I first heard of the website back in early 2008 after the final roster was leaked (before then, paid attention to news on other websites). I did view the Smash 4 thread on occasions, although I never followed the scene actively until mid-2011. Created an account on October, 2009, but didn't post until February, 2010, played some Mafia games (in which I did poorly) and left after October, 2010.
How hard is making an 8-bit Mega Man game these days=??? Seriously, you could finish that in 6 months with more content than Mega Man 9 or 10.
I doubt it'd be hard to do, but I think the reason why we won't be seeing a new game this year is because Capcom recognize that the franchise needs to grow beyond being a run-and-gun game that the franchise is known for. It's why I'm expecting Mega Man games to change a lot when it comes back from "hiatus" (if you can even call it that given the release of Rockman Xover) so that the games could end up being profitable for Capcom again.
What about an 8-bit mega man styled game, but with better 2D graphics
I'd like to see a Classic Mega Man game done in 2.5D. A 3-D platform-action game with 3rd person shooter elements could also be really neat.
Actually wouldn't mind seeing that happen. 7's a lot better than most people give it credit for.
I haven't played the game (waiting for a probable Virtual Console release on the Wii-U) but I will say that 7 had one of the best soundtrack in the series. However, if we were to get a 16-bit Mega Man game, I'd prefer Mega Man to get the sprite from Mega Man & Bass.
That's the point of the picture. It's jabbing at stereotypes. The funny thing about Filia is that her art style is greatly influenced by 1920's-1940's animation. By this extent, Osamu Tezuka, aka the God of Manga, was greatly influenced by Disney's work which you can see in a lot of his works such as Astro Boy and the untimely ended Phoenix.
Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy) could be confused for a Disney series to the uninformed as could Kimba the White Lion (especially in regards to the controversy of the Lion King. The 1963 American dub of Astro Boy stripped away all Japanese reference to make it appealing to American audience (probably had something to do with World War II), so the confusion is especially present.
I've wanted to check out Tezuka products for over a year and part of the reason why I'm studying Japanese (though I've stopped due to being lazy, but I need to get back on that) is to be able to enjoy Tezuka's product in the native language (especially since many of Tezuka's product have never made it in English and that a lot of Tezuka stuff in English is censored or even butchered).
Star goes back further than me, in terms of consistantly being around (Not joining date). And I've been here consistantly since Jan, 1st, 2010
He used to have this Megaman villain as his avi, and that's how I remembered him. I remember when Oasis started showing up more, and I didn't like him initially. He had that Sukapon / Ridley duck avi.
I can vividly remember the first time I started to actively speculate in SSB4 back shortly before E3 2011. One of the very first post I remember was from ChronoBound in which he complained about the state of the Super Smash Bros. fan base and that he would not be returning for Smash 5. At the time, he had Crono as his avatar. As for Oasis_S, I think he had an avatar with just ducks on it.
How embarrassing, for the past 8 years, I've only been here for the equivalent of about 4 of them.
At least I joined pretty early, back when I was really into Melee and was trying to find tournaments with my bud, so my join date makes me look cool.
Weren't you around pre-Brawl for Ridley? From what I've seen, you were a prominent Ridley supporter.
Well, most of them are here except for Pieman. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he's lurking around somewhere.
Looking at his recent visit date, Pieman does seem to be lurking. He also commented via PM through GameFAQs that he would return once more information was revealed. Looking forward to this return for sure.
