You make a good point. That stage can come after Big Blue, before Mute City. Of course, if I ever get around to sticking Gerudo Valley music into my iso, whatever stage gets that will become the new best stage.

we went BF, Final, BF, Final, BF. i'm not sure if DSR would make sense or contradict the ruleset.

also, is Pokemon stadium on or off for tournies????

DSR is on in best of 5s though stage bans are not. Pokemon stadium is legal but is not included in the strike

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the DK64 stage. I have never heard a convincing argument for removing it. Brinstar should certainly be unbanned. I don't like the stage personally, but it's playable for all characters, and is certainly more neutral than pokemon stadium.

Another thing. Peach and puff may play slightly above average on dreamland, but it doesn't give them the same amount of leverage against spacies that pokemon stadium can give fox, for example. There needs to be an equivalent counterpick for both classes of characters.

I think you may need more stage knowledge before making that argument. I think you should take FD for spacies to get that same amount of leverage, I mean you do have big CGs on them and there's nothing they can do about it.

DK 64 has matchups where there are possible time-outs.
Brinstar disrupts gameplay because of damaging hazards.

Edit: Can you imagine Roy on KJ 64.. man he must sooo bad giving pretty much most matchups 100-0 lol and I think Marth is horrible on KJ too but at least he can do something.
