Y'know, AZ, if you can't condone social groups, then I guess the Disco Room and the Back Rooms shouldn't exist, either. I mean, where's the fairness in that? I gotta donate money to the website? I gotta be hand-selected by an even more exclusive group of people?

If it's technical difficulties, that's one thing. But in the interest of "fairness" to other users? That's horse****.

• Keeps content from new users
• Creates division within the site (e.g. cool kids club) based on [insert random criteria]
• Moderation is difficult
• And it just didn't work with Xenforo and was a pain to get to work (this being the biggest)

I'm thinking maybe only allowing PR social groups though. Maybe.

I don't really see those reasons that much asides from it not working; just out of my curiosity, is it just installing the feature that was a problem or is keeping it around? Because if keeping it around isn't, I see no reason not to keep it just for specific groups (Just don't have everyone be able to make them)

I see why the groups were removed but I agree with Smooth Criminal. I think they are good because they pertain to a specific topic and allows more specific discussion and interaction between members. Rather than a broader, forum-wide group.

As current owner of the social group that people are most likely referring to, I am willing to hand over leadership to one of the four moderators (Mario_Sonic/Venus/Falkoopa/N3ON) and or Xiivi who are invited members, assuming social groups are kept but are limited to staff.

That said, your first three points are debatable so please let me know if you need any information about the previously mentioned social group so I can possibly sway any future decision on behalf of the invited members if keeping social groups isn't a problem/a continuing problem with Xenforo.

As a Japanese minor, I'd be up for that.
