You're really going to have to call me once you get on campus, or look at a map of the campus(i'll post that). I'll also get up where good places to park are in a bit. The address will get you to the building but not a parking lot.

I'd say a 32 man bracket is confirmed, not sure how many past that though, there are a bunch of maybe i didn't put on that list (hat, wife, btree, rei, EE, etc.)

no, sorry, this is a melee tourney D: I don't like to run multiple game tournaments, and there are already lots of brawl tourneys in this region, so I'm doing melee.

i though thats how it was. but to be more specific, is there going to be ANY brawl there at all? even one single setup? with all these melee/brawl pros/players going i would imagine that there would be at least one brawl setup.

aw **** move on hat's part, i mentioned this to him a while ago. Now people who play both are going to have to choose one.
Also, CREWS, if you want to play brawl, why are you considering coming to this? I mean, unless you're planning on entering the tourney for melee, but also want to play some brawl. If that's the case you are welcome to bring a brawl setup if you can find anyone who wants to play you. I'm not like thumbs in that people playing brawl offends me. However, we will be using every TV possible to play melee during the tourney itself, to get things to run as fast as possible. If we have more TVs than copies of melee, you can set up brawl, or after the tourneys done and we don't need every TV you could set something up. Also technically if you bring your own setup, including a TV, i'm not going to force you to put melee on it during the tourney, but it would help if while the tourney's actually going on we can use it.
I personally wouldn't mind some brawl+, I think it's interesting, but I'm going to be playing melee until things really wind down.
However if you REALLY want to play brawl, seems like HAT's tourney is the better option, as it's on the same day as this, and I would think closer to you (he's north of here, and you're PA).

lol Chred, it's a bit much to say it offends me seeing people play Brawl. There's a Brawl tourny EVERY week in MD/VA and rarely a Melee one. I'd like the first big Melee event in a long while here not to be plagued with Brawl's presence.

this is the first legit melee event to occur in MD/VA since brawl came out (like 18 months) so i hope all the old heads can come.

I wish I could come to this! But I gotta work Saturday since all the white people are taking off (it's true).

I spoke with the Resident Director over the phone today. I managed to alleviate her skepticism about the tournament. We shouldn't have any problems.
