WHO are you calling WHAT now!!?

seriously though, leave my brits alone. they are a proud, argumentitive people who cannot take a joke and will reply every time with anger. this being said, i believe the post i am about to quote pwnt you nicely. i dunno why i am defending britain though, i hate our community, some of the people apitinate everything that is wrong with smashboards (the mindless regurgitation of things other people said 2 years ago)

Fuzzyness said:
we don't want to hear you're boasting and supporting of your country in our tournament thread just because tuna came 4th and beat some of our players lol

"seriously I taught that scrub everything he knows."

fail.. he apparently learnt more from 1 day playing me lol, enough to beat amcd XD
wait tuna u bear amcd? ive never played him but he is supposed to be good.

why am i posting in this thread.. i dunno. mainly cos i just like chatting **** with people, partly because i have alot of work i need to do atm and im putting it off. eitherway

I've always wanted to visit London. Shame none of my study abroad programs had something there.

Fuzzyness has an awesome Falcon.

The UK just seems like kind of a small closed community. The top players there seem very comfortable with their status as top UK players, even tho they'd clearly struggle against the actual top European, US, and Canadian players. Even tho otg may not have articulated it very eloquently (lol), I agree that it is kind of alarming that a new york player that literally had never been to a tournament before got 4th at a national UK tournament. They seem to be brushing Yaneev off after the fact since he didn't actually beat them (phew!), despite the fact that he was obviously competitive with the top players and that shouldn't have been the case.

I'm down for tomorrow if anything happens, Max.

Yaneev, I hope you're happy. You've restarted the American revolution. I always knew that someday your wacky antics would cause war between two countries.

Mel Gibson is TFS btw, so we win.

Also, lol @ "leave my brits alone". Get *****, OTG...I mean good match (shakes hand).

well then, silly arrogant doc should think first before bringing attention to his signature, which lead the brits to his thread!!

btw thanks for the trick or two, arrogant doc, i learned a couple things from Mario dittos with Tuna, and if you are to be believed, you taught him eeeeeverything he knows, right?
I knew there was something off about his mario, i now realise he was playing him exactly like doc

Does anybody else really matter though? Who, outside of the top 4/6 players holds any relevance to anything, atall.

The fact isnt that Tuna (i dont think) wouldent be able to touch Edwin, let alone Fuzzyness and VA. I know that i am good, i **** all the mid players, but what frikken good is that if i am guaranteed to loose when i come across edwin in bracket?

what if i came up against VA straight after loosing to fuzzyness, would that display my position in the community correctly?

a) No, obviously it wouldent
b) Who cares? your a mid level player... step it up and make it into the top 5, then you matter

While i do find it... annoying that we have such a lack of players that Yaneev got a top seed straight off the bat, i dont think his placement necessarily reflects his ability when compared to england. There were certain factors involved, not least being a top seed so he didnt have to play ANY good players until the very end, there were more factors but i cba its long to list them down.

tl;dr - tuna is good, really good, but he doesnt make it into our top 6, IMO. and who else matters? If we went abroad, those 6 would represent us. THEY, are britain, nobody else.
m2k, mango etc - THEY are america, who the heck cares about the rest of u scrubs?

do you measure a country's skill from their worst players, or their best? cmon now, really? =/

You dont gotta play good people to get good.
You either have it from birth, or you dont.
Fuzzyness's abroad tournaments shows this, when cited with the average skill level in england.
So does mangos judgement of Prof having the best fox in europe.

Wow. Britain gettin' philosophical on us here.

Talk is cheap though, guys. I think we should stop arguing about this for now. If Tuna gets the opportunity to play any of these legendary "top 6" then we can appropriately tell each other to "get *****", but until then there's really no point in continuing this.

You can really forget about m2k and mango, seriously. The whole point is that some of us no-name scrubs might beat your top players lol.

Riiiiiight. From birth, yea. Doesn't work like that here, oddly. Hopefully some of the UK players come to Apex so I can explain further.

Saying that means that you didn't see my sets with VA or Prof. I didn't play Edwin in tournament (I was going to, but then Prof replaced him :( ), but I don't think he would call himself untouchable against me (his marth is so ****ed up and good though :D Really fun to play against. Just watch out for that sliding bair edwin.........)

Fuzzy, Prof and VA are better than me yeah, but I gave Prof and VA (I actually didn't play fuzzy's falcon much :( ) a run for their money.

PS: Fuzzy's falcon is so weird and good x__x

you guys can visit Yaneev, I'm going to go to London, wear a Porcupine Tree shirt, hang out with Radiohead, watch a Man U game, visit the homes of Milton, Blake and Donne, and show off my British Literature degree all day.

On my 5th 4 Loko and still ****** you.
Thank you guys for squashing out the british while I was gone. J3ly, are you ****ing serious? It's quite obvious that your country sucks balls, I love tuna to death, but we are pretty much mid level players out here (minus niko who is about to break out HARD) in comparison to our stacked as region. We live 5 mintes from PC/Jman/Vanz/etc etc who would just run the train on your players over and over again. So the fact that Yaneev goes out there and places 4th at a national.... doesn't really say to much about your region.

And for the record (I clarified on this in the UK thread, but clearly you ignored it), when I say I taught Yaneev "everything" I say that in reference to his Doc. He doesn't play the Mario's at all and his only experience fighting them/using them is against me. The fact that his mediocre doc was ****** you guys is hilarious.

I'm done arguing with you tho, you're probably just going to come back with some ignorant scrub rebuttal that has little weight. The only reason I trolled the UK boards in the first place was because your players were ****ting on Yaneev so hard, and sure enough he placed well. The dude deserves respect.

And yes, a Britian vs. TFS battle would be ****, we would house the **** out of you guys.
