I heard that Vergeben said loz talks **** and loz said Vergeben talks ****. So well.. in my case both talk **** and the only thing i trust is currently the first neogaf leaked before he made a new account
It could work. Chrom having much of Roy's kit minus his up b makes me believe that Isabelle's neutral b could pull out random fruit instead of pocketing. It would reuse some animations of Villager's without making it too drastic of a change
But isn't isabella like a tutorial character or something? She doesn't seem like she does much in the games, so she's like Ashley in that way.

honestly, if the theme of this game is heroes vs villains then Soren being their for Ike fighting a boss black knight makes sense

TBF I don’t think Megaman’s inclusion in Smash was what sparked MM11 but rather the overwhelming amount of support Mighty No. 9 received. Capcom saw how willing people were to throw money at a project they barely knew anything about and wanted to take advantage of that.

Hey, yeah I think Isabelle could work as a Villager Echo based on what we know of Echoes from this point forwards. And she is basically the face of AC so getting her in would be perfect for Sakurai. And if she's not unique, that leaves the door open for someone else from the speculation scene.

sorry to bother you, you do such good work on the supporter list but there's a very slight typo with my name on the list. The K at the end isn't capitalized on the list, when I traditonally have it capitalized in my username. If you could change it in the next update of the list, I would be super grateful!
Isabelle is the only other AC character I can see being a fighter. It's bizarre because seeing Isabelle legit beat the crap out of someone is something I don't think anyone could of seen.
Just a note; being the "face of the series" isn't going to be enough to get you in, unless it's a new franchise. Isabelle being the face only is great for promotional purposes, not for Smash. Her fanbase is what'll matter, since he's trying to cater to fans this game. But being the face? Considering Villager represents the most important parts of AC, that isn't enough to matter for her. What she does when playable will matter, if she's in.
i'm more in the middle now. I can see why she seems like a illogical choice, but i also see why people want her in.
I think the issue is her being an Echo feels like a downgrade to what she can bring. With Villager doing a perfect job of representing AC as is, having her an Echo doesn't add anything beyond a character playable. You can do nearly the same thing with a Mii Costume at that point. However, as long as she has differences, and a personality that fits her(that is, she's not violent), it might work. Displaying personality doesn't matter whether you're an Echo, Alt Costume, Clone, Semi-Clone, or Unique. That's just animations and sounds.
Honestly, the more playable characters the merrier, but it just makes way more sense for Isabelle to be an assist trophy. Correct me if I’m wrong but she’s a secretary, literally her job is to assist. Doesn’t she also mention that she doesn’t like conflict? It just seems like an odd pick, relevancy aside.

Can't argue with that. But that falls under the "we want her playable" as in she's super popular. That's fair.
One thing to note is she could use toy versions of those, but I forgot about the Bowling Ball. An ax is one thing... I honestly think she'll be unique if playable, but I can't deny she can use all of that either, so...
This is what I'm saying, though I suppose he'd justify it by saying at least the franchise is active. I think it's nonsense, but it's strange because he's clearly been right about other stuff.

Exactly. We have the original face to perfectly represent the core point to the franchise. Her being a face just doesn't matter at that point. Her being popular, on the other hand, does.

I agree it's a stretch, but yeah, it absolutely looks like the same idea.It certainly does look like it, but it's also a very JRPG type of camera view. It's also cool how they all are RPG characters as the partysome people treat zelda as one for whatever reason
