Terror Attacks in India

Breaking News: 78 confirmed dead so far, 200+ wounded in grenade and gunfire attacks in Mumbai (Bombay). Gunmen have attacked several hotels and taken hostages in at least two hotels. Reports say that the terrorists have allegedly rounded up specifically people holding British and American passports. The army's been called in to help the police.

Saw it on the news. Taj hotel and I think oberoi hotel were the ones attacked . It was terrible. There were live news of the shotting (one person was shot in the arm and was trying to get to safety) and many people were ducking to avoid bullets.

I feel sad for the families of those 78 who died...

Was watching it on an indian new show that reports in english called "Headlines Today".

Death amount has raised to 101..

It's been confirmed that the terrorists are from Pakistan (I forget the exact location). They sent some mail to major Indian news channels saying that they want some sort of "justice". I'm not exactly sure what they want but they said if they don't give them "justice", bombings will continue.

New's channels are calling it "India's 9/11"

Unfortunetly goldie, you nor anyone will never accomplish this which is saddening when you think about it, Mumbai is raging havoc right about now and it's best if the U.S stays out of it, if they know what good for them.

This is very misfortunate, I have a lot of friends with Indian family and im hearing they have to call hectically to check on family.

I human life is a human life regardless of race, gender, class, ethnicity, orientation or anything else for that matter. I know you meant nothing by it but it really shouldn't matter what race they were after it doesn't make it any more or less terrible.

It's over. All the terrorists have been killed. I'm not sure if there done there search (I watched it last night). The final death amount given by the news was over 120 and far more injured.

The last terrorist was crazy. I was watching the battle live (Many media people were there recording). The terrorist were confirmed to have AK-47s. There were many grenade explosions and gun fires. The grenades caused a pretty big fire which further burnt the building. The fire was put out after the last terrorist was killed.

However, I find it funny how the media shows this particular event when others have happened.

This was the most unexpected and one of the biggest. It was especially the manner in which it was done; it was not an IED or a bomb. It was people with guns and grenades shooting whoever they saw and taking hotels hostage.

I feel sorry for the rabbi and his wife who were killed. Their son had to hide under his mom's body for two hours and was covered with her blood.

The two Americans who were killed were a guy and his 13 year old daughter going there for meditation or something.

Hope everybody who was injured is ok.

Apparently when they captured one of the terrorists he said he was afraid to die and now that he's in prison he says he wants to be a martyr. Way to be contradicting >_>;

It probably has something to do with Kashmir.
