I've been gone for awhile, nothing happened to me, it's just that my friends and I got Castle Crashers from the Steam Summer Sale and we've basically been playing that for the longest time. Anyways, I just had to come here to say how freaking amazing that stage is,

Well I hope an Uprising stage shows up on the WiiU too. They're so amazing they seem wasted only on the 3DS, they would look outstanding in HD. Also I hoped for Pandora's Labyrinth Of Deceit but that looks awesome too so, well.

Uprising is for handhelds but the KI level in Brawl was suppose to be a NES one,Sakurai could easily make it look great.
Have you seen the 3D classic version of Kid Icarus? They gave it cool backgrounds!

I was thinking the star spin from galaxy. Idk what they were thinking when giving Mario a move that does no damage and is only good for edgeguards on 2 characters.

Changeable stage backgrounds IMO would be a good idea. Instead of having the regular battlefield background every time you can change it to battleskiff or something.

That would probably never happen though.

Mario being middle tier was completely fine, as long as they bring back the tornado instead of flood.

*now imagines Viridi's chances to be playable increased* It's possible, right?
It actually essentially deconfirms her. But I think the fact that she is prominently featured in a stage is great representation.

I guess he's still not going to be viable then. Which is better though? 64 Mario or Melee Mario? I'm not sure
I'd say Melee, because starting in Melee, he could reflect projectiles with the Cape. It also helped his recovery and can flip opponents around during physical attacks.

You know his cape does all that and more in Brawl?
Yeah, I know, but he asked between Melee and 64 Mario. And the cape started in Melee. Therefore, I think Melee Mario is better than 64 Mario.

I'm not worried. We just gotta see this stage in action via gameplay, and more of our questions will be answered... followed by new questions. :p

I'm betting you a million bucks that the Underworld from the first Kid Icarus will be on the Wii U version.

OK. It has the SSB logo emblazoned on it, so.. I can't really say if it's from Punch Out or what. Pokemon Stadium didn't have the logo. It had its own logo. Well, that said, I'd still really like Little Mac in Sm4sh.

Edit: First post of the 1000th page :awesome:

Maybe if it had ANY reference to Punch out I'd believe you

It's a boxing ring, yeah. They box in punch out. But there is no references to Punch Out at all

Posting on the 1000th page.

Anyway,

@Iblis

You said something about Mario's cape doing more in Brawl than in Melee, what more can it do in Brawl, I don't recall it getting new features, I mean it's already hands down his best move.

Anyway, I agree P:M Mario is the best Mario, as is the case for many characters actually, such as Zelda, Lucario, Lucas, Ness, Link, DK and a couple others. I wish Sakurai would take notes from that mod.

Maybe because it doesn't have the WVBA logo or any other reference to punch out in it

This post in the Little Mac thread gave me all of the evidence I need to make a bet that it's a Punch-Out!! stage.

Somebody on gamefaqs posted this. The stars are what sinks it for me. It is absolutely a punch out stage. Does that mean we will absolutely 100% get little mac? No but this does increase his chances I'd imagine. The punch out games had a bunch of "Circuits" to fight though this one is a "Super Smash Bros. Circuit" if you will. It's actually pretty darn clever.

First off, the audience is human, so you can rule out any possibility that this is a Kirby themed stage (all Kirby boxing rings have Kirby characters instead). The marquee's in the background are all dot styled, which is consistent with the marquees in Punch Out Wii, and even the title screen and round indicators for Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

All logos in Punch Out Wii are adorned with clusters of stars, which are usually in 3's because triple star punches are the most powerful punch in the game, as well as the "leaf vines" on the sides (forgive me; I don't know the term for this) and a ribbon at the top. The logo in the ring, while being smash themed, shares all of these characteristics.

The ring ropes are also identical in both color and configuration as the Major Circuit ring in Punch Out Wii. Similarly, the corners are all identical colors and positions as the Punch Out Wii corners.

Also, it's worth noting that the final fight in Punch Out Wii, Mr. Sandman, has a very particular entrance for both his Title Defense and Contender fights. He approaches the ring while there's a green laser light show that goes on behind him. Well, check this out...

Same green laser show.

It would be real silly to think this is not a Punch Out themed stage. There is an abundance of intentional details that suggest otherwise.

Nobody has proven to me it's not based on the ring you fight Dedede in in Kirby Superstar.
Well if it was Dedede's ring, tbh it would probably be a bit more cartoony and closer to how the ring looked in the Kirby games (there are a lot of differences), but most of all if it was from Kirby... there probably wouldn't be actual people cheering in the stands... there'd be Kirby characters.

yeahhh... i only posted cause i thought i would get the 1000 page first post... profound sadness...
Don't worry, when someone from the first 999 pages inevitably has one of their posts deleted, you'll be on top of the page. ;)
(ofc if two people do, you'll be on page 999 ;))

It doesn't matter what game the boxing ring's from it still looks awesome, and that's all that matters.

What other stage in Smash did they replace all logos from the game with the SMASH symbol?

I don't see why they would do that

Easy. It's the "Smash Circuit." That's the only explanation they'd need to give.
