#103 this vote has yet to move fwiw. he's had this since rvs. this is definitely colored by future events but it still strikes me as convenient that he places this in rvs and then just keeps it there, chiming in with "we should lynch laundry". maybe i'm being overly paranoid though i dunno
Either way, the rest of this is fairly typical RVS shenanigans. Joker wagon sets up, nothing of importance or note really occurs.
#108 This is the first vote that actually reads as valid or legitimate or something but I really can't buy this. Ramses is all about wording but to lynch someone for posting "imo tbh on an RVS vote". C'mon.
#112 And yet he seemingly is pushing it as legitimate. I dunno, part of me wants to buy Occam's Razor and say that this is a less transparent version of the Joker wagon at the start of the game but it's not very conclusive.
#119 Joey jumps at it. I dunno why Joey jumps at it, it's obviously nothing that will legitimately pressure him and yet he jumps at it.
And thus we begin Joey vs Joker for the rest of the game. I'll just grab the individual posts and save comments for the end:
#120
#122
#123
#126
#138
#139
#140
And so it goes. I don't wanna grab every post, this is enough to gain an idea behind it. I didn't really get this then and I still don't know. On the one hand, Joker's push is so incredibly weak but on the other hand,
Joey's jumping at it. I don't get why. Most people are clearly misunderstanding what Joey is posting but saying "imo tbh" is not particularly scummy, especially in RVS,
especially attached to a vote that is clearly a joke.
The problem is this interaction doesn't stop or get cut off any time soon so we have to suffer through more of it.
#124 After getting two votes on him, Ruy finally posts something of value but his questions aren't directed at every slot. That's different than most situations. But he starts talking about...Joey? And his voting pattern? I don't get this, Joey's voting pattern during RVS wasn't anything special and neither vote was significant or meaningful.
#128 How does everyone in this game consistently misconstrue Joey's posts? I swear we're all milk here because everyone's skimmed.
#130
#131
#132
#133
#135
Quick burst of posts from Ruy but this is why I read him as town early on--I don't see him playing like this as scum. He legitimately looks like he's scumhunting, though that does mean less in this game.
#145 I misread this the first time I read it. I still don't particularly care for it though. It's just so ****ing horrible to say "no the game can't start off with any random wagons but hey nobody's gonna screw up otherwise" and I seriously don't like it.
#164 Joey openly agrees with Gheb's logic that no random wagons is good. Still leaves himself open to change his mind later on though.
#168 I mean people did say this in the thread.
#176 And here Joey does change his mind after Ryker points out the flaw in Gheb's logic. He then actively questions Gheb about it. let's see if Gheb answers!
NB: No, he doesn't.
#181 "he's not scummy, he's wrong, but i'll still keep my vote because why not"
Hindsight is powerful but I still ****ing hate this.
#184 Along with this vote. It's bogus and horse**** but still, it's aggressive and Potato's not that dumb.
Maven vs Ryker is looking almost as dumb as Joker vs Joey did beforehand...
#236 Ramses aggressively doing nothing again. Votes Maven later on because hey why not?
#239 Top kek m8
#243 This is where Ruy finally jumps on. It's probably the most tacked on of all of them. Gorf made a point later on about how late it was but it doesn't really seem too far behind everyone else.
#247 Potato's vote was fairly whack.
#248 This is the part where Maven starts to look a lot better I think.
#251 This isn't even for a read anymore, I just find it incredibly ironic that you're lecturing Maven and coming to the conclusion that he's scummy based on him jumping when you're the one saying "nonono don't wagon me i know you're just trying to get me mad it won't work nonono you can't kill me ************ i like you ************ ding ding"
#254 "I didn't call for Maven to get lynched" -Ruy 6 pages later.
#258 "I didn't call for Maven to get lynched" -Ryu 6 pages later
Like, really, why the **** else would you call for someone to go up to L-1?
#259 Like, this alone basically cleared up my misconceptions. It's exactly what Ryker was doing except much sloppier and way more transparent.
#270 And this makes it clear that Maven's pretty clearly buttmad townie. Too familiar.
#273 Irony realized.
#274 That point about Maven scumreading Joey and yet lauching at Ryker though...I did forget about that. I don't think it undoes his reaction, probably a mistake on Maven's part, but that is still a good point to make.
#279 nvm the above
#286 gus pls post something of value
#291 what are you doing
I'm not reading Joey vs Joker again. You can't make me. **** that noise. No. Drew if you have something legitimate from this I will cry as I sift through this pile of garbage to read it but there was absolutely nothing of value here the first time and I'm struggling to find it the second time as the entire thing is a giant ****ing misunderstanding.
#362 After doing that stupid restriction, he finally breaks it. Here's the thing--why did he leave his vote on me when he says he isn't sure on me? Why didn't his vote go between Kantrp and Joey?
Also I don't buy the "Joey's entry to Maven's wagon" was calculated horse**** still. It wasn't. No ****ing way, because Joey exposed that entire flaw in Joker's argument earlier in their back and forth.
#366 And this assesment of Joey feels way more inaccurate than accurate based on what I just read. Jumpy, sure, I'll buy that, but Joker was completely wrong on Joey, he wasn't "visually manipulative", and he didn't really strawman Joker. That's weak.
#375 I don't get why you're letting him go based on this.
#383 also gheb severely misconstrues me
#385 That said, this is a fair point from Gorf.
#389 Why is that a good post? Why are you singling out him saying "Gorf's lying about his post restriction" as good?
And then we get a string of posts from him where we watch his vote transfer between his scummiest player, I guess. He puts out a readslist later that's:
#402 This. Only other person (besides me later on) to mention a dislike of Gheb.
#403 Also the only person to make this conclusion.
#410 "Gheb is not a concern of mine right now" Wouldn't be surprised to see a Gheb/Xonar scumteam honestly.
#418 That said, this is a more solid post from Ramses where he actually gives off information.
Both Gheb and Ramses are going hard in the paint all of a sudden. Deadline really got them going I guess? Surprising. Part of me sees the difference between Gheb and Ramses and yet part of me thinks they're both very similar for no really good reason.
#430 Is this what you mean when you say that he's cutting off information flow?
#432
#438
I know you mentioned this as cutting off information flow. What do you make of Gheb liking this?
I think I've for the most part caught up. I think the only other thing worth noting was Ruy's reaction to getting called out on his participation on Maven's wagon.
Thoughts:
Joey still reads null-town but that's more null than town. I do think he looked fairly flustered but stubbornly town in his exchanges with Joker. He never faltered, pointed out the flaws in Joker's posts, and stuck to his guns. If he had nothing, Joker would've exposed him, and he would've backtracked. I do think his early play was very grimy, though. I don't like how quickly he jumped at the "imo tbh" **** and how easily he was baited by Joker.
I still distrust Gheb. I think his play stepped up towards the end where he kept calling people to at least post **** but he hasn't posted a response to anything people have asked of him and I still don't trust him based on his early post about wagons. He's doing a lot of leading without playing anything from his hand. I still distrust him.
I see why you dislike Ramses now. I get it pretty well, in fact. He's done like nothing of value, shut down information avenues, and has routinely done little and harped on the wrong **** over the course of this game.
I still don't like Ruy if only for his entire actions with the Maven wagon. It's not particularly excusable and his attempts at trying have been poor.
Potato looks better on late interactions as well. It somewhat explains early play.
Why do you like Gorf? I still don't get it. He farces a posting restriction and then follows people the entirety of the day. He votes me and then says he suspects Kantrip/Joey more but doesn't understand why I'm scummy. If you want to accuse someone of keeping their hands clean, it's him.
I think that's really it. [/collapse]
