Valdens and I were talking and he claims that he is as well known as me. I pointed out pompous attitudes for Brawl players who have never done anything to have the "fame" they claim to have is why the Melee community despises them (aside from their preference of a ****ty game).

He was surprised when I claimed there was no way he is as well known as me or widely appreciated, even in a larger community.

Basically, I'm a pompous arrogant jerk and made this group on AiB.

I'm at a SEVERE handicap since it is an AiB poll and he is the president of AiB, so I need as much smashboards support as I can get.

I've only ever heard of valdens like twice
one because he's a ****** who joined every group
two from playing like 3 friendlies with DSF one time

hes some brawl d00d. official "president of aib", though it doesnt give him anything but recognition for being a spammy weirdo. hes also one of the best brawl G&Ws in the world (lol gay)

So the main question is: Why did you make this poll on AllisBrawl instead of SWF instead? SWF seems like a more Smash-general place, whereas AllisBrawl is obviously catered to Brawl players.

...And I like Brawl. :/

Yeah, it could be full of a bunch of kids and could potentially become the Metaknight Fighting Game, but the good old hostile attitude I get from some Melee players isn't really a great delight either. >_>

I'd like to see someone deny this.

Challenging him in his area of more likely success seemed like it would be more of an accomplishment when I inevitably win.

dunno, goading people into saying dumb things and making dumb/assertions via the internet isn't a terrible waste of time at all (it really isn't)

the point (one that's been made over and over again) is that this "hostile" attitude was slowly developed after the majority of the brawl community (new players) consistently acted in an immature fashion/posted like idiots/did dumb stuff in general

doesn't really help that brawl is a poorly designed game to begin with

you can make the argument that "there's no point in acting in such a childish fashion," but really, what have we to gain? the majority of the community leans toward being ******** and asinine, and most of us see little (if anything at all) in the game itself

sure, some members of the community are amicable, but on a whole i'd rather not interact with a large portion of brawlers or whatever the **** they choose to call themselves these days

if you're not an idiot and you play brawl then this doesn't really apply to you
