Hmm, yeah that was a tech alright. But, a few things we must consider.

Early on in the metagame, not many will know about this -- not until metagame develops. That aside, if you take a look at D3 after the tech in the video, Ganon was able to move before the tech - roughly in time for another flame choke. And even if it's possible to roll away from Ganon, I think Ganon will always be a few frames ahead of the tech - meaning we're possibly able to predict and punish (but we will need to make sure of this).

So a tech may end up possibly being worse for the opponent or it can possibly end up better for those with faster getups and rolls.

Yeah, you're definitely at a frame advantage, rather, I believe you should theoretically be at the same frame advantage for tech in place meaning you can just tilt people who try to tech in place. The problem though is punishing techrolls away from Ganon, which your options to do so for would be much more limited. That is a significant nerf to Ganon's techchase game.

Worse, Aerial Flame Choke might be UNSAFE ON HIT.

Possibly a wizkick, but the real problem I see here is; we can no longer simply choke and then follow up, we'll have to figure out what the opponent will do or what the opponent can do after a choke.

And that's where it gets tough. Imagine you're in a game, you struggle your way through countless projectiles to finally land that choke, now, how will you anticipate what the opponent will do? You cannot simply guarantee yourself a follow up because there's a chance that, if you do, the opponent will simply tech away and you'll miss an opportunity to punish.

Summary of AT: From what it looks like, you can platform drop to aerial wizkick the lower level below you. But that's not the weird part. The weird part is you are able to do this in such a way that you Quake the platform, and then it INSTANTLY CANCELS leaving you airborne, which you can use to attack people below you with aerials almost instantly and other tricks.

Situational, but it certainly does make Ganondorf a lot scarier near platforms because not only can you reach people below you pretty efficiently, you have threatening mixups on people that are next to you on platforms. Now we need a new frightening name for this. I'm thinking something on the lines of the Hell Drop (as opposed to Platform Drop).

Going over landed projectiles in Brawl (Diddy's bananas or Snake's grenades) was possible, but going over moving projectiles is something new. We'll have to wait and see what uses this could bring us.

Not to mention that Ganondorf is more directly attached to the concept of demons, being the "Demon King", whereas not necessarily the concept of hell. Alternatively, you could replace "drop" with "decent" if you feel it deserves just that extra bit of glorification, heh~
