Yeah among other things, the five unknown stages is always the thing I keep in mind whenever discussion starts cycling back to Incineroar and Ken being the last two characters. I don't see why Sakurai would have a segment dedicated to stages with an official count, and he reveals all but five, unless they'd be obvious spoilers to some unrevealed newcomers.Well, that was an interesting 3 or so pages to read through, anyways back to our Golden boy Isaac. (I love how my phone now auto corrects “Golden” to always be capitalized now!) lol
Personally for me Isaac is 100% playable until proven otherwise by none of those five hidden stages being Golden Sun related! I’ve already stated how it makes no sense to hide them unless they are directly related to newcomers or the hidden mode.
As has been stated by many, most of us are still very confident in Isaac’s inclusion. I completely understand if some might have lost a bit of hope but to those I simply say to not only remember the 5 more stages but also the new trademark back in August that covered all possible forms of DLC. Clearly something Golden Sun is coming!
Heck I don't even see how a ballot with almost 2 million votes manages to not have a single new first party series franchise character other than Splatoon place well? Not buying that Splatoon is the only new Nintendo franchise Ultimate has to offer with the rest being third parties.
Another thing that sets Isaac apart from some of these other newcomers like BWD, Elma, Shantae, Banjo etc. is that Isaac's already been a part of Smash in the form of an assist trophy. So while some characters have to wait for the unveiling of the last trailers, Isaac has an asset that could have easily deconfirmed him a long time ago, so why drag it out? Isabelle, Dark Samus, and Chrom have gotten their payoff from being previous assets being suspiciously hidden/missing and ended up playable in the end.
