I had an idea, what if the mario odyssey stage is simply titled odyssey and has us travel between idk maybe 3-5 of the bigger kingdoms from the game on an enlarged odyssey.

id love them to use that too, love that pink lavaBelieve it or not I'd rather they don't use New Donk City as an Odyssey stage. If it was my choice I'd go with Mount Volbono because it would be incredibly unique and unlike any stage Smash has. But I have a feeling they'll go with New Donk because it's the most iconic level in that game.
This is something I totally agree with.Believe it or not I'd rather they don't use New Donk City as an Odyssey stage. I'm surprised but happy that Duma Tower cracked the top ten. Here are the top 20 most frequent stage ideas submitted to the Google Form I posted earlier:
Number one is - no surprise - New Donk City, from Super Mario Odyssey.
Coming in second place is the long-awaited Bowser's Castle stage.
The third and fourth spots are both taken by Breath of the Wild: The Great Plateau and Corrupted Hyrule Castle, respectively.
In fifth place, Ultra Space from Pokemon Sun & Moon.
Its fitting that the top five picks are from Nintendo's three biggest franchises; Mario, Zelda and Pokemon.
Here are the rest of the most popular picks:
6. Studiopolis Zone (Sonic Mania)
7. Homecoming Hijinx (Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze)
8. Duma Tower (Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia)
9. Urchin Underpass (Splatoon)
10. Mor Ardain (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)
11. Clock Town (The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask)
12. Grima (Fire Emblem Awakening)
13. New Los Angeles (Xenoblade Chronicles X)
14. Honeylune Ridge / Moon Kingdom (Super Mario Odyssey)
15. Saturn Valley (EarthBound)
16. City Trial (Kirby Air Ride)
17. Osohe Castle (Mother 3)
18. Sauria (Star Fox Adventures)
19. Zora's Domain (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time / Breath of the Wild)
20. Metal Crystal (Super Smash Bros.)
How would you feel about these 20 stages being included in the next Smash? Are you surprised that any ranked so highly?
done and done, though i have for myself some of the options wouldnt be very good stages for like the games with only one option is wasnt always the best choice
Thanks again for all of your ideas!
The survey takes a little while to complete, but it would be nice to get as many responses as possible, so tell your friends!
When I get at least 20 responses, I will make the summary charts available. Anyone who fills out the form will then be able to see the results.
At the end of the month, just before E3, I will put together the most popular choices into a collective fan-made ideal stage roster! Then, as information about the game finally begins to be revealed, we can compare our predictions/ideas to the real thing.
So many stages would work - Pridemoor Keep, the Explodatorium, the Tower of Fate - but I feel like Flying Machine (Propeller Knight's stage) could be converted into a Smash stage with little difficulty. (plus, it would give them a reason to include those weirdly adorable helicopter-mice)I think A Shovel Knight Stage would be cool but i don't really have any ideas so it would be cool if someone else did
I wouldn't be in favor of a Metroid stage that uses hazards. If hazards could be turned off, imagine how many stages could be played competitively. Brinstar has acid, but was banned because of it. Brinstar Depths rotates, as does Frigate Orpheon. Norfair has magma and contributes to stalling. I don't think I have to explain why Pyrosphere is banned. It's a shame because the design and music are great. It's also a shame because all Metroid stages aren't playable. There needs to be one to play on. Metroid: Samus Returns has gorgeous locations and fantastic music. I'd enjoy playing on one. Maybe the surface of SR388, which could end up transitioning from a clear sky to a severe thunderstorm. If we absolutely must have another "rising lava" Metroid stage, SR388's caverns would be a fitting locale for that.

Lumiose city says hi. But yeah I agree, mele mele island's Iki town would make a good stage, Poni island would make a cool stage, aether paradise would make a good stageMost Pokémon stages in Smash are divided into two types: stadiums which change between types and places with legendary Pokémon in the background which mess with the stage. Whatever the new Pokémon stage(s) is/are I hope they don't follow either of those. I might post some ideas later.
