If the opponent holds "down", he won't grab the ledge.
Testing right now. If you catch an opponent right after they grab a ledge (or if their head sticks over, while they're hanging) they will be thrown down after the flame choke and not catch the ledge.

Why did you have customs and Xinc didn't?

The difference between Ganon with Dark Fists and Ganon without Dark Fists is insane. I can't believe that's allowed.

Edit: I guess he turned them on for game 2 anyway.

OmegaCon vids are finally getting uploaded, and I've got matches here at 32:43 and 1:01:00. Not all the matches, but all the recorded ones I won except for one earlier match where I don't feel I played all that well.

Good BAir at the beginning versus the Jiggs. That's definitely a good thing to do in the MU: empty BAirs on the off chance she'll overextend, resulting in an <extremely> unfavorable trade. Good punishes in the Ness match, too.

Just something to think about though, is to become more comfortable with PS approaches. The Samus approached a lot which obviated the need for it, but walking approaches and empty jumps are always good to integrate into your game to solidify approaches against characters who can wall you out.

Good job though, Heavy. I see improvement mostly in your aerials. Last time I watched some of your vids, I noticed you kept to the ground a lot more.

----------------------------------

On another note, if anyone's interested, I came across a really good Villager on FG today and I uploaded some matches. (For anyone curious, almost every time I used NAir OoS or to stage spike, I'dve been better served by UAir, but the 3DS makes doing so difficult since I use tap jump.)

I wasn't sure whether to be impressed or irritated lol. Seems like every viable mode of killing Ganon has is techable. :p
No I meant, that aerial wizkick application when I said "tech".

Because the stuff you did was really clever.

For your viewing pleasure, I had a long set with a friend to practice the ROB match up. Shameless self plug, also a plug for his channel. You should like and subscribe because he's a great guy with great content :3

- autocancelled sourspot nair to bair?!!?!
- Lylat isn't as good of a counterpick as I would have thought against ROB

Recently got back into playing Ganondorf again.

I would appreciate some critique from the Ganondorf mains here. :^P

Two things.

More N-airs in neutral. Note that it has more range than Ganon's F-air horizontally and is frame 7.

Be less indecisive about techchasing. You shouldn't try reaction techchasing except in very specific circumstances depending on matchup and hard conditioning.

That should be about 90% of what you can do to quickly and simply improve your game.

Thanks for the input! I'll try the nairs more in neutral, but I need to practice on techchasing since I'm pretty bad at it. xD

Looks good overall. I like your spacing and timing; looked like you were good at getting in between the Marth-y bits and using the right attack to do so. I second what A2 said, but also be careful about using wizkick for punishes. It can close gaps and get a hit you wouldn't have otherwise, but if the opponent is low on percent and you're not set up for a wizkick cancel, your opponent can punish even after you hit them, such as at 0:54. You got some percent but Marth was immediately able to grab, deliver damage, and get you offstage.

Just something to think about. Wizkick can be a good tool for punishing but I'd wait till their damage is higher and/or you're set up to get out of the way in time.

Thank you for your input. I agree that I used the wizkick way too much in this fight. < _> It's a bad habit of mine that I need to break lol.

I don't even play this character much (or at all) and yet... Ganondorf amiibo is the best thing that's ever happened to me since :4lucina:'s, and he ain't even at level 50 yet!

Don't play him much, but good ol' @ Swoops Swoops is a real good player with him in my region and its real scary playing against him, and I took at least half of what I observed from him for most of the training.

I could help you with ROB practice if you want. I watched about half the video and saw he was making a lot of mistakes and hesitated more than he should have.

Been playing on Anther's Ladder recently. Got some good replays in. Don't think I'll be doing much FG anymore now that I've found a place to reliably find reasonably high-quality people.

- vs. Luigi

- vs. Falcon

vs. Robin

Thanks for all the kind words homies. Y'all make me want to keep practicing :)

@ Gold_TSG Gold_TSG Yup, he has some stuff he should work on. ROB is more his back up as he has been focusing on Greninja/ZSS lately. I'm sure he'd love to hear advice on that match up though! Luckily we have a few good ROBs in the scene for practice, so I'm getting a little better at the match up. ....it's very frustrating >.<

I have a pretty good ROB myself, and I know too well from others how infuriating he can be. Most of my friends flat out refuse to fight against it because they can never get close to beating it. I don't even camp with him or anything, I just know how to utilize lasers and gyro sniping/shenanigans.

Sorry about the wave of vids. Hopefully I'm not pushing anyone out. I'd comment on already-posted vids, but all that I could say's been said it seems. If anyone wants me in particular to comment about something, just let me know.

Anyway, more Anther's ranked stuff:

@ Vermanubis Vermanubis I still can't wait til you get a Wii-U so I can challenge you once and for all...that being said, I'm also in disbelief at how much better you have gotten over time.
