someone who sometimes uses Ragna. But only when he's not amazing like in CS2, then he's kind of fun. Extend is too braindead for me.
Who knows? Maybe Kaqn will pick up Noel instead. :awesome:
And then a bunch of Youtubers will try to mimic his horrible Noel like they do his Ragna.

Looks like that "R-1 Ragna" was actually Yutta. Guess I "jumped the gun" a bit early there. *rimshot*

Edit: That green Noel colour palette is cool. And wtf random of Noel of all people having the PG version of I-No's one win pose, lol.

Finally saw the Izayoi vid that was linked here. She looks really interesting and fun to use.
There's quite a few characters I want to use this time around.

So I just saw some Arakune footage and to answer my previous musings: "Yes, the bugs are faster too".
(though of course the changes to his curse bar mechanics means I won't be doing the same curse combos anyways hurr durr)

PS: Litchi is looking very legit now. Her new moves are exactly what the doctor ordered *shot*

Plat's items reminding me more and more of Faust.

I wonder if the different counter animations have different properties. Hmmm...

The items seem different and more Faust-like yes, I'll give her that. However, Platinum's got nothing on Faust, I say, lol.

And some randomness happened yesterday. Long story short, I accidentally linked one of my RL best friends to an arcade intro shot of BBCP when we were talking about something different entirely, she asked what it was, apparently loves fighters (and mostly anime ones) and now she's somehow hyped for CP and is buying Extend for her 360. This is both awesome and confusing on how I didn't know that after like 8 years. Any tips on easing her in?

I don't think I've seen any Amane get to level three drills, so I don't think it's that crazy. Azrael and Valk have really crazy damage so far too, from what I've seen. And much more consistent as well.

Well, mostly they're really different, haha.

Just seems like Platinum can control more space with her items. Plus, if you're going to go all out with silliness, Plat is the character for that, I guess.

Sooner than I expected.

I like how chaotic Azrael's is, but all are great.

Yeah, the real worry is probably his chip damage anyways.

Yeah, I'd agree with that.

Gonna be hard to choose when to barrier or not. Definitely don't want to end up in danger state against him, that's for sure.

I like Azrael and Bullet's themes, but I'm admittedly not feeling Amane's. And holy hell, how did I miss Amane's chip? That's like...uh...MVC2 Iceman?

From what I gathered reading the comments, they only do that much chip when his drill meter is high. It resets if he uses too many.

Save your barrier, kids.

He still ate a lot of barrier in R3 (about 3:22).
The lesson is that letting Amane gain Drill Meter is dangerous.

It looks like the new order of business for CP Arakune is

Get Curse > Crush Trigger > Laugh at shorter but unblockable bug combos > Be Arakune

If that works the way I think it does, I'm more than happy to substitute 10k curse combos with 6.8k Overdrive combos that I can pull off more consistently upon gaining curse.

Well, here are some Tao combos.

She looks like a monster in this game, but j.236B launching the opponent upwards looks silly. I love her new super though.

Even though I love Relius' changes, I can already tell that I will be mixing up what characters I play big time, there are just too many I want to play. :urg:

ohhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyy

those themes

Bullet's is surprisingly...chill. I dunno why, but I expected something a little more badass outta her. Probably has something to do with the fact that she looks cooler than a cucumber, and is rocking two big honking guns on her arms ("sidearms?" Nyuk, nyuk). It's still really good.

Azrael's theme is awesome. Plain and simple. Snappy drums, tight guitars; it's just oozing "I'm going to kick you five to six times and carry you into the corner where I'm going to obliterate you."

Amane's theme is different, but I love it, too. Daisuke showing that he can do more than simple little metal motifs. I like how layered it is.

tl;dr I like the new themes.

Yeah, the hit FX is way too loud to hear the BGM. They could've lowered it at least for the trailer....

That said, ν looks very interesting.

All these new Ragna combos are freaking awesome. I especially love Blood Scythe in the corner. A little bit of variety for the win. He's shaping up to be really good. I especially love the new 22C.

Then again I've loved everything about Ragna since CS (still repped Jin and Noel in CT like a spamming noob lol).

Admittedly I'm waiting for something really derpy to be found with him just to piss people off again. :troll:
