Actually, I've been back for about a week now. My schedule's stuffed during the school year and summer is when things lightened up. Two jobs, a master's degree, and side work with about 30 student organizations has kept me busy. Despite my prolonged lurking, I didn't want to just suddenly show up when the Smash Ball dropped next Tuesday and, I'll admit, I'm kind of tripping over my own nostalgia right now.

Deep Silver commissioned a 3rd rate studio from Irvine, CA to work on PTE.
Sony used a large portion of their perennially successful Santa Monica Studio (from Santa Monica, CA) in order to assemble SuperBot which produced PSASBR.

I'll concede to you the point that they probably weren't wearing flags on their heads though.

I honestly only remember you once the 2011 announcement happened. But it was a long time ago, so I'm sure I don't remember everything.

I remember Fatman and Psycho. Posting back then. Once we get Toise back posting regularly (IF, I suppose), and Pieman, we'll have pretty much all the oldest posters back. (Toise, Pieman, Arcade, TTK, FMOI, and Chu)

Yeah, it is pretty unique. Guys like you, me, Oasis, Psycho, Omega, samusrules, Thrillhouse (formerly hemightbegiant), Eternal Phoenix Fire, Buzz Saw, Youko, *pulls out his Michael Jackson voice* Smooth Criminal, Hyper, ethanrodgers, Diddy Kong, Creo, Arc, Pieman, TTK, Samurai Panda, ChronoBound, etc. are still all here on Smash Boards or related sites.

Now if only people like YEAHDUDE, Adi, Blackadder, 2nd Stamp, lunnnnniiii (he came back once 2 years ago; together across like half a dozen to a dozen small sites that were "havens" from smashbaords the two of us, we spammed at least 5,000 comments each, mostly quoting each other and going all over the board in terms of subject and spam and stuff), homelessvagrant, Del Money, RDK, Wiseguy, and demoncaterpie would come back...

Can't agree with you on the Pokemon Trainer part though, there really isn't any need at all to "upgrade" or replace the Pokemon he already has. He could lose the whole shared health aspect though

Thanks for agreeing on the characters i suggested (i have more to suggest later as well), but i think i created a small misunderstanding about Pokemon trainer. What i meant was that i think they'll end up replacing Red with Ethan (or as others call him, Gold) and have him use the Johto starters. However, i think it would be really cool if they just decide to keep both Pokemon Trainers in the game. Just imagine the fun we would have to play as two Pokemon trainers in a smash bros match. I think it would be fun to play as Red while someone else plays as Ethan (Gold) in a match.

We're not going to get a new Pokémon Trainer. That's pretty much a fact.

Red/Ash/whatever the heck he is (he's voiced by the same voice actresses who voices Ash in the Pokémon Anime), Charizard (especially; he's arguably the most popular Pokémon after Pikachu, and that's something even Sakurai has stated in the pre-Melee release poll thing), Squirtle, and yes, even Ivysaur are far more popular than any starter Pokémon after them.

Why replace far more popular, wanted, and liked characters with lesser characters=???

Also, we got way too few character slots to give them to another 3 characters. We'll be lucky to get a dozen newcomers, so why spend 25% of those spots on just another Pokémon Trainer and their 3 Pokémon=???

G'dizzle needs his Melee elusiveness and play style back, but with a new, kicking powerful moveset that really displays him as a super baddy. Hopefully we get at least some dark magic-based moves and possibly a move or two that involves one or two of his awesome swords.

Also, I have gone to smash tournaments with choknater, who has the 7th most posts, and that dude always has the biggest smile... except when he's playing. When he's playing, his face is freaking intense even though he's still super chill.

Lastly, lol at Dr. PP being #10 in the most posts.
