I wonder if other big threads were like this too. As in, frequently going off topic. You don’t get to so many posts just by talking about one thing, right? You run out of things eventually.

As the frequentor of the Saki, Ray, and Black Shadow thread, I think this is most likely the case.

I get it that people aren't huge F-Zero fans like I am.
But I'm glad you can find excitement in a franchise with such a expansive lore. (Even with the silliness.)

Personally, I would want Pico, Goroh, Black Shadow, or Mighty Gazille. But I realize that's too much to ask. So I would just want something after 5 games.

So I seriously am hoping for something like a revival for F-Zero that can be good for newcomers to the series, and great for veterans. I have a document I'm working on that has a neat idea of what the next title would be like. But I'm not sure how long it'll take.

But anyways, hope to attract more people to F-Zero.

After all these years, I never thought we would become the new Ridley/K. Rool. That’s an achievement in and of itself.

To be honest, I don’t mind being characterized as the chill guys. Being chill is certainly a rare attribute on the internet, and I find that it’s a pretty accurate description of us (except Xeno, Xeno don’t chill). Plus, it’s better than the stereotypes that have been made of Waluigi fans or Krystal fans or Ashley fans, so I’ll take it.

To be fair, supporters of those characters did go through their characters getting deconfirmed. I won't front, I think Isaac fans will be no different, it's human nature to be disappointed when you've invested so much time/hope into something.

If we're in the timeline of an Isaac deconfirmation, I just wished it happened when Lyn/Waluigi/Ashley/Krystal etc. got deconfirmed those early months. People were upset, there was a bunch of drama in social media, and now people have moved on and sometimes I forget that Waluigi had this big thing over his deconfirmation most of the time.

Isaac on the other hand is another highly requested character who's playable status has been dragged out so long, we're closing in on learning the last reveals for this game, so the aftermath of his deconfirmation will be the most memorable and talked about compared to the above fanbases in which case I'm sure people will joke about how the Isaac fan base is 'Chill no more LOL'.

That's just the only thing I hate about that generalization, not that it isn't great to be refferred to as, but it's annoying feeling like you're shoehorned into this nice guy type of generalization and if we act outside of that hivemind it's taken out on the Isaac fan base as a whole. Like mentioned I just find it silly that cause I'm an Isaac fan, I have to be thought of as chill. I mean I am here, don't catch me on YouTube and tumblr though lol.

and that's another part of why I am thinking Isaac is playable this time around. So many fan requested characters like Krystal, Shovel Knight, Waluigi, Bomberman, Zero, Ashley and Shovel Knight all got deconfirmed quite early compared to how it would be for Isaac at this point. Sakurai hates getting people's homes and expectations up.

Wii U Gamer covers leaks time to time. I don't watch him much but at least his videos aren't 10+ minutes long like some channels are and usually gets straight to the point. The reason I mention him is because I watch his top 5 most wanted and Isaac is in his list. So, another Golden Sun fan out there, which is nice.

Well, when I was talking about generalizations, I was referring to how often Waluigi fans get labeled as all trolls, Ashley fans as all lolicons and Krystal fans as all furries. As a fan of all three characters, getting labeled as just ‘chill’ is a wonder in comparison.

Hahaha! I thought the same too! That's crazy! But hey, he's a nice guy though. Speaking of which, I'm still glad that Etika is a Golden Sun fan as well. My respect for him increased because of it. Hopefully he'll get the Joy Con Boyz to root for Isaac. But we'll see...

How about Blood Falcon? I know he's an alt costume for Captain Falcon, but perhaps for the next SSB game.

Also, I have wishes that I want to see on the Switch/other platforms. Like James Bond games (Who's going to grab the game license to make the games now?), Super Robot Wars/Taisen Original Generation Collection for the West/East and Super Robot Wars/Taisen whatever other series, but in the East in English (If Bandai Namco wants money, they could put it on the Switch and PC as well instead of just on the PS platforms.) but I have more than that, lol. Viewtiful Joe is another one of my wishes to see on the Switch because with the way Capcom is doing things right now with bringing older IPs back, we'll be seeing the IP back in the future. A Yu-Gi-Oh game would be amazing that is closer to the older era with Yugi and the others. The Wonderful 101 would be cool to port to the Switch with a sequel, Pikmin 1-3 to the Switch, a Final Fantasy Tactics sequel and a Snatcher revival with the original on the Switch.

There's other games like F-Zero, Advance Wars, Battalion Wars, Custom Robo, Wave Race and Golden Sun, but that's been spoken about a lot. Langrisser and Digimon are getting games on the Switch, so it's cool. Dynasty Warriors 9 is...well, still being worked on with new content so I don't expect it to exist for years if it comes to the Switch...

The issue is that's Blood Falcon's only difference between CF is the colors, the emblems and the personality.

He's actually just a clone who obeys Black Shadow.

Also as someone who was always a water starter purist and chose them every game no matter what, it sucked when Popplio seemed to be considered the most disliked among the Gen 7 starters. And I saw it joked about how it'd be funny if Popplio ended up with the best third evolution and thus everyone would end up liking them the most. Of course while Rowlet ended up with a pretty cool third evolution and thus the fan favorite. It was pretty great seeing Popplio go from the ugly duckling to swan type scenario and it's one of my favorite water starter designs.

Though I know Primarina is the least likely of the Gen 7 to be in Smash but it'd be cool to see it represented in the new Pokemon stage, Pokeball mon or whatever.

Primarina was my favorite in Sun! When I played X, I chose Chestpin first and then Charizard. So when I got Sun, I was like, "Well, I already did Grass and technically Fire, so Water starter it is. Best decision ever! She was the only one I ever used to destroy any Trainer in my path. Rarely did I need my other 5 party members because Primarina was just OP. I don't care what people think, she's awesome!

You know, the more I think about it. Sakurai's choices don't make much sense.

You've got Blood Falcon. That's got barely an aesthetic difference with Captain Falcon, has a different personality, is a literal clone of Falcon, but isn't in Smash as a character.

Then you've got Dark Pit who barely has an aesthetic difference with Pit, has a different personality, and is a clone of Pit, but HE'S the one with a dedicated spot on the roster.

Primarina DEFINITELY would work in Smash! There are so many moves each Pokémon has plus their strange Pokédex entries that as long as the Pokémon doesn’t have a strange shape/size...it will work! I can easily make a moveset for Primarina right now but this is our Golden boy’s thread so I’ll control myself. Lol

Also, Primarina is the most popular final evolution of the starters. The most popular starter when including pre-evolutions is undoubtedly Rowlet!

I honestly can't think of any. :/
