Speaking of good commercials. I instantly wanted smash when I saw this commercialLEAK

EDIT: i first saw Smash 64 in my local Mr. Movies. The idea of Mario fighting Pikachu was awesome to me.
You mean thisAlright, I need a break from Smash Bros.
I had a dream last night that Sakurai agreed that Ridley was too big, and he instead put Ridley in an Arwingf/F-Zero car hybrid. Imagine an F-Zero car with Arwing features, and Ridley's head and wings sticking out.
It was terrible.
The worst part is, I'm being 100% honest about this.
Needs more blast processing. And/or running over the Snuggle bear.Speaking of good commercials. I instantly wanted smash when I saw this commercial

Arwridly for smash.Alright, I need a break from Smash Bros.

I think a Nintendo WiiU demo area would make sense, but anything other than that or some comic-related series or games doesn't make sense IMO.Nintendo has produced some comics related to Starfox and Metriod, but i am not sure how recent they were released.
But I would agree, I would much rather have a Nintendo Direct around this time.
But Nintendo is desperate for exposure and will take advantage of any events available to get people aware of the Wii U.
Exactly, but slightly more colorful because of the Arwing stuff. You mean this

When Sonic was confirmed in that Nintendo Press Conference viva that trailer, I was blown out of the water. I watched that video a thousand times. Then, I went to bed, and though "man, that was great." I woke up thinking it was a dream and I was like "man, I wish that was true." I log onto the Dojo, and bam! The dream was real confirmed! I couldn't believe it after all this that my dream was real, and that Sonic was got into Smash that way!Smash Dreams are the worst
My first Nintendo game was Luigi's Mansion, played it around the age of 4 or 5. It was also one of my first Gamecube games, and the game also introduced me to Pikmin thanks to the trailer in the options menu.Smash was my first Nintendo game, first played it when I was like 5 or 6
Didn't know any of the characters besides Pikachu
Well maybe "desperate" was the wrong word to use, but with the staggering PS4/XB1 pre-orders and how slow Wii Us have been flying off the shelves, kinda shows the tough position that they are in.I think a Nintendo WiiU demo area would make sense, but anything other than that or some comic-related series or games doesn't make sense IMO.
As for Nintendo being "desperate," Sony and Microsoft have both done this before numerous times at Comic-Con. Given Nintendo's strong 2014 WiiU lineup (The Wonderful 101, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Pikmin 3, Super Luigi U, etc), and how much better that lineup is than the PS4 or Xbox One, I don't think they really are that desperate. If anything, they're in the same situation as the Xbox 360 was before the Wii and PS3 came out, albeit the competition is clearly much better this time around (and the WiiU obviously has a higher quality of exclusives than the Xbox 360).
The game looks like it is a lot better offensively in the air than Melee or Brawl, which IMO is a good thing. Smash 64's sense of stage interaction (especially added with the new teching off of walls and roofs), stage quality, stage variety, and offensive execution is really a long forgotten about thing by most smashers. That just so happens to be my current favorite one of the series to play against my friends.
False, Landmastdley.Arwridly for smash.

I remember when I first got a GCN, lol I used to love just staring at the box that it came in because of all the upcoming game screenshots they had on themMy first Nintendo game was Luigi's Mansion, played it around the age of 4 or 5. What about Sega?Well maybe "desperate" was the wrong word to use, but with the staggering PS4/XB1 pre-orders and how slow Wii Us have been flying off the shelves, kinda shows the tough position that they are in.
The Wii U doesn't have that ''IT Factor'' that the Wii once had, so I doubt people will be flocking to the Wii U as they once did with Wii.
I'm not denying the Wii U's strong line up, but this is the line up that should have been present during the first 6 months of the Wii U.
These were suppose to be the games that would help build the systems install base and to help entice 3rd party devs to make games for the Wii U.
EA has all but abandoned the platform. Activsion & 2K seem wishy-washy on Wii U support. Which kinda of leaves Ubisoft the only 3rd party to support the Wii U.
Nintendo has an uphill battle trying to pleasing fans and devs now.
How could I forget about SEGA.What about Sega?
Yeah, but that same thing largely happened with the Xbox 360 against the PS3 and the Wii. The PS3 started strong, and then folded, while the Wii took over. Considering the WiiU is about to get a heck of a lot better games than either console, eventually, that will help sell a lot of WiiU's.Well maybe "desperate was the wrong word to use, but with the staggering PS4/XB1 pre-orders and how slow Wii Us have been flying off the shelves, kinda shows the tough position that they are in.
Part of the WiiU's lack of sales is economical, part of it is poor/limited marketing. All of that in time will be fixed. I imagine the Xbox One will run into both issues, while the PS4 will definitely run into the former. Also, the limited library problem the WiiU is currently facing is one that the Xbox One and PS4 will face (although likely not as bad, except the Xbox One will definitely not have the same quality of exclusives). The Wii U doesn't have that ''IT Factor'' that the Wii once had, so I doubt people will be flocking to the Wii U as they once did with Wii.
As for 3rd party developers, I don't think many of them will make a noticeable impact until late 2015. Usually it takes most 3rd party developers about that long to make quality games for a new console, specifically multi-console games. On top of that, a lot of developers will be just fine with making PS3 and Xbox 360 games for a larger amount of people who own the console and thus about 10 times as many people could potentially buy said games.I'm not denying the Wii U's strong line up, but this is the line up that should have been present during the first 6 months of the Wii U.These were suppose to be the games that would help build the systems install base and to help entice 3rd party devs to make games for the Wii U.
To be fair, Warner Bros. and Disney are helping Wii U as much as Ubisoft.EA has all but abandoned the platform. Activsion & 2K seem wishy-washy on Wii U support. Which kinda of leaves Ubisoft the only 3rd party to support the Wii U.
XB1 is actually selling?Well maybe "desperate" was the wrong word to use, but with the staggering PS4/XB1 pre-orders and how slow Wii Us have been flying off the shelves, kinda shows the tough position that they are in.

Nintendo has an uphill battle trying to pleasing fans and devs now. I'm expecting another Gamecube-esque era from the Wii U, which i don't mind. A sick Smash installment is all I need.
The Video game industry has such a rich history. How could I forget about SEGA.

Nintendo ought to buy SEGA. That way, at least in regards to smash bros, all of this "Sonic won't return" crap will go away, and we can finally get Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Eggman Robotnik in Smash! How could I forget about SEGA.
