So we have Rathalos and 3 heroes having the exact same stance as in Golden sun, then for some reason we have a list of assist trophy.
The assist trophies might be a reference to Isaac status as an AT.
Since he is missing from the list it could mean that he is no longer an AT

Looking at it, it really does look like a battle from Golden Sun. Maybe it is a hint from Sakurai? Man, this is making me sweat like crazy since Sakurai is always giving out extremely vague hints.

A supporter to Isaac is still a supporter no matter how low he may be, he is still on the list. Heck, I am an Isaac, Geno, Lloyd, Skull Kid and Ray MK III supporter. As well as K.Rool, Ashley and Lyn before the direct.

Personally, I always thought having Tom Nook as Villager's echo made the most sense since he sells Villager all the equipment he/she uses. I would want Isabelle as a fighter that used items that Villager either doesn't use like the hammer and the fishing rod or uses very little like the gardening can. She could also do normal secretary stuff like falling with papers in her hand similar to Villager's dash attack or splash coffee like a mad man. Just my two cents, though.

Though I wouldn't have an issue with Mr. Resetti being in as well.
On another note, he coincidentally has the ability to bring unique stuff to Smash. How fitting.
Likewise, Mr. Resetti couldn't do what Villager does. Isabelle clearly can, but I feel she wouldn't. Well, not as a simplistic Echo like Lucina. Villager is clearly designed to be a bit darker than the series shows, with a little bit of happy-go-lucky. Isabelle is all about being happy-go-lucky. If you make her items toy-like, and keeps her always a happy/fun expression, she would feel more accurate. I'd like a different moveset, but at least this feels like it wouldn't clash too hard with her personality of "no way she would deliberately hurt someone". If she thinks it's all fun and games? Perfect! But an accidental fighter doesn't make sense. She'll figure out she's hurting someone and wouldn't like it. She's very very smart. Not that I don't think she could lack a dark side, but still, her own personality in Smash establishes her as someone who wouldn't want to hurt others. She shies away from fighting. I think Sakurai will work her personality in to keep this trait.

Back to Isaac, I'm unsure how much I want his weapons to show up. I mean, his signature weapon is a sword, so at least some usage. This isn't like with Ganondorf who didn't officially use a sword till WW.

This definitely looks a lot like the Golden Sun battle layout. When I first saw this though, it just looked like any regular old monster encounter to me. If this really is a hint towards Isaac, it's pretty subtle. I don't think this means anything, but it would be pretty neat if it turned out that Isaac was next to Shulk, out of sight, or something like that.It certainly does look like it, but it's also a very JRPG type of camera view. It's also cool how they all are RPG characters as the partysome people treat zelda as one for whatever reason
This just feels like reading too much into things for me personally. I don't want to get hyped up thinking that Isaac is really in, believing all these hints, and then ending up being disappointed if he isn't.

Not to mention, this sort of thing is too innocuous for most people to even realize unless you've played the Golden Sun games for yourselves. To get the vague hint, you would have had to have played the games, beaten them to get the 'fighting the dragon' hint as the final boss. And then to top all of that off, be on the inside track of constantly having ATs on the mind - either being deconfirmed by them or being mysteriously absent like Sm4sh. If this is a hint, it's the perfect amount of to go between either being 100% right on the money or a tinfoil hat loony bin conspiracy theorist. It's just... too mind blowing for me. I need to sleep it off just to get away from it for now.

That's fair, I really don't want to think is confirmed until we see it is confirmed. Better to keep our minds into that state of Isaac will most likely be an Assist Trophy without hindering our expectations of it and being even more disappointed by the end of it.
I agree 100%, we need to contain our hopes and excitement for if it actually happens. Let's keep it up on the supporting though, cause I am going after Nintendo full throttle at this point.

The difference is that's a generic lazy pose that DK is in.
This is a bit more obvious, though it does appear in multiple games as a design style. I'm not taking it as a hint myself, but it's not just some generic thing.

It does seem somewhat notable that they went with a Camelot style camera angle, but it's probably nothing.(Edit: Yes. You are correct. This behind-the-character style isn't a trait shared with golden sun, but rather Camelot's RPG's.)
I do think it's kinda interesting how we're seeing more things that remind us of Golden Sun. Like the sun in K. Rool's trailer. I mean I know it's just a sun.... but it was a BIG sun. They were practically slapping us in the face with that sun.
I just think it's interesting that we never really saw imagery that reminded us of Golden Sun in the lead up to the last Smash game. (and its not like we were any less eager to see what we wanted to see back then)

Exactly. People are looking into something that isn't there.
This "hint" for Isaac has a bit more meat to it.
Then again, the red eyes thing before the Direct had a lot of guesses, which some came true, so it's not like we can't get deliberate hints. People just have to remember that some are simply normal things while others are a bit weirder.
