Now, for some reason, I included Dragon and I am not sure why I did since we already have a Red Dragon included. Now, 3 people voted for a Dragon. I am assuming that perhaps that votes for the Red Dragon would go to the regular Dragon which would put that to 10 votes. I do not want to do a recount as I simply do not have the time for it. So I am taking the top 3 submissions: Dragon, Viking Ship, and Pegasus to put it up for a vote if we are ok to add these in based on the number of votes. If we disagree with adding these in, we will have to eventually do a recount vote. When, I do not know.

We will be including an alternate costume for a character that includes fantastical tropes. This means changing the outfit of the character, not a full-on model swap that changes the character. You are free to base it off a current character in gaming but if you want to make a new costume, that is fine as well.

Likewise, we will be submitting a color for a character that utilizes colors that, perhaps, use some sort of fantastical motif. This might be harder than in previous submissions.

When it is ready to despawn, a dragon will appear, eat it, and go away - with a rare chance of a bat picking up the dragon. The Adventurer can be hit, and instantly gets killed with grabs or command grabs - though since it floats and a lot of projectiles have active hitboxes while being held, it's easier said than done

There is a new thread poll up. After the Festival of Fantasy, we will be moving into the FUN SUN SUMMER FEST. Beyond adding obligatory summer-based costumes for characters, I am holding a poll on how we feel about adding additional outfits that give particular characters a swimsuit outfit.

Mii Costume - Jester Outfit
For Both Mii Mage and Mii Swordfighter

The sword and wand turns into a Jester's Scepter

Assist Trophy - Diablo

The appearance of Diablo would mark a second Assist Trophy Blizzard rep but this character embodies the medieval/fantasy-like motif we are going for. using the height of Diablo III but the muscular physique of II and HotS. When summoned, he will do multiple attacks:
Slash: When he gets near an opponent, de delivers a brutal slash attack followed by a second and then a third downward slash.
Fireball: Releases a Power Wave-type attack that is much larger and travels along the ground until it hits the ledge or an opponent which causes a large explosion.
Flame Circle: Stomps his feet which causes a wing of fire to shoot out on either side as you see in this gif
Boine Prison: Create a prison of bones that traps opponents
Teleport: Teleports
Red Lighting Hose: A charge attack that takes a lot of time to activate but unleashes a powerful blast.

Assist - Orochi (Warriors Orochi)

The Antagonist of the Warriors Orochi series which in itself is a cross-over between Dynasty & Samurai Warriors. Wanted to include the series considering the multiple Zelda & Fire Emblem cross-overs but wanted to avoid characters based on real world people & this is what i came up with.

Assist wouldnt be anything to crazy, would just move towards opponents while swinging scythe & end with a super attack similar to something like Spring Man. Can also be attacked & KOed.

Yes, we have a lot of costumes with many of these swimsuit varities. I will explain this more in-depth later. We also have a new stage being planned but depends on various things. The biggest surprise to fans will be the unveiling of our first non-Mii Newcomer! We have yet to have one yet and, with a game that was released in November, having a newcomer in August would be quite the long wait!

We will be brainstorming from now until tomorrow about what characters might fit that role so we have a potential pool to draw from....

DISCUSSION ROUND: Which character would best fit to be released in a Summer-related Event​

This character doesn't need to SCREAM summer but should have some connections to the season, its activities, or common tropes of summer which, is to say, the Northern Hemisphere variety. Sorry Aussies.

Zelda's color seems high enough in vote count with a 6 point lead that she could be automatically included as one of the two slots, and then the second one would be a runoff between the latter 3 after her.

There would be some fun Pokémon newcomer ideas, but the best choice for the summer event, Gholdengo is already in the roaster.

One idea is a Second Sun and moon rep, but It can’t be Decidueye, Tsarrena or Lurantis (While they are fun Pokémon, we already have 3 grass types (counting Grovyle and Celebi as separate Pokémon). Crabbrawler would be an ideal choice. Pablo’s and is an oddball choice

Another choice would be Cinderace, due to soccer being a general summer sport, but then again, it’s a Pokéball Pokémon, but we have seen characters deemed impossible in smash get in.

The other idea is a new water type, like Sharpedo or Cramorant, but sadly those two might be disqualified for being Pokéball Pokémon or enemies in a smash. Wingull would be an odd pick, but seagulls are very common.

If we hadn't already added Mii Athlete I'd suggest a sports-themed character like Power Pro-Kun, but that'd be redundant at this point in time...

Perhaps a character with water powers? Can't think of one off the top of my head, especially with Pokemon being banned, though.

certainly not A-listers but fits the theme. The reason why a sports-themed character or Pokémon would not be allowed is due to being too close to releases of similar characters. A Pokémon may be allowed down the road. Currently, characters as game assets are not allowed but the keyword is “currently”. After heavy consideration, I’m opening submissions for Mii Costumes released PRIOR to Infinite Beyond.

Did we add Funky Kong as an echo? If not, maybe a fully-unique Funky? Or is his surfing considered too close to sports?

A pirate-related character seems cool - SOT would be awesome for Xbox points, and we could go for Guybrush Threepwood if we want to be real COGHy, but if we want to keep it first party there's Captain Syrup.

Perhaps Octodad? or some other water-animal-based character? Frogger? Is Sidestepper disconfirmed on virtue of being an 8-bit hazard on Mario Bros? What's the status of Koopa Troopa? a Rivals Water tribe character, or Fishbunjin for some non-Smash platfighter crossover? I would suggest the Giant Enemy Crab, but that's from a Sony game and I'd rather we add a few less-memey PS characters like Kratos/Aloy/PaRappa/Sackboy first.

That’s a lot to unload.

I know you are really heavy in adding “obscure characters” and what not. I’m not going to attack you for that cause I feel like you’ve gotten waaay too much over the past few days. That being said, I’ve always stated that The vision for the Infinite series is to add characters who are not worthy and can be used for marketing purposes. Someone who generates interest and money.

A few on that list does not achieve that and, if it did, only for a small group of people and that is not our focus. Funky Kong is not in our roster and is permissible. As is Koopa Troopa. Frogger is eligible. Sidestepper, Octodad, Rivals, Fishbunshin, and the likes would also be ineligible probably due to either being lackluster in comparison to bigger names.

I really like the idea of Kasumi, i feel like Hayabusa/a Koei Tecmo rep feels missing & she could be a good compromise (although id personally add Ayane over Kasumi).

Idk a few reps id like that could fit are Conker/Gruntilda or Mumbo Jumbo (Treasure Trove Cove/Diddy Kong Racing) or Yoshimitsu (Tekken (Volley)Ball) but not sure theyd have some the general appeal that some of our other options have (& also assuming Ruby Heart (pirate) as a Capcom Vs. rep would be too obscure).
