Back to the topic of the thread, If you could have 3 specific music tracks from golden sun in ultimate, which ones would they be?
Mine would be saturos theme, venus lighthouse theme, and the golden sun rises!

What would Djinn actually do if confirmed to be an item on the battle field?

I was thinking they would "enhance" characters in different ways if captured. All the djinni will also attempt to run/fly away from you if you try to get them.

Jupiter could give higher jumps for better recovery
Mars could have the character leave a trail of fire wherever they walk and land
Venus could make characters heavier so they can't get knocked around as easily and maybe make them cause quakes if they jump around and land.
Mercury could gradually heal whoever gets them

Leaks are always gonna be a part of Smash speculation whether we like it or not. Luckily, everything that was revealed at E3 came as a surprise to me and I wasn't spoiled prior to that fortunately. Having no Smash info for quite a while leaves people thirsty for anything. I am so thankful that K. Rool and Ridley got konfirmed when they did or else I would be nervous as hell wondering with all these leaks if they were to make it or not. I still think that Dixie and Isaac are two of the most likely to get in at this point. Of course, we don't know when the next trailer will drop. Have faith guys. Our time is coming.

For a more serious response, I'd think as items you can pick up the djinn and press A while holding it to unleash its attack. Each element would have one generic unleash (since djinn generally have unique abilities) so for example the mercury djinn would bring out Sleet's effect, something like that

The people in this topic need to dial it back. Isaac fans were know for being levelheaded and "chill" compared to most other massive fanbases. Even if there are only 2-4 characters left in the game, you need to realize how much of a phenomenal game Ultimate has been. It brought back every single character, finally brought in Ridley and K. Rool, Castlevania finally got the recognition and content it deserved. The roster is one thing this game should not be criticized about.

I think the thread outsiders though need to understand that Isaac is becoming the new "Ridley/K Rool". Both Ridley and K Rool were "never ever's" whose fanbases were insulted for expecting them to finally become playable in Smash. Now that they're in, negative people just latch onto the next most wanted retro characters like Geno, Skull Kid, and of course Isaac.

I don't think the majority of Isaac fans are used to being in the spotlight of negativity, if that makes any sense.

As long as Isaac is not an Assist Trophy, there is always the possibility for him to be DLC. We have only two months left until the game's release, and the Direct revealing the rest of the game's roster will likely be at least before then. Just be patient.

However, keep in mind Sakurai has given us repeated warnings about how many characters are left. He first told us at E3 not to expect too many new fighters compared to other games. He then told us after Simon, Richter, Chrom, and Dark Samus were confirmed, that not only he planned to reveal every fighter before the game's release, but also that there are only "a few" more fighters left to show off. He said this before K. Rool and Isabelle were confirmed. With this in mind, there is likely only 2-4 characters left in the game.

Incineroar and Ken are likely among those final two (Ken has actually been leaked), and anyone that knows anything about the Pokemon Company, knows that a Pokemon newcomer is coming even in a limited newcomer scenario. The question is whether there will be another two newcomers after this. There are plenty of candidates for an additional echo (namely Shadow, Octoling, and Impa), and an additional unique newcomer can be anyone from Geno (whom Sakurai has personally said he wanted to see playable) to Elma (whose game was prominent when the roster was being decided).

The unfortunate fact is that things do not look well for Isaac's prospects on the base roster. A possible two slots after Incineroar and Ken, and likely only one of them being a non-echo slot, means an incredibly uphill battle for Isaac to be on the base game's roster. Heck, there is a decent chance that there are no two additional slots after Incineroar and Ken.

At this point, I would not be concerned about whether or not Isaac makes the base roster, but whether or not Isaac reprises his role as an Assist Trophy. If he does not, DLC is a strong possibility especially if that rumored Golden Sun 3DS title is actually happening.

Just do not be angry and have a meltdown if Isaac does not make the base roster. Remember there is always DLC.

