Like I say, we just have to wait and see. I just get a little miffed when people get so full of themselves like seen above, but that's no reason to try to state your opinion as fact, which was what was being done. You have to look at the issue from two perspectives. Sure there could be cuts, but there could also not be, we won't know until the game comes out.
Takamaru was actually fairly popular on Sakurai's Japanese poll leading up to Brawl. It was how I learned of the character and that's probably the case with a lot of people here.

Sorry, it was intended to just be a kind of visual interpretation of the leaks I considered most credible, and what assumptions could be inferred from their consolidation. It wasn't supposed to be character debate, as such; though as most leaks pertain to characters, what qualifies as appropriate discussion for this thread isn't always so black and white.
That was a VERY long time ago... perhaps even the very first "leak" for this game, also known as the Halibuton leak. It also contained the infamous "Debu" thing.
Yeah, that was an interesting leak. He said that Retro were developing a new DKC game before it was ever announced. Very weird.
It was probably just a lucky guess. I remember a leaker had predicted that Mac would be revealed in the next direct, but he also said Lucario was cut.
I think Mewtwo has a better chance than Roy. First of all, he's been featured in X/Y, plus he has a far larger fanbase than Roy. In terms of leaks, he's also far more popular of a choice.
Roy hasn't been featured in many leaks. Anyway this is getting a bit off topic

in that it's pretty much outright attention-whoring, thanks to him acting as the Sakurai Whisperer in spilling his intimate thoughts and desires, but as far as the Anna thing goes, isn't that basically what happened with Roy in Melee? Sakurai initially looked at Leaf as the more obvious choice, but went with Roy because he did more to differentiate himself with his fire? That could very easily end up being the case again, and although you'd think Robin would be the choice if that happened, Anna's not some Tharja, as has been said.

Sounds plausible at least. And to it's credit, the Rosalina trailer did feature the Main Theme to Kirby Air Ride.
