Also a lame *** Other M stage? W/e Sakurai, where's my Skytown Elysia?

We got two Metroid stages in Brawl. At least the Other M stages might be out of the way now for an MP3 stage.

The way I see it, we have three possibilities.

1. Ridley confirmation soon.
2. Ridley is a stage hazard.
3. Sakurai is simply commenting on the stage's importance to the series and nothing more.

I have no idea which option is the likely one...

I really can't think of any opportunity for a Ridley confirmation to happen other than Gamescom (again Nintendo has never done anything special for that, and I doubt Sakurai even knows of its existence).

I am pretty angry at Sakurai. I am sure though there is going to be hundreds of sychophants who will defend Sakurai's decision to make Ridley a stage hazard though.

No matter what happened, I will try my absolute best to remain optimistic! Any way things come out it does go to show that at least Nintendo is well aware of Ridley! And that's all good

The only thing that's lame about that stage is that it's causeing a lot of concern for Ridley's inclusion as a playable character.

It may be lame in your opinion, but I think it looks epic.

Well, it's not the eyecandy that is Skytown Elysia, that's for sure...

Also, I'd advise most of you not to look TOO deeply into Sakurai's quote. Remember that you're probably looking at a Japanese translation, thus any subtle implications that were there originally are gone, and replaced with new ones that may or may not be true, you, it gets "lost in translation" and all that jazz.

I'm just saving most of you the headaches to come is all.

If Ridley is playable, then good, Sakurai found reason to include him; great for us.
If Ridley's a stage hazard, then oh well. It's disappointing, but at least Sakurai acknowledges that Ridley has to appear somewhere that isn't just a cameo.

There is no sense for condemning Sakurai over it.

I just try to not let it get to me. Dude's been pulling our leg with Ridley since Melee, he might just be riding on that to keep the fans on the edge of their seat.

I suppose this might be the Ridley stage, kinda like someone else had said for the Halberd in Brawl was for MK. And like N3ON said, we're likely to get another Metroid stage, one that may be more general. This stage would be a good stage for it to be HIS stage, I mean since Norfair was in Brawl and all.

Meaning, if we get 3 Metroid stages, does that mean they could be:
>This Other M stage
>Skytown Elysia
>Brawl Norfair/Melee Brinstar Depths?

I'd be ok with that.

I think I see an orange dot, but Ridley's eyes in Other M are green, and they wouldn't use Ridley's normal design if he was a hazard there.

It's the Spider-Man 3 situation from way back all over again. There were a bunch of fans who could swear they saw Venom in Spider-Man's eyes.

Though I do see a hint of purple in the hole too. </3

Even though Ridley isn't on my top 30 character wishlist (I don't hate him at all, it's just that he doesn't interest me), I'm nervous and getting adrenaline on Ridley's fate.

Being a native bilingual, you don't even know just how much is lost when you go from English to Spanish or vice-versa, and both of those have Latin roots. Now imagine just how much is lost from Japanese to English... Especially since both are very subtle languages. From the little Japanese I already know, I can tell you a whole lot is indeed lost in regard to subtlety.

It's probably JUST the glow THEN Ridley comes out if he is a stage hazard from the whole.
