Not only disgusting, but hypocritical as hell too. There's nothing wrong with watching MLP, but constantly shoving it to everyone's throats on the internet is disturbing.

I mean, there are a lot of guys that always bring up ponies at all times, even when they have nothing to do with subject at hand.
How many times was I listening to game soundtracks on YouTube and a brony says something like "This is <insert pony here>'s theme." and a flame war ensues? Believe me, it's not one or two.

^ A lot what I experienced with the TF2-fandom (Rubberfruit-jokes in Sonic-music and SLAP MY ASS when I want to enjoy Ratatouille's songs...)

I mean, I gave a try to MLP once and I have to admit, the series is VERY GENUINE and WELL-WRITTEN (though that's from only seeing one episode, but that's saying a lot.) But indeed, it's kind of a common problem shared with annoying fandoms though, they shoehorn some fandom everywhere with no hesitation.

Oasis: Exactly, I guess that's what I was also referring to. (-l.l-) (Meaning everything you said)

I though hope everyone has moved on about Imp(a)Vasion, including Diddy.

MLP: FiM is probably the best modern-day cartoon on right now

I don't follow the show religiously, but it is a legitimately good show

FE Awakening BTW, I love the Spotpass Units-feature. It lets you have both the old favourite units (if they're there) to your team and hell, CUSTOMIZE THEM to your liking as well. Yet they keep their stats and do more well reflecting how the functioned originally in their games in means of stats. (Just gave Florina Lethality and Nino's still OP as ever.)

Maan, I wonder if Smash Bros could be able to let us have "units" or something like that resembling characters from other Nintendo-games and somehow let us customize to our liking. Okay, impossible because everyone should have some kind of a moveset, but if they'd go expanding these mechanics and such...

Ah boy, brainstorming.

I think Smash 4 Wii U could very well end up being the worst selling game in the Smash Bros. series. Even they were to go all out with "shocking guest characters" I don't think it would be able to pull the kind of audience that Brawl got. Snake and Sonic are the two most popular non-Nintendo video game characters ever anyway.

If Sakurai wants to turn heads with Smash 4 it will have to some sort of really innovative game feature.

Woah Chrono, what's with sudden pessimistic thoughts? Smash though, it has always sold in some good way no matter what it turned out to be. Even Brawl which is sorta divided by people on was it amazing as a SSB game (some say yes, some say half-ly and some just say it's not)...

I think I might get your gist though with the currect newcomer selections being left and maybe trying to find some way to make the series not become unevolving or stale, but still. One thing though to keep in mind is that since Brawl failed at certain departments (single-player to some, online), these are going to be addressed and are to be improved to much, much better in SSB4.

Anyway, I'm very sure SSB4 won't disappoint, considering what info and ideas we were given.

I haven't watched it, nor will I. I've been so offput by the fanbase that I don't wanna give them a shred if praise. I liked Foster's and stuff. But at the same time I doubt it's as good as they say. Nothing can top classic Goofy cartoons, Loony Tunes, Dexter's Lab, Ed Edd and Eddy, and Megas XLR.

Lol, those actually exist? What a bunch oh whiny *******. A real man seizes what he wants himself. He doesn't cry about it like a little girl. Guess it suits them, watching a show for little girls and all.

Anyway, I think we've said all that beeds to be said about MLP. We should pdobably stop before this thread ALSO meets with a terrible fate.

Oh, and it's not that I dislike MLP because it isn't manly. I watched the first Season of K-On and enjoyed it.

I am not pessimistic in regards to the quality, I just think there is a good chance it will be the lowest selling home console Smash Bros. game. Brawl, despite burning the competitive Smash Bros fanbase, still ended up being the highest selling game in the series. However, I think the Wii having an absolutely massive install base played a part in that.

Despite the GameCube's small install base, Melee sold as high as it did for launching at the very beginning of the GameCube's life, bringing in the major characters for Mario/Zelda, and extremely positive word of mouth all throughout the GameCube's life.

