As per the leaks, the anime is on Netflix now (at least in Japan).

I gotta say, I like this more than the previous one. I like that they included the DD/SoJ outfit too.

Man, I'm nearing the end of the HD trilogy on Steam right now (the last time I played all the way through it was on WiiWare), and this just reinforces how much I want Phoenix to make it in. Even knowing the major contradictions of the cases, it's so satisfying to see how the writing all ties together and to spend time with all these lovable characters again. This post doesn't have a big conclusion or anything lol, I'm just greatly enjoying playing through Bridge to the Turnabout again and wanted to reiterate my support for Phoenix

The team that did that Nick render showed off some alts yesterday. Which one is your favourite?


I think these are pretty accurate to what would happen if Nick got in. They made 8 alts even though the two base renders would take two slots, so if these were in, I could see them ditching the Gumshoe and Trucy alts. I also think that the Mia alt would end up all black in order to become a Ryūnosuke alt. It would be cool to see a hobo and Feenie alt, too, but that would probably be unlikely if Phoenix got in with both his trilogy look and 3DS look (although I guess they could replace the Maya alt with a more pink look to reference Feenie). (also i'd love a Sissel alt but that would probably be too many red alts)

These look clean as hell, ngl. The Godot, Trudy, and Edgeworth ones are my favorite.

Some good news that might lead to a 4-6 trilogy port if the leaks were right: the original trilogy has sold 1 million!

If Athena is the star of the show, I could see Franziska returning as a prosecutor. I think there's a quote by one of the devs saying how they would like these two to face off.

Hm, well I don't wanna say too much in case people that have never played or just started playing pop in here, I'll spoiler myself, uh

Yeah! Well, it's interesting! SoJ didn't leave at status quo like Dual Destinies did, I'm wondering if they had a specific plan with Apollo going off or they just felt it was right for his character. I love Apollo but I really don't want to go back to Khu'rain personally, I just don't prefer its music or aesthetic, but would love another note or phone call from him...! They said it was time to finally tell him and Trucy the truth at the end but I don't really need to see that conversation, just knowing it was time was closure enough for me.

I also think Kristoph is awesome and knowing what we know now about Black Psyche-Locks, I'm super curious. We only got info on motives from him. He explained that Zak didn't hire him and he thought Phoenix wasn't as good as him, we got that whole speech from him, but Black Psyche-Locks hide something not even they themselves know...! And all his sprites, his entire design is closed off. Even in his breakdown and after he's still trying to hold himself together, still hiding something. To revisit and explore that could be cool, but honestly...leaving it there might be better... never fully knowing or understanding is actually really cool, and his final lasting impact being his crazed laugh echoing in the courtroom is more than enough of an amazing ending for me there...

So...what else...oh right, like the post I just saw above I would love Franziska to come back for at least one case, but it's hard to imagine a new interesting arc for her, so just a guest appearance is alright with me. I also want to keep things light on Phoenix, Maya, Edgeworth...I love them so much, but I feel like they've already peaked, maybe I'm wrong, you could probably tell a story that affects them all personally and gets us on the edge of our seats, but my gut says they can take a backseat...

Doesn't feel quite right to do a timeskip either I guess, I mean they could, but I dunno, I wanna see a bit more of how the office works with Apollo overseas. We got a bit in the DLC case and that was cool.

So Athena's the star? Well that's cool, Blackquill was a great foil for her, but what's a fun new character that would pair well with her... And the mood matrix is my favorite mechanic, I want to play around more with the fun potential witnesses we could have, multiple personality disorder and something with no emotions were great ideas. Someone with no emotions is so cool I kind of want to do it again but when it was used as a climax already I think I feel like no, shouldn't...

Hmm...a serial killer mastermind among the cast would be cool...I guess we already did that a couple times even if the kills were like just 2 people or something, but still... A serial killer that goes for more of that would be awkward to fit in the story though...if they're behind all the murders then by case 3 you're ganna be pretty bored knowing it's the same person somehow...

Y'know, I just don't know! It's tough! I like the concept they had of an underground court system that went by it's own illegal rules, I kind of like the idea of the characters being kidnapped and made to prove something or another or maybe help some scary kidnapper character acting as a judge understand emotions while also proving something...but that seems pretty dark. I mean sure they could lighten it up, but I don't know... Maybe Athena is kidnapped and made to prove things in some underground court and the kidnapper doesnt understand her mood matrix but she assures it works, meanwhile Phoenix and others work cases above ground worried, trying to find her, and finding out who the kidnapper is mid-trial... or maybe even other way around, Phoenix is kidnapped and Athena has to save him, that makes more sense, they'd want the famous Phoenix Wright more, Wright dealing with a third kidnapping would be a but much, would give a good excuse for Athena to go up against characters like Edgeworth or Franziska, would be neat to see interactions where Wright is missing, would be less dark and more light with Phoenix being in an underground court thing since I remember how many times he survived crazy situations, and they could even do a climax where maybe...ahh it sounds stupid, nah, but I was ganna say they burst into the base and find a body they think is Phoenix only for Phoenix to be okay and rise from the ashes again, but thats dumb. Would be neat to see characters reactions but an autopsy would easily be like "Yeah this isnt Phoenix" pffft

Well it's sloppy, but that's what I've got for now I guess, there's somethin kinda neat there, some sorta potential!

What I'd give for them to at least just touch base on Iris again. Seemed like she and Phoenix were potentially trying to make it work if Phoenix's visits mentioned during the credits of Trials and Tribulations are anything to go by.

Shame Apollo Justice kinda screwed the pooch on things and had a lot of the characters disappear. Now we've been having to get them gradually return, bit by bit. :U

a question i always hear Objection when talking about Ace Attourney
But in the German Version theyre Moment Mal (if you Attack) and Einspruch (when you find out a mistake by presenting evidence) so do you only have Objection or is it one of the 2

Also weirdly enough outside of the Ds Trillogy and the Prof Layton Crossover (because L5) No Ace Attourney has German Texts im serious!

We have “objection” for pointing out contradictions and “take that” for presenting evidence at other points

Would it be possible for Phoenix to have any direct physical attacks (e.g. a generic punch combo) without being too out of character?

Maybe something derived from source material could work, like Phoenix breaking down the door in 2-2 or Apollo's uppercut in 4-1.

There are 3 in both languages:

Einspruch! = Objection!
Moment mal! = Hold it!
Nimm das! = Take that!

Definitely earlier. October is wayyyy too late to make any serious announcements since there's only 3 months left to release the DGS ports and AA7 (and maybe even 4-6 ports), which kills a lot of potential hype.

I loved playing the first game with the fan translation, will be happy to replay it alongside the sequel which hasn't been fully finished yet! From certain leaks it's seems like Sherlock is going to be called Herlock (lmao) and I'm 100% sure they're going to turn down the racism from certain characters.
