Seeing the green graphical difference in Toon Link's spin attack kinda gives me the feeling they might implement the hurricane spin because that's the colour it made whenever you performed that attack in the Wind Waker. But it's probably going to work pretty much the same way as it did in Brawl and Melee (for Young Link)... :/

Hopefully, this week's daily pictures will reveal something interesting.
Personally, I'm curious about tether recoveries. I hope it will function similarly to Melee's implementation, where characters could grapple any where on the stage, rather that only being limited to only the ledge.
Yeah man, they need to get a grip on the recovery mechanics, any thing really to make Link's recovery better.

Dude I can't read your post without hearing John Madden.

That's good. I like how Young Link and Link's spin attacks were fairly different on the ground. In the air, they were the same, though.
I don't remember that in Melee. Can you tell me the difference?

Double Green Whirlwind Style!

...Sounds like the name of an amazing Shamrock Shake.
Or a bad Naruto attack.

Or maybe just a Naruto attack.

I hope we get Hurricane Spin. Always loved that move and the yell Link makes.

Is it me, or does it look like they're spinning towards their left and not their right? Could've sworn they always spinned their swords to their right. I mean it's not like the animation is flipped considering there has never been a need for that.

On the ground, Link's spin attack is a super one-hit powerful strike that sends them to the side. While Young Link's is essentially a combo move like Samus' Screw Attack that sends them up in the air.

In the air, they both hit the opponent multiple times, then send them flying. I think Link's might've send them in a different direction than Young Link's, but I forget.

I think you're getting it mixed up here, Hyper. In Melee, Link's Sword Spin was a multi-hitter on the ground. It was one of the better scrub moves in FFA's. In Smash 64, however, Link did not have that multi-hitting property but rather a single explosive strike.

Based off of the effects, I wouldn't be surprised if Toon Link's Sword Spin is changed to the Smash 64 version.

Man, I really hope whenever we get newcomers again there's someone even more bizarre than Miss Fit. I want that weirdness, that certain fan tears that comes with characters that ''waste" spots again.

Nope, Young Link's is the multi-hitter on the ground. Adult Link has the high-powered hit.

"Super Smash Bros. Melee
If used on the ground, Link will have a bit more range and opponents will be hit away quite a distance. If hit by the attack near the end of its animation, the hit acts as a semi-spike, making it a useful edgeguard technique. Young Link's version has less range, but will suck in opponents to deal several hits of damage, similar to Mario Tornado. If used in midair, the move is the same for both Link and Young Link; they will spin while moving upward, dealing a possible 5 hits, the last having considerable knockback to it, with Young Link's version being considerably weaker."

Apparently a lot of people on Miiverse were expecting today's 101st pic of the day was to show a The Wonderful 101 character. I for one wasn't

Lol, really?

I suppose they were expecting something from Super Mario 64 for the 64th pic of the day. :troll:

Grasping at serious straws...

Like your double post. :p

@AuraSage: Oooh. We may get a character today then. Honestly, I just want to see some Poke Balls.

I've been expecting nothing more than a bucket of beans and a Miyamoto fart in a jar with each picture of the day and I can say that I've been pleasantly satisfied with each picture.

Pokémon - NHK Reveal

Within the programme on the Japanese channel NHK, called The Professionals, in a special episode focusing on The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekaz Ishihara, a new game was showcased. They first showcased some images of a beta version of a sequel to Pokémon Trozei. In this, they showed a meeting discussing the various issues with the 3DS notably the top and bottom screen being different sizes, and the intent for it to be a download title. It's currently unclear on the status of this game. Still more to come so keep checking back
Edit @ 13:33: They're working on a detective game featuring Pikachu as a partner. This game has an alleged development cycle of 2 years, with release expected in 2015. A rare Pikachu is said to be the enemy within this game but they can't see people liking it. The game is to feature a special Blue Pikachu, which talks. The Pikachu is being controlled via motion capture and facial recognition
All this information is from early development, so it is probable that it will change should the game come out. - Serebii

A blue Pikachu? All of my maybes.

Ok, so does anyone else notice the new details on T.Link and the new LoZ stage are almost identical to the same type of additions found in Project M?

...oh and we're suppose to have news today regarding Pokemon, I think.
The secret Pikachu game is going to be a detective game. It's supposed to release in 2015 and will featuring an evil pikachu as the villain and a blue talking pikachu as a side character... I wish I was joking...

This will either be amazing or painfully bad. The voice and facial feature recognition features they hope to use could be really innovative but seeing how hard they dropped the ball with Hey You Pikachu and Pokemon Channel, I'm not all that optimistic.

Guess I'm the only one excited for Trozei.

I hope we get Hurricane Spin. Always loved that move and the yell Link makes.

I hope he gets the Hurricane Spin attack as well, it's kinda Toon Link's signature attack as only the Link's who shared Toon Link's design have ever performed that move in the Zelda series. Then again, not all characters in Smash use some of the moves they are infamous for using in their respective series....

It would have been nice if Toon Link could do it in this game though. His new spin attack does look like the Hurricane spin from the Wind Waker so I guess we will have to wait and see.... :/

The next Pikachu game/Pokemon Spin-off is going to be a detective game? Time to start working on a Looker support thread for next Pokemon rep. :troll:

I sent a bunch of level 1 Honedges on the Wonder Trade yesterday.

Damn Masuda method. Is it true that it only works for like the first 5 Pokemon that hatch? And if you don't get a shiny from those then any following ones have the same shiny rate as normal eggs?

Here's hoping we'll get Ace Attorney: Investigators 3, Pokemon.

Also, we need Detective Gum-chu. :troll:

Hold up, we need fanart of that...

I won't put my two cents bout that Pika game, but want to see footage of the game first, which won't be coming for quite a while. I just prefer to see gameplay then put my thoughts about it.

In other news, got me a cute Shiny Fennekin now. <3

As for the Masuda method, idk, but ensure you have your 2 Pokemon from 2 different regions, say like one of your own Pokemon with a Japanese one. It's more effective if it's the same pokemon with different genders, get your 1 Pokemon with Flame Body and start hatching eggs. Took me hours to get the Yanma and Fennekin respectively.

Mind you that Hey You Pikachu and Pokemon Channel were from around 10-13 years ago. Technology has evolved a lot since then so they could get it right.

No, I still refuse to believe that Pikablu is true after all these years! D:

Eh, if they actually kinda took what was done with those Looker Bureau side quests and made it better, I could maybe see that Pikachu game being decent at the very least.

You know what I'd want though? Wes from PKMN Colosseum as a badass detective.