Smash 4 will likely release when the Wii U was two years old. Brawl by comparison was released when the Wii was barely over a year old. So Smash 4 Wii U has the disadvantage of both a smaller install base and launching later in a console's life.

I think I see complete opposite on that. Wii U might have become very well evolved then and most of it's good features (if shown and received well) being released and used by the console. SSB4 taking an advantage of those features and overally finding much more to bring the best out of Wii U much better than Wii did with Brawl (as some features of it didn't really come out as "great", especially the online.)

Wii U also has somewhat small install base now but who knows if it turns totally up the notch after few months (if E3's any indication). In anycase, this is gonna be something big and might try taking more bigger advantage of the console. 3DS-version might also help tie-in the success of the console version the more it's connected to it in some way.

But yeah, now it's just up to what Sakurai and his team's willing to do to bring this package out and how brim it'll be filled from taking all advantages and features out of Wii U, while trying to deliver something unique yet engaging.

That's bs.

I left some trollbait in one of their vids and still to this day I get angry, hateful replies from those idiots. A lot of the "love and tolerance" stuff is a way for them to hide their insecurities. Most of them don't TRULY believe it, its just a new meme that will eventually die out.

The MLP fanbase is known for being overly sensitive, pushing it's ideals on people who don't care, and trying too hard to get accepted for having strange quirks. It's cool if people like their Pony****, but keep it to yourself man, people don't care. I seem to recall a South Park episode that talked about something similar...
Turns out I should have made my joke more obvious...

The "" between love and tolerance was meant to mock the fan base.

I thought bringing up religion was bad, but apparently now you can't discuss religion, politics, or multi-colored horses at the table.

We'll have to see whether or not Smash 4 will push units or not. And again, there's the economy.

Yeah Economy is in worse shape than in the Gamecube or even Wii era. Wii U's failure is that it doesn't have anything with it right now that makes you want to go buy it. I mean a lot of Nintendo fans are still content with the Wii. I will still continue to argue that Nintendo abandoned Wii too early and there was so much more software potential and new ideas available with motion controls that were not used but that is another subject.

If Smash Brothers plus other great titles came out, perhaps Wii U will sell and therefore by that time Smash Brothers will sell. I imagine there are many posters on here that still do not have a Wii U including myself and are waiting to see what Nintendo has to offer before making that investment.

You'd figure most men would be content having the scales tipped in their favor in every aspect of society; but noooooooo a bunch of immature losers just had to victimize themselves because things haven't gone their way in life. MRAs in a nutshell.

Custom movesets and skills/abilitues would make the game too wild and varied in a bad way. In game collectibles or features would be cool to unlock as long as they're not totally lame.

Great post I found on NeoGAF what may have been Metroid Prime/Dark Samus' motivation throughout the entire series. Really interesting read.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=37260555&postcount=66
That is a really interesting theory. I really loved the Prime series. Definitely my favorite Western developed games of all time. I much rather have had Dark Samus than Zero Suit Samus if we were to have had more than one character named Samus.

As for the Wii U, things look really bleak. The third-party support for it so far is looking worse than both for GameCube and the Wii. This might change come E3 2013 though.

They basically blew half of 2013 doing nothing for their console.

Pretty much. I think it's at times a total pain and big of a risk to hide all the good things planned for the console to be shown "in time", unless it's more of that the developers are getting started with seeing what they can do with the system.

Still, at the moment I haven't felt too interested to look more deeper to the console because there hasn't been much hooks to make me do so.

I have a Wii U, and to me I think the delays for some of the more notable games coming out like Pikmin 3 and Rayman Legends might of not been the smartest choices in the long run. May trough July seems to be quiet months for the Wii U.

I'll be busy with Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Project X Zone in June, so the wait for more Wii U titles is not going to be drastic. Hell, right now I'm preoccupied with Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed. Dat Vyse man...

I don't think being quiet until the middle of June, and saying nothing until the other two competitors are doing full unveils is a smart idea either.

