I enjoyed her character in uprising (then again all of them were good, was a great game). Not sure whether she makes sense as a fighter but then again neither does villager, or wii fit trainer or R.O.B or etc.

There was at least that part in Chapter 20, so unlike them, at least she has SOME history of fighting'

That's what you called Luigified. That's what we refer to as a semi- clone. Maybe you have a different definition, but if so, its not the widely accepted one.

When I read "Not a semi clone, I imagine they share close to none of that. Three specials (and a final smash) still shows he was added to be partly his own, and partly an alternative to Fox.

Seriously though, one person's semantically understanding of "semiclone" doesn't belong in this discussion.

If he paused the game, training mode or otherwise, a display would be there, no? You know, the display in normal mode telling you how to quit the match, or the display showing all the training options in training mode.

Wolf is less of a clone than Yoshi compared to Mario. Seriously, the entire Smash 64 roster have mostly the same 5 aerials, with the exceptions being Ness, Link, and kinda sorta Samus.

The thing is, not all Assist Trophies move. Some just stand in one spot while attacking. Like Hammer Bro.. If this leak just so happens to be real, and Palutena IS in fact, an Assist Trophy, then I think it's safe to assume that she'll be one of the kinds that attack without moving.

Oh, and in reference to your statement that she is idle in the first picture, many other Assist Trophies will stand in an idle pose before attacking.

Right. At the very least that would make sense.

I don't think the leaker would fake one and then have a real screenshot right next to it. They're either both real or both fake.

The only discrepancy that a few friends brought up to me is that they think she looks too close to the screen as opposed to Mario. But I don't think that's a huge deal.

I guess, but in pause if I remember correctly, in a regular match you can remove them to show them. Either way though, the second an assist trophy comes out they are moving in some way. Palutena is clearly stationary and has no movement what so ever. At least with Ashley she has her armed raised as if she is about to cast a spell.

Also, in training mode you can set it so characters don't move. He then zoomed in-game camera and took the shot

They did that with the Jigglypuff, Lucario, and Ness thing, lololol (although they did it in one of their trailers, lol!).

Ignoring the fact that Sakurai wanted Diddy paired with Dixie in Brawl? It's certainly interesting he might want to retread the idea, but Sakurai's a weird guy. Besides, based on what the "leak" says, they'd switch with down-B and their movesets would be different. I don't think it'd be THAT drastic of a change.

"I'm just not feeling K. Rool" isn't a valid reason to doubt potential information. While I'm skeptical about a leak I'm actually satisfied by, and will remain so, history shows that Sakurai enjoys DKC fanservice.

Look, whether or not you believe the "translator leak", we'll have a pretty good idea if the guy knows his stuff on Feb.13th.

I feel I've said my piece on the Diddy/Dixie thing, I don't want to get into an argument over it as I'm sure some people would love it. I just think it's an idea that'd take the same amount of work to make them separate characters, but severely insulting to fans of the characters. I just can't see it getting past the "concept" stage.
K. Rool has been in 2 party games in the past 15 years. When he wasn't in the first DKCR it wasn't a good sign, and he doesn't appear to be in Tropical Freeze either. Although if he somehow turns out to be in it, then I think his chances shoot right up. And don't get me wrong here, he's one of my most wanted characters. I personally want 2 new DK reps.
Wolf is as much of a Clone of Fox as Ike is of Marth.

I'd guess that they'll reveal Dixie on the next direct as a solo character, and Diddy to coincide with the reveal of Tropical Freeze.

No Ridley = No Dice. Add Ridley to it, and I'll jump aboard as a supporter of it, even if it has Chromeric, even with the God awful idea of teaming Diddy and Dixie (tournament banned IMO).

Compared to Mario, she looks unpolished.

I compared it to Rosalina, and she looks similarly unpolished.

Honestly, the game is maybe 10 months away, so it's not surprising.

When I think "Semi clone" I think specials. If Ganon had fully unique specials, he wouldn't feel like a Captain Falcon clone.

The point is that the guy who did the translator leak and I probably have the same thoughts when it comes to clones.

Hell, all alot of casual players have to do to think clone is Final Smash, and even Ganon has that over Wolf.

If anything, it just means Wolf may get more unique than he already is.

February 13th can't come fast enough...

Its probably best that they dont do anything if they want to keep it a secret. If they address one leak, they have to address them all to avoid suspicion, otherwise it proves its legitimacy
