Testing right now. If you catch an opponent right after they grab a ledge (or if their head sticks over, while they're hanging) they will be thrown down after the flame choke and not catch the ledge. If the opponent holds "down", he won't grab the ledge.
Why did you have customs and Xinc didn't?My games with Xinc for the tournament.
And a bunch of random videos.
I wasn't sure whether to be impressed or irritated lol. Seems like every viable mode of killing Ganon has is techable.@ Vermanubis Jesus that aerial wizkick tech.
No I meant, that aerial wizkick application when I said "tech".I wasn't sure whether to be impressed or irritated lol. Seems like every viable mode of killing Ganon has is techable.
Ooh, I see! Well, in that case, thanks, dude.No I meant, that aerial wizkick application when I said "tech".
Because the stuff you did was really clever.
Two things.
Recently got back into playing Ganondorf again.
I would appreciate some critique from the Ganondorf mains here. :^P
Thanks for the input! I'll try the nairs more in neutral, but I need to practice on techchasing since I'm pretty bad at it. xDTwo things.
More N-airs in neutral. Note that it has more range than Ganon's F-air horizontally and is frame 7.
Be less indecisive about techchasing. You shouldn't try reaction techchasing except in very specific circumstances depending on matchup and hard conditioning.
That should be about 90% of what you can do to quickly and simply improve your game.
Thank you for your input. I agree that I used the wizkick way too much in this fight. < _> It's a bad habit of mine that I need to break lol.Looks good overall. I like your spacing and timing; looked like you were good at getting in between the Marth-y bits and using the right attack to do so. I second what A2 said, but also be careful about using wizkick for punishes. It can close gaps and get a hit you wouldn't have otherwise, but if the opponent is low on percent and you're not set up for a wizkick cancel, your opponent can punish even after you hit them, such as at 0:54. You got some percent but Marth was immediately able to grab, deliver damage, and get you offstage.
Just something to think about. Wizkick can be a good tool for punishing but I'd wait till their damage is higher and/or you're set up to get out of the way in time.
Indeed, the only reason I noticed it is because I tend to have the same issue, haha.Thank you for your input. I agree that I used the wizkick way too much in this fight. < _> It's a bad habit of mine that I need to break lol.
I could help you with ROB practice if you want. I watched about half the video and saw he was making a lot of mistakes and hesitated more than he should have. For your viewing pleasure, I had a long set with a friend to practice the ROB match up. Shameless self plug, also a plug for his channel. You should like and subscribe because he's a great guy with great content :3
I have a pretty good ROB myself, and I know too well from others how infuriating he can be. Most of my friends flat out refuse to fight against it because they can never get close to beating it. I don't even camp with him or anything, I just know how to utilize lasers and gyro sniping/shenanigans.Thanks for all the kind words homies. Y'all make me want to keep practicing
@ Gold_TSG Yup, he has some stuff he should work on. ROB is more his back up as he has been focusing on Greninja/ZSS lately. I'm sure he'd love to hear advice on that match up though! Luckily we have a few good ROBs in the scene for practice, so I'm getting a little better at the match up. ....it's very frustrating >.<