Slot count is debatable. I think nailing it down to min of 2 max of 4 is a very restrictive range. If they had intended on doing a second direct, and perhaps had something else set aside for right before launch, then i'm not sure if 2 will cut it unless the single player content is absolutely massive. Not saying i'm not grateful for the content we have already gotten, just that it's okay to have slightly higher predictions then super conservative estimates to the degree of 'only 2 left' I for one subscribe to blog theory, which indicates probably 5. But even if that's completely wrong I think 2 and that's it is far to little to keep the hype train rolling if Spirits is just an over glorified boss battles mode.

I employ a hope for the best, prepare for the worst mentality when it comes to characters I want. I won't have a meltdown if he's not in the game, I have no idea where the idea that we would came from save for...ironically gamefaqs. There wasn't a single slight realistic glimmer of hope he'd be in the game till the August direct. I had steeled myself to the assumption that his relevancy would murder any and all chance of an inclusion. That, among other reasons. Is why I didn't log back into smashboards the second the ultimate hype train started. However K rool tore that assumption of mine to shreds, giving me the hope necessary to say "Yeah let's go back to smashboards, and start touting Isaac again" if I end up back to square one, well honestly it'll sting given that we're closer now then ever before. But I wouldn't whine like some Waluigi fans did. I don't think many Isaac fans really would.

We're used to disappointment. We aren't gonna throw a fit.

Two cents: Vergeben should've expected this. This is Smash, the reach of this franchise is unbelievably astronomical. Legit, this is just the Captain Zack / Lima EVO Grand Finals situation but continuing far longer than it any should. Does he have a right to be mad? Of course. Did he go about it the completely wrong way and should've worded things much better? Yes and yes. There really isn't any arguing about this, it's common ****ing sense.

At the end of the day, really only an anonymous 4chan, Nintendo themselves and Loz18 have leaked stuff about Smash Ultimate, y'all should direct your grievances over to those guys.

As a big thread, we get polarizing conversation topics from time to time. Overall I think everyone is laid back and chill for the most part.

One thing that would be kinda cool to see in a new GS is if they expanded on the idea of Colosso. Maybe make there being optional challenges in it of various difficulty levels. Maybe there could be a Colosso for adepts where psynergy is more encouraged.

That would be cool. It would be a great way to extend Golden Sun. : D Having more things to do would be great like a mini game like some bowling game or something.

I agree that Verge credibility is questionable and he shouldn't be acting the way he is now. Let's not have leaks get

So don't give up on Isaac. I don't think the universe of Golden Sun would be as fondly wanted to be represented to be in Smash if it wasn't for the passion of the fans.

Honestly with how merciless and swift the de-confirmation came on Waluigi, Takamaru, Ashley, Bobmerman, Krystal, Zero, Knuckles, Shovel Knight, and Sukapon came, all of which were characters with mid tier, to upper mid tier, or even lower high tier amounts of fan support, I have a hard time believing Isaac wouldn't have been among them already. Isaac is obviously high profile enough to AT LEAST be an assist, and with that in mind, would it have not been wise to be just as swift and merciless? He's an assist that would funnel speculation a lot. People would focus moreso on geno, or potential modern characters like Rex or Springman. But the fact that he hasn't assuming he isn't an assist, has only served to divide the fans in terms of speculations and desire.

But I believe that Sakurai would know that already. He would have the foresight to know that holding onto a high profile assist for that long would only make the damage of thier deconfirmation hit harder then anyone else, that's probably why they debuted Assist's WITH Waluigi, arguably the most supported assists to be promoted going into Ultimate from 4. And don't tell me they wouldn't put him in the game at all. They have to acknowledge his popularity made evident by the ballot.

It's for that reason I believe Isaac was an edge case. An extreme edge case. Any fewer votes then he probably recieved, and he wouldn't have made it. But he got just enough to push him past fellow ultimate assist's, Bomberman, Krystal, etc. Into a playable character. No other explanation makes sense to me. He was certainly more popular in the ballot then Bomberman and Krystal, so where is his assist? The answer is that he's playable. Otherwise he'd have had his assist debut in the E3 demo, or the august direct at the latest.
