If I read correctly... this is the thread where I can just talk about life...?

Well... okay... My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex 2 days ago... I did not "go" inside of her... But I've always been afraid of the "pre"...

I'm afraid she's pregnant now...
It's only been two days...

I don't know any ways if I can find out if she's pregnant... so I looked up some things on Google...

But i'd much rather ask here...

Last night she stayed up til 1in the morning and today at work, she felt all wobbly knee'd and she decided to go to bed early...

I don't want to be a father now...

Her last period ended on... Mar. 26th I believe...

Someone please help me... could her sleepiness prove that she's pregnant?

tell her to get tested asap. that is the only way to know for sure. and next time wear a condom, or dont have sex at all.

Read the package insert.

If I remember my biology correctly, it takes a while (weeks?) for the pregnancy hormone to show up in a test. The menstrual cycle is 28 days, I believe. So, approximately 28 days from Mar. 26th, she's supposed to get her next period, but some young women don't have regular cycles yet, so it probably won't be exactly 28 days down to the hour.

Also, the highest chance of pregnancy is when a girl is two weeks into the cycle. So, two weeks from Mar. 26th would be this week, correct? Two days prior to today is cutting it a bit close.

So, yes, there's a chance. But neither of you will know until she gets tested, and it'll have to be a couple weeks (?) after the sex in order for the test to be accurate. Get a test kit at a drug store and read the instructions carefully. It should tell you when and how to take the test.

And no, sleepiness is not a guaranteed symptom either way.

Bottom line: use protection.

No offense, but this is the internet, look all of this up.

Sleepiness is not a symptom of pregnancy, a missed period is. Only time will tell whether or not your girlfriend is pregnant, make sure your girlfriend tells you the moment she has her period, if it is on her cycle, then you are fine, if it is more than a week off, you may have a problem, but that doesn;'t mean she is preggo (fyi, i'm a girl i know about this) if you plan on having more sex you should wear a condom or get your girlfriend on birth control ASAP. Making your girlfriend take a pregnancy test would be useless, because it would most likely turn out negative, and it might be a false reading, you should wait at least 3 weeks for her to take the test.

You should calm down, and just wait, you could be worrying yourself over nothing.

Actually El Nino, I though that by about 10 days after, the pregnancy test should be almost 100% accurate.

And she might just be tired btw. If it turns out she isn't pregnant then keep your trousers on next time.

Xianglian--> i bet your sig was Ramenman when the pregant subject came up.lol

this reminds me of that tournament that's named "Smashin' Without a Condom"lulz.
listen, im a girl too, and we've all had our share of 'accidents' whether from stupidity or shear, well, accident. right now, there's not a single thing you can do. like everyone else said you must wait at least 3 wks. idk how old you are, but the title is 'teen...' but, there are alternatives. "but i dont want my parents to know"-well, you should of thought of that before you went bareback. sorrie.
i do hope she's not pregnant.
warning:this pic may be controversial, going for the joke part of it though(it's just a joke, having a kid shouldn't stop you from pursuing things that you really want, it's called 'multitasking')

seriously, im not encouraging this at all!! but it fits so well.
*shrug*

aww man!!! i just realized this is your first post!! why dont you stroll the boards and get your mind off things?
Welcome!

I looked it up.

11 days for a blood test. 12-14 days for a urine test. The take-home over-the-counter tests are all urine tests, and they claim to be 99% accurate on the first day of a missed period (which is usually going to be 12-14 days after conception anyway).

But if she wants she can also go get blood drawn at a clinic, they can do the testing for her, and she'll know the results a few days earlier.

@OP: Try to relax. It's way too early to tell. Stressing out won't help things. If anything happens (whether it's now or later), there are options for the both of you.

i agree, there are so many options, most common are the three A's-
Acceptance
Abortion
Adoption

there's always the fourth A-
A**hole
but that's reserved for whoever's idea it was to go unprotected.
at least she didnt make a 'pregnancy pact' like the media said those teen girls up in Mass(i think there). --i think they just all got preg bc of this same situation.
if i had seen this four days ago, i wouldve def been more caring, but my scare is over!!!

nasty but serious--did you 'remove' yourself WHILE you were 'happy' or remove yourself THEN become 'happy?' sorrie--but this is something you should consider bc it is REALLY important; not sure if you thought of that but i hope it was the latter of the two.

My ex, the girl I'm in love with and hope/want to work things out with wanted me to watch that movie with her. So I did. That things insane. I wouldn't be able to stay with a girl if she pulled that kind of **** on me.

I was "Happy" then I pulled out and she helped "finish me off" with her hands...

I don't plan on having sex for a long time now...

