If you ask me, it'll probably just be a mediocre pic; the "disappointment" of the week if it's more disappointing than Monday's.
2-year anniversary that is. March for sure is a good chance, but hope for the best. I can feel Palutena's trailer being so amazing.
All I know for sure; as soon as Iwata says "We have one last thing to show to you today", I'm giving my full attention.

Yeah, no word on a Nintendo Direct, so no newcomer either
Has there ever been an instance where we got a random Nintendo Direct, or has there always been a heads-up?
Well I actually don't remember. Only thing I know was that SSBB was released in the U.S. on 3/9/08 (because that's when I got the game, too), but I do remember that Japan got it about a month earlier than us... just forgot the exact date though.
It's tomorrow. January 31st.

He did at least mention the 15th anniversary of Smash Bros. Nothing special though...
Never know. It's hard to predict Sakurai you know. He may dazzle us, he may not.
Another unfortunate truth, though; and I'm not trying to start a fanbase war here; to my understanding, Palutena has more going for her at the moment, with a realistic leak and everything.
Those who can predict Sakurai do it well, and then do it horribly.

We saw with Alfonzo that non-playable character don't have outlines, and she has one.
If you check my information tab on my profile, you'll see what I've gotten right so far. I haven't gotten anything wrong yet, thankfully.
I'm surprised that there hasn't been a picture of her in a while.
Or some new Marth, Link, or Rosalina, cause there's never enough of that!

Assuming it's a leak, most companies that have leaks usually just ignore it and continue on with their regular reveal schedule so there's nothing saying he's obligated to address it for the time being. For all we know, we won't get her until the tail end of the hype period.
It's only partially sarcasm, I actually want to see more of them.
As far as I recall, Masahiro has de-confirmed most of the leaks so far, like the release date and such. But not this, even after 2 weeks.
Have we seen Assist Trophies on 3DS? Alfonzo is a stage fixture
Besides, if they're removing her from Pit's Final Smash, they're going all or nothing with her. Not putting her in an Assist Trophy slot.
Excluding the Spring release bit he "deconfirmed" them by doing nothing aside from updating casually, otherwise he didn't care. There's nothing saying he'll address this leak in particular right now, especially if it wasn't planned yet.
