Well since most of Link's projectiles are ineffective on Ganon (save bombs) that's a problem ish...

But Link still has his bombs...and IRL bombs are deadly to humans...

Is Link faster than Ganon?

@MRG- If we're using video game physiques then Mario is definitely at a loss....it doesn't even show any muscle build for Mario

Captain Falcon is simply better in melee due to being a TRAINED FIGHTER as well as being Bigger, Faster and Stronger (too hes the first member of the.....)

At range, he has a more practical weapon to take down mario (pistol) wheres MArio's weapon is het based, and Falcon's racing suit, liek in nascar, is built to resist heat.

In short, Mario is just outclassed by falcon all together.

Now, I'd imagine Link to be a bit more nimble, seeing as he doesnt have ALL his gear bogging him down.

In fact, gonna necro some olllllld stuffs here:

Ok then I think that Link might be able to outmaneuver Ganon and his shield can help ALOT in buffering attacks. He might be a bit off balance after a hit but he might be able to still go after Ganon.

You said falcon was a body builder but I don't see how...I mean
in his canon-Captain Falcon is a bounty hunter...he's trained himself to a high physical condition

speed,power, and practical range weapon in case of needing it...

Mario in canon is a well plumber who saves a princess...
given Mario does have his physical feats, but compare his physical stature to that of Falcon.

did you read the whole article?
plate armor weighs less than modern armor, and is virtually sword-proof.
his attacks aren't slow because he is able to move his joints.
I'm talking about TP ganondorf, he doesn't have that massive broadsword, a slimmer, powerful blade.
Ganondorf is STRONGER than Link, is a master at sword fighting. and will block shots to the head.
plate armor doesn't mean "I put this on and I can't move now"

Chainmail Armor
Chainmail armor provided protection against being cut by the opponents blade. It was effective against the sharp points and blades of the spear, axe and sword. It helped to prevent the skin being pierced stopping the fatal infections which often followed such injuries.

It REALLY helps if we're talking WW Ganon but if we're talking OOT or TP Ganon with that huge sword then it will help somewhat. I remember how in deadliest warrior the katana in Samurai vs Viking you would see the katana only sever a few rings. It's effective vs WW's swords as they don't have as much weight behind it but we still have Ganon's plate armor. It's durable and strong, and Link has to aim pretty high to hit Ganon's head.

What? About the three ganon fight?

TP ganon only has his chest protected. He is not fully armored.

OoT ganon has the huge darksword and the smaller physique.

And Link has a shield and defense against cutting swords, which would make the WW fight easier.

And disregard what I said about Ganon being slowed down. He won't be that slow if only his feet and chest are protected.

I think a fundamental flaw in this discussion is the assumption that mundane materials will stand up at all in this fight. Both characters are so ridiculously strong that chainmail and plate armour are a moot point.

Ganon's strong enough to snap chains, smash through floors, and disintegrate stone with his sword swings, armour's not going to restrict his ability to move at all. I'm a history enthusiast, but the subtle restrictions of a plate harness don't apply to Ganondorf, he's simply too insanely strong.

In that same token, armour in a fight between these two amounts to being useful for looks, because again, these characters are both so insanely physicly powerful.