I guess I'll just have to wait for about another 2 weeks...

It's possible.. If it makes you feel any better, I've had "similar" scares, where nothing happened. But I wasn't inside her. We just thought it came into contact afterwards. So... Hopefully everything turns out well.

Well just use a condom next time, its never worth the risk without it. You should've just kissed and then moaned about how unfair it is that you don't have any on you at the time and then promise to make up for it later. Or gone "Wait right here I'm off to the shops!"

That's what the rest of us do in that situation.

Recently on the radio, I heard that a good amount of people prefer to wait and NOT take a pregnancy test. Hoping for the period to occur is the preferred method. o_0

Oh my god, why has no one suggested birth control till Lythium above?

You can still see the doctor urgently and not wait for a pregnancy to happen. If you guys had sex two days ago, you can take the pill within 72 hours or otherwise you can still get an IUD inserted within 5 days of intercourse.

Don't waste time. And don't wait around if you don't want a pregnancy.

You don't even have to go to a doctor to get Plan B. They carry it at most pharmacies, you just have to ask for it. Or Planned Parenthood or whatever.

Available without prescription to anyone 17 years of age or older. Those under 17 need to get a prescription. At least in the U.S.

I don't know where the OP lives, but certain states in the U.S. have in the past tried to restrict access to contraceptives to minors. So, it's hard to say what is available to him or where he can go to get it. If there's a local health center for teens, he can try there. Or try calling a teen crisis number if there are any available. They would know more about what options he has in his area than we would.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me happy that I'm gay.
Until you get AIDS.

Sorry. That joke was bad and I should feel bad.

condoms are overrated. just pull out quicker, dog. and make sure she takes birth control. i'm pretty sure a home-pregnancy test or a trip to the doctor will tell.
OMG!! are you serious?! you must be a man bc only a man would say something this f***ing, ridiculously, idioticly, absurd bull****!!! why do you feel this way? let me guess, 'bc it feels better.' rt? whatever, dont encourage **** like this.

how do you really know if the girl is taking her pills? and even if you did 'check' on them to make sure theyre being used, is she taking them properly? ever think about that? yeah, there's a rt way and a wrong way to take BC pills. you cant miss any days, you must take them at relatively the same time everyday, you CANNOT mix with antibiotics--they become less effective.

so, if your girl's been on antibiotics, anywhere up to a week and a half after the last anti dose, the pills are ineffective!!!!

check birth control out on the web, get some info before you start spewing this bull****, holmes!

also, in ramen's OP, he said it was two days ago from date he posted; more than likely too late for Plan B. good suggestion though, if it ever does happen again, use it. BUT, it is not always effective, if the preg still exists it can cause birth defects, also in thier add, extended use is linked to cervical cancer among others--this means that if you go raw everytime and take B again and again, it can cause health probs. Plan B does NOT terminate existing pregnancies--so dont even bother trying it for this.
crossing my fingers for you!! <3

what is it with some people and their desperate need to announce their sexual orientation? it has nothing to do with this thread, why would you even bring it up? unless youd like to share your thoughts on the relative dangers of unprotected hetero vs unprotected homosexual activity...

Condoms also protect against things that contraception cannot.

I've never heard that chronic use of the morning after pill (strange idea for a study...) causes cervical cancer though.

edit: yay, let's not have pointless flamewars about homosexuality.

>_> It's called abstinence.
There's a sure-fire way of protecting yourself. Jeez.
In all respect though, I'm not exactly sure whether or not you should or shouldn't be worried about this. I mean, if you do end up having a baby, sucks for you. I really don't have any remorse because unprotected sex is what it is. A risk of getting your girlfriend pregnant is worth it? That's like a smoker being paranoid that he's coughing too much.

meh. i'm talking about people that already have sex on a regular basis. not those still holding on to their virginity or those that only have sex for reproduction.

Then that's the risk you run. If you have unprotected sex on a regular basis, you have an increased chance of fathering/being the mother of a child.
It only takes once.

i mean, for the most part, i'm sure people know the risk of having unprotected sex. it's kinda smashed into our heads from a young age.

@Johnwalt: not everyone thinks like that. some people wait for religious reasons, some wait for moral, etc. i think it's different for each case.

I can always adopt if I want a kid.
You can only adopt as an individual, not as a gay couple, and you have to pay money, especially if its a foreign child. The adoption process is a huge pain.
Just to let you know in case you're serious (which you probably aren't).

I understand that mentality because there is definitely some sort of trust that develops over time, but once faced with a possible pregnancy, I don't think it's appropriate to whine or be surprised if and/or when your girlfriend is pregnant. Basically, by accepting that lifestyle, you should also accept the consequences. =/
