That match against Dre was really hype, it's a shame there wasn't a bigger crowd to enjoy it.

Figured I'd add this too. They have one chance to tech after the Dash Attack then the rest is guaranteed, even the U-smash (if they DI you'd need to U-air though, but that's still 70+%.)

Hey, would anyone be available for some wifi matches tomorrow night (Tues 8/18/15)? I need to get more human experience in and would like to line something up. I usually go 3 stock, 8 minutes, customs and items off, but anything's fine.

Hmmm, it would be great to play you, but I think I might have to hit you up on a different day; I work 8a-5p EST and to be available at 6p-7p IDT it would be 11a-12p here. Are you free this Sunday at that same time?

So I've never done Ganondorf vs Luigi before and I was in for quite a ride. Add that to the fact that my missed inputs were turning tilts/dashes into smashes, and I had a tough time at the beginning of this match. But I learned quite a bit in this match, most importantly that dash attacks beat out fireballs, and to never challenge Luigi in the air.

Also in this video I almost pull off a super sweet combo around 1:43

just didn't wait on the counter's active frames to end.

One of my biggest problems playing Ganondorf is that I often try to play him and other characters all in the same style. I'm very aerial based, but I don't know if that works for Ganondorf all too well. Can aerial fighting be a viable strategy for Ganondorf, and if so, how should I go about it? And if not, what are some good ground based alternatives?

I'm really just looking for any critique in general, I'd appreciate anything you guys could say.

Aerial fighting is generally pretty good for Ganon, as in contrast to other heavyweights his aerials are quite strong and he doesn't have any major blindspots aerially. Generally spaced Bair is his safest on shield, though Nair and Fair can also be sort of safe due to shield pushback. Keep in mind that none of these are completely safe or spammable, so be sure to mix things up. Aerial Flame Choke and tomahawk grabs can punish opponents who shield a lot. Uair is great at fending off opponent aerials, as is Nair. Keep in mind that Ganondorf also has good grounded options like Dtilt and Dash Attack, so be sure to use them as needed. The key to playing Ganondorf is to pay attention to your opponent's habits and adapt accordingly, so be aware of and master your aerial options, but you can't just spam SH aerials and expect to be safe. Be sure to mix up what you do to keep your opponents honest.

@ Ray_Kalm Ray_Kalm @ HeavyLobster HeavyLobster @A2ZOMG @ adom4 adom4 or anyone really

I've got a replay that shows a perfect example of Tip N Slide being implemented, but I kinda flubbed the rest of the match after that and wound up losing ages later. As a result the replay is too long for me to upload it to youtube (3:00 limit whyyyyyyyy). Would anyone be able to record the replay if I sent them it?

Anyone up for some games later?

This match is kind of slow for a while because Duck Hunt as well as the fact that I don't have much MU experience, but it does end with a pretty sweet combo. Does anyone have any tips for the Duck Hunt MU? I almost never see them either at locals or online.

Managed to get some footage of TNS being implemented on a Human Player.

Special thanks to @ mgleed mgleed for the footage. The replay was too long because I choked after this point, so once the full video is uploaded I'd like some match critique as well.

One way to counter that is just to whack it back towards them. Early in the match you did a dash attack on the can and it sent it back towards DH. I think using your opponent's eagerness against them is something that can work in certain scenarios when fighting DH. Once you've established that he can't use the can to zone you out as hard as he'd like, it's a matter of playing the game right.

Thanks Kyogokudo!

Anyway, with it uploaded, I'd really like some match critique. I beat him pretty convincingly most other games and I was doing fairly well in this one, but I just couldn't seem to kill him. Any advice?

Well, I'm actually not a dorf player, so my advice is limited to more basic stuff. Your approaches were really predictable. Like, you mixed it up so you didn't getup/attack the same way a lot, but it looked like you were not actually thinking about your moves, just throwing them out and hoping your opponent didn't expect it. When they didn't hit you got punished. This was especially true when you kept using flame choke and eating upsmashes.

Also, you are on battlefield. aside from the one combo you didn't really use the platforms too well, you were just caught on top of them with pikachu under you, the exact opposite of what you want. Using Dtilt after choke instead of trying to chain it would have been good for setting up a juggle with your upair pressure and upsmash. (though repeat is prob better on FD or something)

Pretty good play otherwise.

Here I land a pseudo-TNS combo. I flubbed a bit and tried to land an U-air jab lock (which wouldn't have even worked lol), but it still worked out in the end with an F-smash. I seriously encourage everyone to master Tipmanning people off of platforms, it makes being on a platform almost as bad as being offstage against Ganondorf.
Same player, the highlight will be... obvious to say the least.

Every time ZSS whiffs a grab, only one smily enters my mind::ganondorf:

That is true. Wish we could see inputs as I don't think my opponent ever presses down when I choke.

My thoughts were that she tried to tech and the air dodge made her miss the ledge, or she was still in the state where you can't re-grab a ledge.

Lol I'm the Red Ganny at 4:05 and 4:20. At least my stocks ended with intentional suicide; I'd like to think I retained some sort of dignity. Also, Morir es Vivir, AmIright?

I would have if the only games I won weren't ones wherein I capitalized on your SDs or general penchant for styling! No, if I upload anything, it might be instructional videos for certain tech and fundamentals. I have pretty good facility over that stuff but application is another matter entirely. Working on it, though.

Well whatever you like doing, like I'm not saying my videos are the best but I like making them. Kinda like how Ganon isn't the best but I like him too lol, I can't have as much fun with top tiers and have given up on that honestly.

If you make any videos I look forward to watching them.
