For Pokemon stages I hope we get:

Aether Foundation
Lake of the sun/moone
Pokemon stadium(Melee)

Joker is my personal pick for a character, so of course he must have stage to accompany him, I've nominated the Velvet Room.

The Velvet Room and it's host Igor have appeared in every main series Persona game to date and I doubt that trend will end any time soon. The Velvet Room frequently manifests into different forms, while the above image may not look like an ideal place for fighting, I imagine it could very well take the form of an arena, after all it has taken many bizarre forms before such as the inside of a limo, an elevator, and a dance floor, so an arena wouldn't be out of place at all. Furthermore, I imagine we would get a most welcomed cameo by Igor, a staple of the Persona series.

Just had an idea

Eventide Island from BotW

Everyone starts with basics, but the more damage you deal, the more of your moveset you randomly get to use. It's such a Sakurai thing to choose

I am actually a fan of that idea. Much better than the Great Plateau. I kind of wanted a shrine, but that would just be too generic. This is a much better compromise.

The Leftherian Archipelago, from Xenoblade 2. Rex's home country, and aesthetically my favorite area in the game. I could see this as a shifting stage, with the smaller jellyfishes coming to pick you up and dropping you at various points in the archipelago.

While I don't think we'll get a Persona stage, since SEGA owns Persona, it would be a shame not to have some Persona 4 and 5 songs on the Sonic stage for the next game. Get some trash for Dancing all Night too.

Oh yeah, and if Miis return, give them a Joker costume like what they did in Sonic Forces.

That thought process is a little to minimalist for me. If they're gonna bother getting the rights for Joker, I'll make sure they're giving us the full package!

I feel like we'll end up with a stage based on 1, 2, Switch. Think of it like the Wario Ware stage, but with the games on 1, 2, Switch. Now imagine fighting on the Milk game.

it's VERY unlikely, but what if we had Greenish Hill Zone/Brown Hill Zone, similar to Mushroomy Kingdom? it could be a slightly modified version of the original Sonic 1 Green Hill layout, and it's aesthetic could look like what Windows XP's Bliss looks like today

Anyone remember Pushmo? I wanted a stage based on that game since Smash 4. Hope we get one now!

Fire Emblem: Dragon Shrine (another generic stage)
WarioWare: Diamond City

I hope that either Bowser's Kingdom or the Metro Kingdom from Mario Odyssey becomes a stage.

As far as past stages are concerned, here are the ones I would most like to see come back in Smash Switch:

All those stages were very fun to play in my opinion, even if some of them might feel a bit gimmicky.

I want Saturn Valley from Earthbound. Mr. Saturns spawn even if items are turned off and characters can stay in the hot spring to slowly recover damage.

But the thing I want the most is the Hippie battle theme. I would be happy with any stage as long as that song is included.

If I had to choose returning stages I'd try to get as many out of these

Though absolute priority would be given to Hanenbow. Electroplankton leaving Smash broke my heart to pieces.

My gut feeling is we get a stage from Samus Returns, probably from the final fight of the game. It will be banned from Tournament play.

I also think we get a Pushmo/Crashmo stage where Mallow pulls out/pushes in platforms. It'd be like the Mario Maker stage, but it'd require players to keep moving.

I think this would make a great boss battle if they were to add a story mode.

Does anyone here know anything about Tomb Raider? If Lara Croft got in Smash, what stage would accompany her?

I'm not sure if there is a game equivalent, I hope there is, but the scene from the new movie with the broken plane on the Waterfall would look really cool I reckon

And I will riot if Fountain of Dreams and Magicant don't return, since I want to play those stages really badly but I can't, since I only have SSBU.
One of the SMB1-Mushroom Kingdom-Stages would be nice as well.
I like the music from Fountain of Dreams (which did appear in Smash 64 Dreamland) so as long as I got that I'm good.

Hi everyone. I've seen a lot of character polls, but not a whole lot focused on stages. So, I thought it would be interesting to put together a big stage poll to see which stages the community wants.

Right now I'm doing some preliminary suggestion-gathering. If you have the time, fill out this Google Form with a stage you'd like to see in the next Smash! It will help me compile a list of options for the final survey. Suggestions with many votes will be more likely to make it onto the questionnaire.

A cool idea I had for an ARMS stage would be that the crowd of fans in the stage would be dressed like two of the characters competing, like they do in the game.

I actually really hope that the Duck Hunt stage gets its HD equivalent (like in the Duck Hunt reveal trailer). I felt like that was a huge missed opportunity. However, this is highly unlikely. What do you think about it?

I think the inside of Void's shell would make for a really cool stage, it's aesthetically pretty (and gross at the same time lol) and it'd represent both the darker side of the Kirby franchise and the modern half of it with one stone. Also, the similarities to Dark Star and obvious connection between Void and the Dark Matter invaders would be the perfect excuse to slap a ton of Kirby final boss themes onto the stage, stuff like C-R-O-W-N-E-D, Hyper Zone, Vs. Real Dark Matter, Miracle Matter and the Void Termina themes would be great to have.

Got no real preference for stages from newer games, but if there's a stage I'd like to see, it'd be Saturn Valley from EarthBound and MOTHER 3.

Since it's in two games, you can pull elements from both. I'd imagine it'd have a very unorthodox layout, with ladders that go nowhere and perhaps a hot spring that slowly restores health if you stand in it for 5+ seconds. Nothing overly crazy going on, such as boss characters or hazards, just a really bizarre set of platforms and ladders with some occasional BG element seen in the sky like the Saturn Birdcage, the Skyrunner or the Pork Mothership.

Honestly, I think I'd really like some stages that are just a bit more on the simple side (mixed with some real crazy stuff), without big hazards or gimmicks. Just nice to look at stages that arn't too intrusive as you fight.

Maybe Duck Hunt could get a new stage based on Hogan's Alley. It could be a side scrolling stage like Mushroomy Kingdom except it takes place in the city. The hazards are the outlaw cutouts that pop up. The shooter from the fourth wall shoots at these outlaw cutouts.

I like to think of the stages based on what music they'd have. Based on that, I'd love to see...
- From BoTW, Hyurle Castle. It could work as a "large stage", with the ominous music.
- From Xenoblade C. 2, I'd love to see Mor Ardain: the music is so energetic! It could work as a stage with sideways moving platforms.
- It's most likely impossible, but it'd be awesome to have a stage from Celeste (though I don't think Madelaine would make for a good character for Smash); It could incorporate the stage gimmick of one of the levels, and maybe even move between various levels like the Fire Emblem castle stage. The gimmicks could include the semaphore blocks (which quickly move when touched, and launch people), the grumpy blocks (which start moving when hit), the bubbles (which could work a bit like the Dk barrels), in addition to trampolines, falling platforms and spikes. It could even be like that climbing stage in Brawl.
