Stupid Sakurai...

I may be late on this but anyways, I noticed this about the Melee character select.

Kirby's in the dead center :|

Because of this I checked Brawl's character select.

Same thing. The Kirby series characters are in the dead center :|

64's character select doesn't really have a center do to the certain amount of characters, but Kirbys still near the center anyways.

I like how in the melee one he's waving and right in the center. Maybe he was placed there because of that. Hahaha.

If they wanted to do some amazing product placement they should put a coke in his hand while he waves. That would be great.

fun fact not counting MH roy and pichu are techinally the hardest to pick in the game like the box's hitbox is smaller.

He only intended for their to be Kirby; the rest of the characters were crammed into the empty space at the last minute.

Well, in defense of the 64 one, the starter characters are just put in the order that they came to exist (note that Mario and DK, which are from the early 80's, come first, while Pikachu, from the mid-90's, comes last.) The unlockable characters were just put wherever they fit. For 64, it's mostly coincidence that Kirby's near the center.

Still, as for Brawl and Melee... suspicious.

well it's just, sakurai favors kirby just because he made him. in brawl hes like the hero, he has more camera time in subspace probably than anybody. putting kirby in the center also makes him kinda stand out more i guess.

Nah, probably cause people start reading from the top left corner, so mario would be first in that regard. He IS nintendo's most popular character. Mushroom kingdom people always follow him as well.

He is a real character in melee, I should know I main him. If you mean to say he is not good that is true. He does suck but then he steals your power so it balances out. (or Kirbycide .)

Maybe in Melee he was over nerfed? But in barlw, he made King Dedede right (for him) and MetaKnight extra right.

Melee was rushed if that means anything. In Adventure, this is one stage where you fight like 20 Kirbies, so I think it would re reasonable to nerf Kirby so that part would be beatable. Same for the fighting 12 Pikachus (with a Jigglypuff and Pichu) stage. They had to be a bit weaker for a reason. I don't think Smash ever had multiplayer as its main focus.

HE was actually top tier (again ) in the final build but then sakurai expected them to ship that version

the Programers hated that Kirby was going to good (homo) again so they nerfed all of his hitboxes and power 3-5 days befor the game was shipped

They also changed kirbys hammer to that stupid swing he has in Melee in the air instead of it being like Brawls (which it was at first)

when sakurai found out he was devastated and went on a tyrade and fired all of his programers...sakurai knew that the programers would by brawl so thats why he put tripping in...to future annoy the programers

The SSB series honestly does seem like a "ooh, wouldn't it be cool if Kirby could eat mario and beat people up" sort of idea that then grew into something more serious.
The gameplay mechanics do seem designed with Kirby in mind and it does seem suspicious that he's the only one with a unique ability which just happens to require other characters.

Yes, it's a great cross-series fighter but I get the fealing that that wasn't sakurai's real intention...

Yeah, noticed that a loooong time back. So funny, so funny. Though, I must admit, he has every right to do so... He DID create the series... I'd probably do the same thing, to be honest. Smack in the center.
Just I wouldn't make MKs. Or make the 1P Adventure an adventure surrounding my characters. Or turn the game into "MY CHARS + these other guys Nintendo paid me to ***** out". Really now? Bet Sakurai gets off to Brawl every night. That's just low. /:
