I never understood it, when others are being blunt, flippant, or sarcastic- folks register it right away. Approach them with reason however, nobody's got time for it.

Let me guess. You get some error code? Happened to me today.

All you gotta do is change your location first in your settings in the home menu. I changed mine to Alberta, Canada. I went into the eShop, accept the TOS. I was told that I'd be on a new balance due to the currency differences but went through with it. After you reach the main eShop menu, exit out of that and go into your location settings again to back where they were. You'll go through the whole TOS thing again and your balance will be restored. Go into the eShop's location settings to specify details like your zip code. Once that's done, you'll be able to download the game with no problems. Here's the video version that helped me.

Story of my goddamn life. XD

That's why I'm such a sarcastic asshole. Well, that and it's fun to be one. ¦3

Agreed. Can I high five you through the internet?

That's possible with today's Ipad technology right?

I know I wanted to high five folks but after your done the screen gets all greasy and fingerprint-y, then all your menus are F'd up cause its touch sensitive, I can't stand it!

Wii U is nice and all, I understand what Nintendo is shooting for, but I would love a GC styled controller.

I'm not even a fan on touchscreen phones. I loved my Galaxy S1...

You understand what Nintendo is shooting for? Please tell me, I have been looking around the internet and no ones seems to know what the hell Nintendo is thinking. They seem to be in their own little world. I would be interested in seeing what their plan is. Haha.

I'm not really a fan of touchscreen at all

it's convenient yeah but it also can be really annoying

especially touchscreen keyboards
They're only good for porn, really. :awesome:

Anyway, I just got a few more images to go to make my Super Smash Bros. 64 rumor/didn't make it in Roster.

Well from how they have been promoting the Wii U. They are trying to recreate that spark the Wii had with motion gaming in local party experience, only instead its with touch in the local party experience.

The issue is, most of the people that bought into the Wii have either moved on to tablets/mobile gaming or onto other systems. Nintendo is still focused on the local player experience, but they are slowly taking steps into incorporating online features in their games. Though, their idea of online features seems to consist of taking in-game pictures/screen caps and posting it in the Miiverse.

I'm curious as to who is making these. Hope he/she does the entire Brawl roster, just to see some nice HD renders.

Apparently Sakurai posting something insignificant on a completely random day automatically makes him a troll.
Says the guy who was freaking out harder than most a few nights ago, and makes a huge deal about them staying up late.

These fake images are surprisingly high quality. First Jigglypuff, next Ness, and now R.O.B.
Can you show me the Jigglypuff one or link it? I haven't seen it.

Also, that ROB does look good quality, but it really is saturated though.

Showed that picture of ROB to this guy, got some senseless bashing from him. Now he's thrashing Snake like he's got some personal vendetta against him.
I feel like the only person who had no problems with Brawl's roster, I'd be sad to see any of them leave.
A second guy started arguing about it as well, helping out the first guy. Then he said he doesn't know who Sakurai is and doesn't care. Laughing too hard right now.

I got no problem with Brawl's roster. It was honestly excellent.

It doesn't mean that any roster is perfect, though. But none of them were bad.

The Ness fake and this R.O.B. fake look really nice. I hope the genuine articles are similar! I wonder if they're by the same person? I'd like to see they're rendition of some more of Brawl's cast.

Speaking of cast, I'm not that worried about it. Whoever gets in, gets in, and whoever doesn't, doesn't. No amount of crying and hysterics (and petitions) from my direction can change that. For the moment I just want to know how it will play.

One thing I've never understand is why people get so anal about cuts anyway. Even if the character you liked is cut for whatever reason, that should be compensated by having new characters you'd potentially like and you'll still have the three dozen veterans to choose from even if the new stuff doesn't appeal to you. So what I'm saying is that there will always be an alternative regardless of the situation.

One thing to keep in mind is that even if the game isn't perfect to play, having great characters very much helps that. This is even more notable in the SSB series, as it's character-driven with multiplayer second(save Brawl, where SSE was high priority). Brawl's multiplayer was still freakin' excellent, though.

I think it comes down to balance for most. I wasn't all that happy about Sonic's Profile in Brawl, but after P:M came around I was satisfied indefinitely.

Its like having a set of assurances that a character you prefer has gets some fine tuning. For the most part however, I'm with you. I'd much prefer a cast of new characters for which to explore and expand my perception of things the Smash Universe can offer.

I feel that characters like Ganondorf exemplify what can happen when developers scrutinize on the basis of paying certain characters (franchises even) homage.

Below: ALL of my Rage. So many things wrong. What would be the ergonomic benefit to adding frilly paraphernalia to the design? Aesthetics is no excuse for wasting material.

If the only character I like or am interested in isn't in the game, why would I waste money on it? If the game doesn't have enough interesting content to go with how well it may or may not play, then it just doesn't have enough appeal. It's not confusing, it's perfectly logical. XD

Apparently the 40 other characters won't appeal to you in any way shape or form and one missing character is suddenly going to cause the quality of the games to falter? Wow, that's just sad.

You missed the point.

Some don't care how it plays. They just want the characters. The quality is irrelevant if the quantity is not there. That's the actual message.

So the message is to shove in as much junk as possible while disregarding all forms of quality, because only the quantity matters.

No, that's not the message. The message is to show off as much as you can with quality. Just some players don't care about the quality.

That's why a game with Nintendo's history in mind needs to be more quantity-based, since that's what makes SSB sell the most. The characters. Not their moves, just having them in as is and making them playable. Finally playing as Ganondorf outside of some kind of hack or hacked game was a godsend. Playing as Sheik is the same. Zelda is close depending the person(some may have liked the CDi versions of her, but who knows?), Bowser didn't get playable till later, every Pokemon could not be directly controlled save maybe Pikachu to an extent, and so on. Just being able to play as some characters was great for people. Especially when it's not just in a setting where everyone plays exactly the same(Mario Kart, Mario Party, even Sonic and the Black Knight's multiplayer, etc.)

I think the strategy of appeal is to choose characters on the basis of what will make people want to play the game, not on the basis of how much of the existing demographic to keep.

You're gonna buy Smash U/DS because there's something appealing about that iteration.

During Brawl's build up, no other character slot hit home more than the Pokemon Trainer.

If 3D World is any indication, you're both pretty much right.

If the game doesn't have enough interesting content to go with how well it may or may not play, then it just doesn't have enough appeal.
You know, I never found the smash ball or the bonus features all that interesting. Even without Mewtwo, I still played the **** out of Brawl. I'll never buy another game day one however.

I guess the difference in measure is whether you'll play the game and whether you'll buy the game.
*Spoilers*: they want you to buy it.

Probably for most since he was 3 characters in one. Not for me, though. I loved 64 and Melee for what they were but lost interest in Smash afterwards.

The only reason I even got Brawl was because Sonic was in it. XD
