Shorts, that's the most massive poll ever! Kudos to you.
It is freaking ginormous, and super detailed. Good job shorts. I voted for like 80 characters and stages, and a lot of assist trophy characters and bosses!
The only thing I'll say is that her being a chick had nothing to do with those incidents.
Sounds like there were some bad tournament organizers/enforces and some bad mods who didn't do their job. Bunch of stupid male pigs. I'm surprised they didn't get on you for that as well automatic.
And I'll miss San Diego. I'll be returning to Humboldt in August now that I've straightened out my financial situation.
I feel like I have 2 months left to live in a second life. It's kind of surreal.
Yeah, well that's not to say you'll never return. and besides that, there's other great cities out there. I'd also like to point out San Jose is a freaking nice city... even if every competitive Melee player there is really good at Falco!

I crack jokes every now and them irl with my friends, I'm pretty animated too irl. I'm usually quiet around people I don't know, but once I get to know them I'm less quite.

I'm still cautious of moving out from my parents. I'd rather wait until I'm done with college and get a steady job before i flee the coupe. For now I'll just help out with the bills, and enjoy my mom's cooking.

Hey now. U3U
Well, it's never worked out for me and the people I've met.

Though I have read success stories on 4chan and stuff.

There was this couple who met online, on some forum or something, and they got on really well, did the online dating deal for like a year, and then moved in together.

I suppose it's the way of the future, you're more likely to meet your other half on the web than in your city. Most success stories say Skype is your friend. Though I still wouldn't be keen on doing that, because, as we said, people tend to behave differently online, than in real life. I need to physically meet someone to get a fair judgement. There is so much that body language and physical touch communicate that you just can't convey through the web. Not to mention, it's easier to idealize someone through the web. If they sort of match up with your ideal, you will fill in the blanks with what you would like the person to be like than what they're really like. Though this happens irl too, but it's not as prone to happening as it is online.

The other situation, "a couple go long distance after so many years of dating" is hard, REAL hard. I suppose a couple who can endure such agony will come out having a much stronger bond, but it's a risky move that could end in a lot of pain for both sides.

If you're willing to take the risk, all the power to you, and best of luck. I still don't think I'd be willing to, at least not until a girl who can change my mind comes into my life one way or another.

As far as differences between us posting on here and talking in real life, I will say that I am actually much more quiet and a bit timid in real life, if we're being honest. It's a bit easier to express your opinions over the internet, in my opinion.

I actually really would wanna meet a lot of you irl. I wish we could have a meet up or something. Like we all get together one day week and chill.
That'd be interesting. It'd be hilarious if we all ended up hating each other and life on smashboards would never be the same. Although that likely wouldn't happen, or anything close.

It'd be tough as balls to organize though, but hey, if 4chan can get it done, maybe we can too.
The only way it could somewhat happen was if there was a big event that multiple of us would be going to. A public E3 would be the best example, but that won't be happening. Big Smash tournaments could be another, though I don't know if I'd be taking Smash 4 that seriously, and a lot of that hinges upon what the game ends up being like.

As for me, I moved to a different country solo, my family and closest friends all live on the other side of the world. So not only am I used to their time zone, but also to communicating through skype and facebook to stay in touch. I just am who I am, I really can't picture putting on some sort of "internet image."

I try to be as brutally honest with myself at all times, and hey, it works I suppose.
I'm honest as well.

Tao Te Ching:

"The Master, by residing in the Tao,
sets an example for all beings
Because he doesn't display himself,
people can see his light.
Because he has nothing to prove,
people can trust his words."

It's just, because of the change in the process of how we are communicating, a different product is produced.

EDIT:
The only thing I don't do are Long Distance Relationships. That **** never works out, and always ends worse than the Hinderburg.

I don't find those types of relationships inherently faulty, it depends on how the relationship is constructed. This is coming from a person who has had two of these, both of them being horrendous. But they were horrendous because we (mostly them :awesome: ) were horrendous.

How did Paper Mario get so high? 0_0
Because the first two Paper Mario games are amazing works of art, and his moveset could have so... much... potential!!!
@John: Yeah, we got pretty upset there for a bit. Banning Ridley threads didn't help. Also didn't help that the guys in charge were kind of EMOTIONAL though, lol. THAT OL' GYPSY_LEE.
I got a warning for telling a Ness hater troll on the Ness thread (after the "until now" announcement) to "shut the hell up." And yeah, some of those pre-Brawl release Brawl forum mods were turrible. I found that Mic and McFox had to work real hard on the Brawl forum area. Plus, the Sonic announcement blew those boards up.
More importantly WHY is Waluigi above Pac-man & BANJO KAZOOIE...
I understand Waluigi being above Banjo, who sadly has no hope of being playable (thanks M1cr0-tran$@$$ion-$0ft), but Waluigi being above Pac-Man is absurd.

Krystal's top tenned in every poll I've made except the last one, where she left off at 14. She's usually number Seven, and in 2010 she was number 4.

@Long Distance Relationships

Yeah, I had one of the most doable LDR's there could be, and I still couldn't make it work. *sighs* I try to stay away from them now. A year of my life down the drain. >.< Oh well... I tried, and I had a lot of fun, and some amazing memories I'll never forget, that's all I can say anymore. Blegh. Bleeeeghhhhhhh. Urrghuuuughhhhhh. **** boys.

I'm honestly most astounded by characters like Dark Samus, Black Shadow, and Lyn placing so high. They all exceeded my expectations. The rest of the results sort of make sense to me. Suprised to see Zoroark fall so low, really.

