"More than one fighter." This could mean a number of things. This could mean people like Samus/ZSS, Zelda/Sheik, and Pokemon Trainer or this could mean more characters that play like the Ice Climbers or both. The plot thickens...http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/13/smash-bros-wii-u-3ds-might-not-release-at-the-same-time
As title says, Wii U and 3DS might have different release dates due to the 3DS having difficulties incorporating characters with more than one fighter such as the Ice Climbers. (So I guess the Climbers are pseudo-confirmed as well.)
Thats plural...interesting...http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/13/smash-bros-wii-u-3ds-might-not-release-at-the-same-time

I doubt it. He said the same thing word for word about Brawl.http://kotaku.com/dont-expect-a-lot-of-third-party-characters-in-the-nex-513203533
So I'm guessing this is a subtle way of saying "No Snake & Sonic"?
Smaller roster I'm kinda sad by though.
The other big thing to note is this:
The 3DS and Wii U versions of the next Smash Bros will have the same library of characters.
That may not be entirely true, but yeah lets hope for those dream characters without weighing in dlc as an option.Well you guys better hope your dream characters make it into the roster because there is no DLC either

I agree.Seeing her randomly trip would ruin everything.Everyone who was against Fitgirl should apologize she taught the cast how to balance. Even John, one of the most vocal haters has seen the error of his ways.
IT. JUST. KEEPS. GETTING. BETTER!http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/06/13/e3-2013-no-plans-for-smash-bros-dlc-tripping-removed
"The series creator described the gameplay direction of Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Super Smash Bros. 3DS as being somewhere between the faster, more competitive style of Melee and the slower, more casual design of Brawl. No doubt that will be good news for those wanting a better compromise."
OHHHHHH!!!
that would be my top choice roasterI'm not really a Mewtwo fan, but if he's his new form in his reveal trailer, I'll flip my ****.
Alight, so, let's say we get 15 newcomers. Six of them are: Megaman, Pac-Man, Little Mac, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and Miis.
This leaves us with Nine other slots. Let's designate twp more slot to another Small franchise, and the rest to the top most wanted characters from existing franchises.
Isaac, Ridley, King K. Rool, Palutena, Roy, Mewtwo, Junior, Krystal, Shulk
Would this roster reveal please you?
I just keep loving this new game more and more. All of these interviews are making up for the lack of character reveals.http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/06/13/e3-2013-no-plans-for-smash-bros-dlc-tripping-removed

"At the current time we have no plans," Sakurai told me. "I consider my job at this point, and my main responsibility, to make the Wii U and 3DS versions the best and the fullest experience possible. That said, once finished, it's the type of thing we could take into consideration, but for now, you could consider DLC as not being in the cards."Well you guys better hope your dream characters make it into the roster because there is no DLC either

Well, here it is. This is what I've been worried about this entire time and my worst fears have come into fruition. Now that it's confirmed, I think I may need to actually stop speculating and not care about this game. Sorry, fellas."The reality of the situation unfortunately is that there are certain limitations on the 3DS," Sakurai said. The 3DS and Wii U versions of the next Smash Bros will have the same library of characters.
"So we're forced into the situation where we may need to reduce some characters to a certain degree. but we're really working hard in order to include as many characters as possible."
What do the bolded parts exactly mean?So we're forced into the situation where we may need to reduce some characters to a certain degree. but we're really working hard in order to include as many characters as possible.
True. So I'm guessing the WiiU one will come out earlier? Between limitations and system work arounds it is apparent that the 3DS will require some more work."At the current time we have no plans," Sakurai told me. So we could get DLC down the road, keep in mind Sakurai changed his mind on Villager. Also, further keep in mind Nintendo's philosophy regarding DLC is for it to be entirely new content that was never held back content to begin with.
Also this...
And what about returning characters? I knew Sakurai wouldn't want to get too specific—Nintendo likes to announce characters for their big mascot fighting series with a dripfeed of news on the Smash Bros. Dojo website—but should fans expect all of their favorites from Melee and Brawl?

I am going to seriously rage if characters like Mii, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager and Pac-Man bumped out some of Brawl's veterans, and the reason why we don't get some of the few deserving veteran series newcomers left.
I keep saying that if we do get character DLC in Smash 4 it will be veterans that were cut.
Sakurai never said anything about the games getting separate release date, what he said what that one game could be completed earlier than the other one. So for example, if Smash 4 Wii U is completed earlier than Smash 4 3DS, then its possible it could be held back from release until Smash 4 3DS is also released.True. So I'm guessing the WiiU one will come out earlier? Between limitations and system work arounds it is apparent that the 3DS will require some more work.
Hopefully it means the 3DS version will have a more condensed roster... Either that or 3DS characters are different than their Wii U counterparts. What do the bolded parts exactly mean?
Sakurai has already said both versions will have the same number of characters. So folks, the 3DS version is going to handicap the Wii U version.Hopefully it means the 3DS version will have a more condensed roster...
...Can I take back what I said about the 3 other possible E3 newcomers? Give 3 good veterans that may be at risk of being cut out in their place."The reality of the situation unfortunately is that there are certain limitations on the 3DS," Sakurai said. The 3DS and Wii U versions of the next Smash Bros will have the same library of characters.

I'll take this.Either that or 3DS characters are different than their Wii U counterparts.
In others words, cuts are going to happen but they're going to try their best to make a sizable roster. What do the bolded parts exactly mean?
Because Sakurai really wants connectivity between the Wii U version and 3DS. After hearing this, **** that.Sakurai already said there will be different stages depending on what you're playing on. Why can't there be different characters as well?
