Which is why you play Chun and Makoto in SSFIV, right? :bee:

I haven't played Noel in ages. I've been spending all my practice time with Mu, which is good, but I should probably go back and learn some new Noel shenanigans.

Yeah, I should probably at least get re-adjusted with the basics and get some semi-advanced combos down. Though it's funny how much more productive her Drive stuff seems to be in CS2 than CS1 from what I've seen on that jourdal guy's youtube channel.

I've stopped playing Chun in SF4, so there!

More or less.

Hell, I'm hoping this patch/DLC/WHATEVER brings enough changes to the game where I can actually get behind a character. So far I'm having very little success in this regard. seeing as how I've played everybody in the cast a handful of times at least. And, unlike my Midnight Carnival days, I'm really not enjoying playing every single character in the game.

Smooth Criminal
Same here. The NOL girls are the only ones I can enjoy. I have no desire for Ragna or Jin. I don't think I'm ready for dat muscle memory with Boobie Lady. I can't stand defensive play so Arakune, Rachel, Lambda, and Hakumen are a no. Not really feeling it with Hazama and I have no idea how Mu and Valkenhayn are supposed to work. Tao is a maybe because I find her so funny. Karuru is kinda weird and I don't really want to multitask but I admire the skill in using him effectively. No grapplers so no Tager. Platinum might be that character I'm looking for. Give me a character with great mobility, rushdown style along with Schrodinger Fu and I'm a happy camper.

I might give Bang a try again.

Lambda actually loses really hard if she tries to play defensively in CS. Unless you're psychic with swords and can instant block perfectly, she's not going to be remotely decent defensively, and even then you still have to deal with Bang. Having low health and not many primers doesn't make her that good as a defensive character.

Lambda is best played in a style that I like to call "full-screen rushdown". Essentially you have to get a hit confirm by using 214D or swords and pick up a combo based off of that. Lambda is also good at punishing (probably one of the best at it), so she can also play footsies and capitalize on opponents' whiffed moves or unsafe blockstrings by using swords or 236C.

Who?

EDIT: Oh, Carl.

More content, and more enjoyable single player options.
The only thing that sucked about CTPSP was lack of online and visuals, but the visuals at the least were to be expected. They were still very nice.

Oh, and free access to Unlimited Modes, too, as well as Legion mode before it was added to CS.

I'm wondering if Tsubaki is actually considered one of the NOL girls considering she was pretty bad in CS1.

Singles player modes are truly the most important factor in a multiplayer game.

You say this as if Noel and Makoto were top tier then.

I actually enjoyed the PSP Dpad the most of all the controllers I've tried for BlazBlue so far.

It made doing so many inputs incredibly easy.

Stick is dumb. :>

But her standing fierce goes all the way across the screen!

Can I make a case where Mu is essentially an NOL girl? Because she totally is.

Lambda is best played in a style that I like to call "full-screen rushdown".
It's also called zoning. Because that's what zoning is. Rushdown from a full screen away.

Stick is dumb. :>
Oh, you. ;)

Hazama's an NOL guy.

Litchi kinda is an NOL girl now.

Mu totally is one too.

Mu is tons of fun to use. I'm not especially good with her yet though. I haven't taken the time to seriously learn her combos. It's kinda sad that I only know how to play two characters competently and I'm interested in characters that no one ever uses. I feel like I should pick up more mainstream characters to help my practice buddies, but... nah. There is too much fun to be had.

Now I'm interested. That challenge mode and the tutorial mode don't really help when it comes to telling you how characters work.

But my goodness, a oki character.

My 236B cut through a Makoto's BBS online yesterday.
I couldn't have smiled more happily.

It was like...catharsis.

Well, she is Noel, and Noel IS delicious in some weird sort of way.
So why not?

Makoto and Tao are still my favorite characters to grab, though. :p

*finds it amusing that a group of guys are even bothering to discuss whether they see anything wrong with the thought of girls going commando when it should be practically unspoken*

turn around....
Stick is more flexible though, if you ever had dreams of making it to the big leagues (SBO, japanese level play), then get on stick, because they don't do controllers.

Well screw them if they don't do controllers even if it works for them, lol. I've always been pro-pad and too stubborn to change now. That and, doubt even if I spent 6 hours a day at it, I could ever be japanese level good.

Japanese will always go stick, because they actually have arcades. There's no reason for them to ever go pad, and I doubt they ever will. And not saying anything bad against pad players, but sticks give better freedom of movement, and they're way better for negative edging characters.

Here's an interesting read regarding CSII: http://shrine-write.net/2010/12/bbcsii-firstcharacter-analysis/