To my understanding the poll was about who would rather play as.(I could be wrong) But that tells me that people would rather play as Waluigi over Banjo-Kazooie

Well Krystal was the exception, but the top 7 have been constantly in the top 10 for the last 3 years almost, especially with Medusa's fanbase now virtually gone. Most of the top characters have been there forever, especially that top 5. That might be the same top 5 most wanted characters who were not playable in Brawl since Brawl was released. I don't know about you guys, but I think that is pretty cool actually.

Yeah, I have a desired career (external auditing/independent accounting) that requires a Associates' and Bachelor's Degree, so I have to stay there. :ohwell:

I'm almost always PG, except about certain details that need to be PG-13. That applies both IRL and on the inter-web-slinger-thing.

That's what the poll is, but often people don't vote on these kind of polls for characters they perceive as having no chance, and they feel more inclined to characters they see as very likely. For whatever reason, people think Waluigi should be and will be a playable character in smash bros (Sakurai laughs at that notion), and that's a big reason why they keep voting for him. That whole "Wario Bros" thing (that doesn't actually exist) keeps the fanbase voting for Waluigi.

I met my lady very specifically on a Ridley for Brawl board. Can't get over how crazy that is. She doesn't even care that much about him.

Not gonna lie, I'm actually pretty timid when it comes to meeting people I haven't met IRL. Around my friends, though, I'm loud and funny. Here is where I'm my calmest without being terrifyingly shy.

I don't like creating false personas, although my behavior and attitudes vary quite a lot depending on what kind of places I am.

I get very reserved and nervous around strangers or in crowded places, but around people I know well, I open myself quite easily.

I don't know how would I feel if I met any of you personally, but I would probably feel uneasy and come off as a cold person at first.

As for Holder's quote, I have nothing to prove, because I'm already THE BESSTTT IN THE WORLLLDDDD!!! :shades:

And to quote Sun Tzu in "The Art of War"...
"Victorious warriors win first and the go to war...
while defeated warriors go to war first
and then seek to win."

All the real men and women love purple dragons that killed Samus' parents.

I usually wait a while before really opening my mouth to gauge people and to get them loose and not freaking scared to talk. I like it when people are willing to say stuff. You know, so that they are the most enjoyable to be around as they could possibly be for themselves, myself, and others=??? :bee: :smirk: :awesome: :shades:

You'd think Frostwraith would be my archenemy due to the polar opposite of fire being ice, but that's actually not the case.

I guess it can't be helped. I guess we are all at the point where we are trying to be realistic
I's be lying if said i try to keep it PG-13.

If Manly ever does a drawing of Frost, he should definitely have some sort of ice power, sort of like Frozone from the Incredibles. Just saying.

Yeah, we Low Tier now baby.

(Is this something I should be proud of? It's like saying, yeah, we're mediocre!!)

Anyway, on LDRs. I guess the last bit I'll put in before just dropping the topic. It's not that I wouldn't do it because I'd wanna date other girls in the meantime. On the contrary. I'm perfectly comfortable in my own skin, and usually prefer staying single. I only get into a relationship if the girl is special enough to convince me to persue things further. I just don't like the feeling of really wanting to be with someone, and not being able to. To want to touch them, and hold their hand, and look at their face when I talk to them, and to just go out and do things together, but being constrained to Text Messages and Facebook posts. It's agonizing. Then you start locking yourself into riddiculous mental loops, you worry about stupid things, etc... it's not good for your health.

Like I said, I'd only do it if I felt it was worth the effort. Like a once in a lifetime kinda girl. Thankfully, I'm still ripe at the age of 22 and don't need to boggle my head with those things. I don't look for love, I let it find me, I got other things to do. Lucky is the girl who manages to cage this bird I should say, I'll enjoy my freedom for as long as I can.

I don't swear that much or typically speak in a "dirty" manner, but I am naturally pretty open, for the most part, on what I'm willing to say. Can't be tied down, y'know? Unless there is some particular reason to of course, then that's fine.

1. The Incredibles 2 would be amazing.
2. Brad Bird is a genius who creates works of art, whether it is The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, or even Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. I can't wait to see what he does with his next movie (with Disney) in Tomorrowland.

Lol I make up my own curse words too. one of my favorites is Spap. I don't know if it has any meaning at all, but it sure as hell sounds offensive.
I also remember giving people the ring finger instead of of the middle finger. when I was in middle school (Yeah...that made me cool) saved me from getting my butt beat by my parents though.

Iron Giant and Rattata Ratata ............THAT rat movie were amazing movies. I remember loving the animations in Iron Giant in particular

The Iron Giant is one of the few movies that have actually made me cry. It's sort of funny. Live-action movies never make me cry, but certain animated films (specifically, Up, Toy Story 3, The Iron Giant, and The Fox and the Hound) really make me bawl. I guess I just find that animated movies convey emotions better, for some reason.

In real life I'm pretty much the same except a lot more sarcastic. The matter in which I post is pretty evident of me. I'm online much more than I actually post on only chip in when I'm interested or feel I'm needed. In real life of I can I'll sit fairly quietly in a group just watching and listening with frequent quick bursts of activity. I'd be more sarcastic here if text couldn't be so easily misconstrued.

CGI everything is really annoying IMO. Especially since a lot of people aren't doing anything especially innovative with it. Take paper man for example that mixed 2D and 3D, I really liked that animation more so than the animation in Wreck it Ralph.

EDIT: To clarify, I mean everything theses days being CGI is annoying. Not if one piece uses exclusively CGI.