They have been doing new game announcements for the 3DS every two months, they should really be doing that with the Wii U.

I think Nintendo should have a Nintendo Direct for their Wii U and 3DS line ups every two months.

I am really scratching my head about what Nintendo is doing with the Wii U.

Yay for more Vyse-fans (they must be everywhere~)

But indeed, I might be able to get enough money to buy Wii U this summer, but I really need some hook to get me in the console. (-l.l-)

EDIT: Keep those GameFAQs-fellas out of our discussion.

(And it's completed, not "dead.")

Right now, I am not planning on getting a Wii U. I am waiting to see what software is shown and announced for the console at E3 in order to consider it.

These next six weeks are going to be so slow.

Bobadz: I knooow, but I just can't bring myself getting it now since I'm kinda looking to what Wii U has to offer. As in WOW me. So far it hasn't (at least completely)

Just waiting until I find big reasons to get it, hopefully by E3.

Wii had a strong start, and it was sold out for months.
Try 2 years. I got mine day one, but camped out about 5 times over 2 years to help friends get theirs. That's something that I just don't see happening for any gaming system for another 20 years or so. I remember the first time I saw a wild Wii behind glass, had to take a picture of it.

Hey guys sorry I've been gone since I got Fire Emblem Awakening and I've been playing the heck out of it the past few days, got stuck at chapter 19, seriously who's smart idea was it to only allow me about 15 units in the battlefield and not being able to level up higher than 20 (The only one who does go higher is Marth, and with Marth I mean Marth and not you know who.) but at the same time allow my opponents to have about 50 units out. The computer is a cheating jerkbagel. But oh well, mini rant aside, I'm now a big fan of Anna since she reminds me of Flora except she kicks ass but doesn't drink tea and I think her lines are funny (Chrom and Lucina are cool too).

Anyway's what did I miss... besides the Pony and MRA discussion?

Hey now, don't you have any idea how oppressive it is not to have any leading male characters in one single show that wasn't even targeted at you to begin with. No, you're a woman, you wouldn't understand what it's like to have your gender marginalized like that.

Dark: Well yeah but I'm going to see 'em, Wii U's gearing up definitely in the future, but like I said, I'm leaving it to E3 to see how these new announcements are like, and determine out of seriously getting Wii U then.

It's a bit of an exaggeration to say that in no area the scales aren't either equal or in the woman's favor in certain aspects of society though..

"Many women who claim to care about 'inequality' are nonetheless champions when it comes to studiously ignoring the inequalities that favor themselves. What feminists refer to as the 'backlash' is not against women's gaining equality. It is against the fact that a lot of women are getting to have their cake and eat it too: equality when it's convenient, tradition when it's convenient."

So, how about that Smash Bros?

Who ****ing cares. Men still have plenty of opportunities. I mean, I'm no feminist, and I HATE feminazis. And while yeah, some places like the US can be so extreme at times it's scary. If you keep your wits about you, feminism can actually be a win for men too. I mean, think about it, all it means now, is that you are more likely to hook up with a girl who can support herself meaning there is less pressure on the man to raise a family, now it's a team effort. Hell, if you're real lucky, you might even get with a girl who has a strong career made out for her, like my uncle who married the president of MAC (make up company) and is now living in Manhattan, doesn't work and lives like a king.

Seriously, MRAs are ****ing pathetic.

Obviously me, or I wouldn't have said something. And I'm sure plenty of people on the side of being reasonable do not wish to make statements that are simply not true. I don't care to give men rights or whatever, that's not my intention. My only agenda is, you know, making sense.

Also there isn't much to talk about regarding Smash that you guys haven't already covered, welcome conversation of any kind. XD Unless its heated of course.

Ahh, I didn't mean to come off as a prick, sorry dude. Just had a **** day, and I took it out on you. I know what you mean, and I'd normally agree, but today I'm just so heated I basically don't care about anything...

Once again, sorry dude.
