Considering xenoblade came out like a year ago and the general length of games these days, 100 hours into it on the first couple playthroughs is quite a bit lol.

If you're talking about how much time we've put into a single game over the years, I've logged like 800 on melee \o/. I've also put in over 200 hours on Tales of Eternia for PS1. We've all probably went over 100 on BB too.

Lyth should play as Makoto~

Ok then, haha. I don't like her very much either now.

I even tried playing her a bit the other day, and it felt... idk. I think learning actual combos instead of drive easy mode made me start to dislike Noel.

Extend Noel in theory, should be my favourite version of Noel. However, there are some things about her that I still just don't like. I mean, I still like Noel, I just don't have as much fun playing her as I used to.

It's funny because Petra from AH3 is basically Noel, but not. She's exactly the same type of character, but two different developers took the idea and went in completely different directions with it.

For the tourney, I would've tried learning Makoto if it didn't mean pulling off her drives online.
Other than that, I actually want to go with Tsubaki or Valk.

But I haven't even been playing, so using a newly learned character wouldn't be such a good idea... Especially against Raziek first round. lol

Yeah, I agree with you completely on that. I'm tempting to say for you to just remove her from my sub list, but I'm going to give her another shot tonight before saying that.

Also, look what I made with a laser etcher in Tech class today! :D

Ooh, pretty!

But yeah, I know what you mean. I was messing around in training mode with her a bit, and I just don't feel it like I used to. Sadness. :<

Holy crap Werekill. What it must be like to be artistic.

And I'm not sure on CSX Noel in terms of comparing to CS2. I mean, in CS2 it was easier to get more damage, and the combos seemed easier, but in CSX the combos seem much more different, complex, and fun. Plus well, I feel with CSX Noel that I'm growing at a better rate as a player than I was with CS2 Noel where I felt I would sometimes just revert back to the basics as an easy way out. Now, with CSX Noel, I find myself doing that much less because well, sticking to the combos themselves is almost always much more effective.

I feel like I def. need a stick to play Arakune effectively... hmm

Maybe it's time I finally took the plunge and bought one... Any suggestions? (if I can get a dual modded one that would make my life)

really?i think she still pretty fun to use.and i didnt got any trouble to learn her new combos and stuff.
I never said she was more difficult, and I find her combos pretty easy actually.

I just don't enjoy playing her as much as I used to. Like I said, in theory, Extend Noel is the best Noel. But there are some things about her design that I just straight-up don't like, like her drive not being special-cancellable anymore. I wouldn't care if they nerfed the hell out of her drive, in terms of damage or invuln, but just make the darn thing special-cancellable again. It's not as if Optic Barrel is safe on block anymore. They could keep everything about Extend Noel the same, just change that one thing.

Lythium's avatar is super cute.
You're super cute. :3c

You don't necessarily need a stick, but it's definitely way more difficult. I recommend the Qanba. It comes already dual- or tri-modded, and they're about the same price as a TE and with the same quality parts.

And I agree Jdietz, you should definitely consider getting a stick.

qanba or eight arc for sure.two very good sticks with sanwa parts and really cheap for dual modded.

I use a modded Madcatz Se, and it's great. Sanwa parts are amazing. :3

Lol @ me being artistic. All you do for the laser etcher is send a pic (In this case, Mu's Grimoire) off to the etcher like you would for a printer, and it does the rest itself.

Wait, I could try and draw Tao!

I don't have to worry about the things I'm terrible at, like hands, feet, and faces!

...

Nope, still hate what I draw, I don't even have a clue where I want to go with anything.

But I may keep on trying this, it could be a thing. I just need a lot of scrap paper and some free time, I might be able to improve my drawing skills to slightly above mediocre!

With some totally ontopic fan art, Hell Yeah! :D

Something to keep in mind, if you do get a stick: the thing most people struggle with on stick is re-learning everything. So, try not to get too frustrated, it will take you about a week to get comfortable with it, and then another week or two to get back to your previous pad skills on stick.

Best advice I can give is not to switch back and forth, you'll only hinder your progress that way.

Well, yeah. And depending on whether you ever went to arcades or whatnot, the range of how long it will take you to get as good again really can vary. It can literally be anywhere from like 1-5 (and sometimes 6) weeks.
