KASR, bless his soul, instead of saying I'm gonna go on a "Winning Streak", he said he was gonna go on a Winning Steak, or something along those lines. Thus the steak. I then suggested in some thread that Sonic is Steak Tier, after which djbrowny said that sonics who frequent other boards should refer to Sonic as being Steak Tier with no explanation as to why. Its all quite fun when its not overused in a serious thread. Except for Umby, he hates the whole trend, cuz, it is kind of stupid XD.

But I've said it before and I'll say it again, memphis has the best sig on smashboards.

I thought it went more along the lines of:
Am I a hero?
There are no heroes on the sonic boards. The only heros are those with a winning steak.
Oh, then am I a hero then cuz I got a winning steak.

SOMETHING like that. =O

It's origin isn't exactly clear... but the only thing that matters now is that it's there.

These are the things you need to know to play a successful Sonic:

1. Eat Steak.
2. Go to the Thread Index Zone stickied thread and read up on everything you can there.
3. Watch videos of good Sonics like Boxob, Boxob, and Boxob
4. Know Sonic's weaknesses (Aerial based opponents, Opponents that limit approach in some way)
5. Practise match-ups.

Then enjoy.

Sonic for steak tier.

I made this in the other thread, but I found it to be on-topic for this one.

I see Sonic more as something like this:

Eva-01 eating Angel Steak.

Sonic players more like this:

Pilot of Eva-03, who, as anyone familiar with the series should know, was taken over by an Angel.



You might think, wtf is this anime shiz?, but this has meaning, though. He who has steak in his ear, let him hear.

Evas (the giant mech monster things) are a symbol of Sonic. Evas are controlled by pilots. Characters are controlled by players.
The first picture shows Eva Unit 01 devouring an Angel. You can see the Steak in the Eva's mouth.

The second picture is a loser of a pilot who just wanted to be as cool as his friend who was saving teh city with his Eva. By some miracle, he was chosen to pilot an Eva. However, his Eva was taken over by an Angel. While he was under the influence, he survived nukes and did major bad***ery until he got killed by his best friend, who mained MK piloted the Eva that ate the Angel.

That is the general Sonic main.


A player who wanted to be cool and main Sonic to prove that he doesn't suck. He started to main Sonic, but he was overwhelmed and taken over by Steak (because, as proven in the first picture, the Angels are just a huge conglomeration of Steak). He was able to perform and survive crazy shiz. However, he came up against the player who conquered the Steak, and was defeated.


The player who conquered the Steak was the one who got over the fact of the character and learned to manipulate beyond the character level, and into the players' level. The player who got taken over by the Steak was obviously way too caught up with his character. Of course, he ravaged people who didn't know how to handle the matchup, but he ran into the good player. And even though it was painful, the good player knew how to handle this guy and mind****d him to his death.



BONUS:

And this is the Sonic main who piloted the Eva that ate the Steak.

He's a fanboy, yes he is.

So youre telling me that a typo has somehow created the best Sonic phrase in Smashboards history, and that its the ONLY reason MChains' sig is important? that's awesome. you guys have got to be the funniest bunch of people I've ever seen.
