To be fair, Isaac could work in so many ways. It's why I wanted him in Smash Bros. You could have a whole moveset with just his blade alone (albeit a bit boring). With the Move/Pound and many Djinn abilities, he was the one character I thought should have been in before any others as he was a perfect match for Smash Bros.
And considering we'd probably only ever get just one Golden Sun rep, it means he is not limited to just the Earth Djinn too which elevates his potential. He really is a Golden fighter

Honestly, I can totally see this. One of the things Isaac has going for him is his psynergy for his moveset, which sets him apart and makes him unique. He’ll probably still have his sword, just not use it a whole lot. Another thing, we saw from Simon that they put his actual stance from Castlevania in the game. Anyone else hoping that if Isaac gets in, he has his battle stance?Isaac does not even need to use his sword.

I've thought of something like this before, too. Maybe he could even have a summoning special that would allow him to do a stronger summon depending on how many djinn attacks he has used. The only problem with that is that Judgment would probably be too OP for a regular special attack.Isaac does not even need to use his sword.

I saw a suggestion somewhere that Isaac’s clapping animation for when he loses is just two giant synergy hands haha.

I almost feel like it makes more sense to not give him the super sword from either game. It would emphasize the fact that Isaac doesn’t need his sword to be powerful to get the job done, unlike the other sword users.
Plus Gaia blade and Sol Blade are entirely optional super weapons. Master Sword/Falchion/Monado are kind of integrated into the story of their respective games.

the more i look at ballet estimation, the more i think that characters like Isaac could be in the game.
I don't think the echo fighters like Dixie, Shadow, and Bandana-dee are going to compete with isaac.
The only fighters i know that could rival Isaac's popularity are Geno, and Skull Kid. (In japan, he rivals Paper Mario and Custom Robo.)

It would not surprise me in the slightest if they used the Ballot to decide the characters of this game. The japanese Smash Ballot website (iirc) even says it will be used for future games too

I mean, most of these characters so far don't really seem like "relevant" choices, so i can only see these choices as anything but choices from the ballot.

It's why I feel more that a Sun/Moon/Stars like Direct would be really cool to show off Isaac, Skull Kid and Geno respectively. It makes too much sense.
I do have to vent a bit though. The idea of Isaac being as a PC is a double edged sword. If he gets in, it will blow the entire community away, if not...well, I just don't know. If he's not a PC, why are they not telling us now? It's quite infuriating.
Of course, I can't give up hope. We've come this far. And despite all our predictions, Sakurai STILL manages to surprise everyone. He's pretty hard to predict. At least, I think so.

I started to tweak the moment Chrom was revealed. I love Chrom but let's face it there were many characters more overdue then him and Dark Samus. K Rool clinched the theory as we all knew by now Nintendo knew we wanted Ridley. But K Rool? I could see him being outvoiced by others like Inkling and Ridley.
It's the belief that gives me hope for Isaac

I mean i could totally see Tree House Members looking into smashboards because they play smash themselves. If so, they could go to Sakurai and say "Yo Mr. Sakurai San. Let's face it, Chrom hasn't been relevant since awakening. Ridley hasn't made an appearance since Other M. Dark Samus hasn't made an appearance since Prime 3. K.Rool hasnt appeared since 64. And Castlevania? Need i explain Konami's poor management?
Lol, i'm sorry. Let me fix that.
I see some resemblance to Kirby. But Like Dark Samus, i think changing a few things like his float and gobble ability with something else, as well as kirby's kicks with Dee's spear attack would be decent enough ideas.
Though, take my view of Bandana-Dee with a grain of salt.

I completely agree and we can go further. Krystal is a clear example of not being relevant either. Plus if you read the US Smash Ballot, it says your suggest COULD have a place in the Wii U game. Never said they would release them all on Wii U. My guess? They used Bayonetta as an excuse for the Ballot, found she was high voting (perfect excuse) and used it as the perfect source of roster characters
Why? One good question can answer that. What characters actually can be made from the Wii U era minus Elma, Captain Toad and Inkling? There aren't that many at all.

I don't really support the character but I do think it would a shame if that's all they did for Banana Dee. I don't think actual fans would be too happy either but you never know Sakurai could do it.

This is basically what gives me hope beyond anything else I've seen thus far. The timing is just there for an Isaac inclusion. As far as new games, Inklings made sense, but anything after that was simply too late. In reality, this only leaves a handful of choices to pick from. Being that is the case, they turned to the ballot for wants from the fanbase which they included. Isaac was already on the shortlist in Sm4sh days along with the characters you listed above. Many others are in the Echo category. With one more video presumably before a release date, how many more characters and echos are revealed for the full cast?
2 Newcomers 2-3 Echos? That's been the general trend from the past two vids. Maybe we get a final blowout of 3 Newcomers and 4 Echos? If there truly are 2-3 newcomers left and Isaac isn't there, I'm baffled.

spoke with JC from the Treehouse during Comic Con, who said "treehouse tentacles are all over the net" and that such feedback does get relayed to Sakurai. I'm inclined to believe they've their finger on the pulse of at least a few notable online Smash communities.That said, anything that happens within any online Smash hub likely pales in comparison to the ballot results.

Would "relevant" characters be safe and uninteresting?
Because, imo, the best thing about smash is it's ability to revive dead franchises, or cast the spotlight on smaller franchises. Mega Man, Little Mac, Duck Hunt Duo, Shulk, Marth, Ness, Captain Falcon, Pit have all become much more well known because of smash and their franchises benefited.

Not many and that's the point. Nintendo pushes themselves in a corner. As a result they needed to think on their feet this time. Smash 6/7 will be set as the Switch (and Ballot) offer then many new characters. But the Wii U I think they are relying on the Ballot to guide them

Nintendo is definitely aware of what's going on in Smash communities to some extent. That being said, I have more faith in Isaac's ballot performance than I do in Nintendo employees happening to notice that he's popular nowadays on boards like here and GameFAQs. If anything is going to get Isaac into Smash, I think it will be the ballot.
That said, anything that happens within any online Smash hub likely pales in comparison to the ballot results.

The wii u had to rely heavily on smash, and because of that, not many characters from the wii u era were that memeorable, even worthy enough to get into smash, or was already in smash.
That said, i gotta know if ritcher was popular in the ballot, or was it because of how easy it was to make an echo fighter.

Hey guys, for those of us who have been factoring Vergeben's roster claims into consideration, most people seemed to believe that Isabelle would be a unique newcomer. We've also been speculating under the potential of four more unique newcomers.
So Vergeben's just confirmed his Isabelle source claims she's an echo. Which means that she won't take up one of those potential four newcomers slots if that theory is to be believed.
So Isaac's chances just got another boost if Isabelle really is definitely in the Echo category.

Well I mean, Isaac is kinda the "bad" guy in the first game, but that is stretching it
Leak or no leak Smash Ultimate (I wish I could just say smash U but with the wii u and all) is going to have at least something with GS in it.

If they were going to bring him back as an AT they could have done it with the last direct.
Yeah I can see the next/final smash update being 3 newcomers and 4 Echos
That would give us 70 fighters
Plus I see Echos being a thing with future DLC
Maybe 2 Echos and one new fighter sometime in the future.
Gives them time to see what are the final characters people want.
