BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm not even top 5 worthy

Crew Battle would be pretty epic though. Is that the Austin top 5?

Whatever works. We could do it after most of the events are said and done.

I thought you were trying to save money, Espy.

I don't know when I work that Sunday, but we MIGHT need to leave that same Saturday... would that be a huge issue, Chris?

lol

so, i hear theres not going to be teams :(
There won't be if I don't get enough support.

K Prime and Morningstar are bringing their Wiis and Brawl, and I'm supplying my own as well, but I NEED television sets. We only have 3, and I'm trying to get 8 in total (though more is always nice).

If I could get around 8 television sets, I'd be fine with that, but I have yet to hear from anyone aside from Morningstar about bringing some sets.

If we don't have enough television sets. It'll be impossible to finish all the events in a reasonable amount of time.

Not that we have to finish at a certain time, it's just that I'd rather we finish sometime before midnight. No setups means things will go slower than usual, and that means less events as well.

So yeah. TVs. Brawl + Wiis. And I guess Melee for those Meleeheads who want to win like, 8 dollars because there's not really gonna be people there to enter.

You'd probably just be better of mm'ing. lol.

Buu~t we'll see what happens. If we get more than 8 setups, or if we are able to start fast enough, we could run the Brawl and Melee singles, and then manage the RSRC and Brawl Doubles (if there's enough interest).

RSRC better happen. I only have $2 to my name, so I can't even enter the regular tournament. :(

I'll bring Brawl and Melee though. I just might be able to find my Gamecube kicking around somewhere as well if anyone wants me to bring it. No TV though, all of them are too big for me to bring.

I can supply both a Wii+Brawl and a cube with Melee.

Oh and Melee is happening. I'm making sure of this. Gonna get all the players that couldn't afford my last tournament or don't like door fees to come to this.

Espy, edit the title of the thread to include Melee.

Also, my birthday is the day of this tournament.

Lol, are there going to be enough setups for everything?
I certainly hope so.
lol.

We have ~4 televisions confirmed, but potentially have 6 at the moment.
However, SA needs to step it up, and get at the minimum, 8 television sets. We'll figure out how to work around the sets when we see the numbers for Brawl and Melee.

If not enough Melee shows up, I suppose we could do a small round robin for it. I'm honestly not expecting a huge crowd for either game though.

Unless SA surprises me again. C'mon guys, show me your love. <3

We also needs players to bring their Wii+Brawls, and Gamecube+Melees if we want this thing to run smoothly. At the moment, we have somewhere around 4-5 Wiis+Brawl and most likely 2-3 Gamecube+Melees.

Please, again, bring your setups if possible. We are going to need them if we want this event to run smoothly.

A handful of us from UT Smash Club will probably go. I can bring a Wii+melee/brawl and possibly a TV. I think most of us will enter melee. I gotta admit that brawl random char random stage sounds fun though!

I should be able to make it, but family issues are forcing me to sneak a Wii and Brawl (and Melee if need be) and made it impossible for me to sneak a TV set, sorry. If else, need me to bring anything else, Espy?

That's fine. I'm grateful that you guys are helping to pitch in as well.

Don't break the rules just to get another setup over here. If you can't bring one, that's fine. We're getting a bit more Wiis than even I accounted for.

If you don't want to risk bringing your Wii because of circumstances, then perhaps just bring a spare copy of Melee/Brawl?

I updated the first post with the Pokemon entry fee and rules. Check it out if you were interested.
Also added some Brawl rules, though nothing major that shouldn't change much, anyways.

Remember guys, bring setups, and tv sets if you possible can. It'd help us out a great deal.

i can commit to one TV

i may be able to bring a Cube+Melee.

I stopped enjoying kid movies a long time ago.

Now they are all either "meh" like Up or "stupid" like Bolt imo.

Toy Story FTW. >_> <_<
dang, Niddo's sig doesnt lie. He is rugged, to stop enjoying Disney movies

OMG Espy, that's one of my favorite Disney songs EVER! I've always said that if there's an amateur Lion King stage production, I'd drop everything and go play Scar. He's my favorite villain of all time AND he gets to sing such an amazing song.

Just in case you're ever on Jeopardy: Jeremy Irons, the voice of Scar, came down with an illness around the end of "Be Prepared," so Jim Cummings, known for voicing Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and most recently Ray the firefly, stepped in to sing the last few lines. You really can't tell a difference in the voices at all if you aren't looking for it.

Also, "Be Prepared" is visually one of the best music sequences ever conceived by Disney. That last minute when Scar is rising up in the air on that rock perfectly fits into high-quality films' habits of leading the eye to pleasing places. If you watch the clip, notice how your eye naturally picks up on all the hyenas when Scar rides the rising rock. The hyenas are staggered perfectly so that the human eye can't help but notice them. It's so textbook, and to a film student who studies this stuff all the time when he watches movies, it's simply beautiful.

Just watching this clip again literally sends chills down my spine.

Speaking of Disney, The Princess and the Frog introduced one of the coolest Disney characters I've seen since Stitch.
what he said. except i'm not a film student.

edit: Jafar is my favorite villain, partly because he has Iago never shutting up right next to him.

Scar is a super close second though. Jeremy Iron's couldn't have been cast more perfectly for that role. I particularly enjoy his reading of the line "Ooh, I quiver with fear!"

Someone bring BlazBlue for the PS3~~
pfft I don't even know who owns a PS3 much less an arcade stick in the SA smash community. I think K Prime has one?

I could bring my 360 along with my stick but I think Greyfox told me he lost one of his sticks. Can't remember if it was the 360 one or the PS3 one.

I think it was the PS3 one.

Guess I'll bring the 360 then :suess:

That's right.

I have BlazBlue for the PS3, but not the system.
